some was just for flavor / rewording, some I removed because they were redundant or no longer applicable. and some are significant. for those who already read them, you don’t have to re-read, I’ll just post the list of notable changes here. I’m in the process of trying to redesign the google doc or come up with a better alternative because I’m not really a fan of docs, but eh, we’ll see. so for now its only the main rules page on my blog that’s been fully edited.
SPECIFIC RULE CHANGES BELOW.
FOLLOWING & UNFOLLOWING. if I don’t follow you back after 1-2 weeks, you can most likely assume I’m not interested. conversely, if I follow you and I’m not followed back within a week ( more or less, depending on how active your blog is ) I will quietly unfollow, no hard feelings!
however, I want to note that I get very anxious with “silent mutuals” — that is, mutuals I have had zero interaction with, IC or OOC, after a significant period of time since our mutual following. look, I understand, I’m busy too, and I don’t want to pressure anyone … but if several months have passed and there’s been no exchange between us, I get really antsy and worried that I was just followed to add another number to your blog stats. even just liking or commenting on a post of mine every once in a while until you’re ready to interact is fine… I just need some kind of engagement. if there’s nothing but radio silence, I will have to soft block.
UNAFFILIATED & CROSSOVER-CENTRIC. my primary focus for interactions will be with other fandoms outside of mine, although I am more than happy to writing with muses from the Inuyasha series, I just won’t often follow first or seek them out on my own.
DUPLICATES. I am neutral towards duplicates. I don’t seek them out or follow first, but if another Inuyasha is interested in following and writing with me, I’m open to it. however please bear in mind that I do carry a heavy amount of duplicate anxiety mostly due to negative experiences with them across various fandoms, including this one, but I am trying very hard to overcome it and not let it get in the way of having fun experiences.
MAINS & EXCLUSIVES. mains will be a thing, as I like having a reliable tent of partners that I can jump to and can jump to me and get something going. there will be a maximum of 3 mains per character. as for exclusives, I usually will only agree to exclusivity with muses outside of my fandom, but I may make an exception if I really feel a connection with a specific mun’s portrayal; the same applies for ship exclusivity.
There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves; it is not my nature. My attachments are always excessively strong.
Wanna make a monster? Take the parts of yourself that make you uncomfortable — your weaknesses, bad thoughts, vanities, and hungers — and pretend they’re across the room. It’s too ugly to be human. It’s too ugly to be you. Children are afraid of the dark because they have nothing real to work with. Adults are afraid of themselves.
