❝ you saw nothing !! ❞ it was just a broken hilt— well, on its own. give it a little bit of spirit energy, channel it into a corporeal form, and there you have it ! why had he thought trying to see what all he could turn the damn thing into while standing in a seemingly public place was a smart idea ? anyone could walk up and see, take his hilt away, or even worse, get him into trouble for carrying around dangerous weapons where people could get hurt. ❝ it’s a stick ! see !? just a stick ! ❞

given that his only romantic canon ( for my blog anyway ) relationship was with Kikyō and we all know how that ended, Inuyasha represses the hell out of certain emotions – namely, attraction / love.
part of it is due to his fear of ‘getting burned’ again, but mostly it’s because he doesn’t know how to express his emotions, and that’s assuming he understands them to begin with. when Inu doesn’t understand something, he gets frustrated, and that frustration comes out as anger targeted at the source of his confusion and frustration. so, ironically, he’ll end up fighting with and being even meaner towards the object of his affection than he would if he was just interacting with them normally.
some cues to if Inu is crushing are obvious, such as him getting flustered more often and feeling / acting awkward or embarrassed in scenarios he normally wouldn’t be. others are a bit more subtle, like him allowing or even initiating more physical contact, lowering his guard, and being overprotective / possessive.

God, he’s so bad at thanking people. Running his fingers along the back of his neck, Ed bites the inside of his cheek. Mulls his words over in his head. Ugh.
“Thanks back there,” he awkwardly begins, “It was getting...dicey.” That’ll have to do. Ed’s a strong fighter, and he hates having to admit his own shortcomings when it comes to his physical prowess.
He’d been asked to help out with a nearby village that had been having demon troubles. But things had gone awry and Ed had massively underestimated the power of the demon. Luckily this girl had shown up at just the right moment.
Taking a moment to fight with the sleeve of his robe, Ed extends his hand to shake Kagome’s. It’s then that he feels the ridiculous amount of spiritual energy radiating off of her. Recognition flashes through golden-hued eyes. “Hey, you’re that girl who travels with the half demon, right?” Ever so blunt, Ed probably doesn’t even realize that his words could be taken offensively.

Aeon had visited Japan a few times along his travels. The first time, he happened to make it just in time for cherry blossom season. He then made it a point to try and see them bloom and fall when he could, as it made quite an impression on him. Now that he was back, he couldn't help but lament the fact that he was a few months late to see those gorgeous flowers; this time, however, he had something to take care of.
The Higurashi Shrine had many structures to it, but Aeon let his intuition guide him to a small well house. His eyes scanned the area for anyone who may be nearby. There wasn't a soul in sight, but this was a bit of a tourist attraction--albeit, not a very popular one from what he understood.
With one hand, Aeon opened the sliding door and made his way inside. Before descending down a few stairs he made sure to shut the door behind him. It was quite dark, even with the sun peeking through where it could. Carefully, he made his way down each step, stopping just short of the well in the center. A gloved hand rested on the edge of the well, metallic blue eyes peering into the darkness.
Aeon couldn't see a thing, but he could certainly feel it. There was something here, that shouldn't be here. He grasped the handle of the weapon at his hip, blades hidden for now, and felt a reaction. A rift, or a portal was lurking inside this well. He didn't get a chance to determine anything further, as a beam of sun shone upon him and lit the area up. Aeon spun around to see a young woman eyeing him with confusion.

He’d been walking through the forest--on the hunt for food with his usual tools--when he heard it from the mouths of a pair of weak demons who had been walking together as though they didn’t have a care in the world; they were pure, of course, so they had that going for them, at least. they didn't’ have to deal with being “dirty” or “unclean” or a “mixed breed” which wasn’t much better to some in comparison to a Half or even worse to other demons.
Their conversation was a simple one: they were talking about a human girl who seemed to be on a quest for special jewels and apparently, she was powerful in her own right. Pausing behind a tree, he eavesdropped on the conversation until the pair were out of sight. It was possible that they hadn’t even noticed him, but at least they hadn’t seemed to have scared anything off.
There were a few deer hanging around though, and with a couple swipes of his claws, they became part of an easy meal that would be relatively simple to prepare. It didn’t take long to actually prepare the deer before he began sifting through the tall grass for familiar vegetables and herbs; transferring everything to a two tier wooden box with straps which he then slid onto his shoulders like a packed bag, he wiped away the sweat from his forehead with a sigh. He needed to be on his way back to the mountain cave soon just in case anyone opened their mouths about the jewels that he had. They were all that he had to remember his mother by and no one would be taking that from him, especially the one that he had hidden for safe keeping.
Unfortunately, it seemed as though his day had been destined to be particularly unlucky for just a minute or two into his walk back, his dark gaze spied what seemed to be a funnily dressed human woman a few meters ahead of him. Whether she was looking for something or just lost, Howl was unsure, but a light frown settled onto his face. Removing the bracelet from his left wrist, he tucked it away into his top for safe keeping. It was possible that she could be the human that the other demons had been talking about, and seeing as he’d left both his katana at home, that didn’t leave much to defend himself with; despite this, he began to make his approach.
Most humans were weak, but sometimes, they held surprises.
