Why did the school feel the need to drown him in stacks of paperwork? Shouldn’t everything have been finished before he even entered the campus? Sadly whoever was running this shithole academy didn’t know how to run it efficiently– Whichever. He’s getting paid. And making fun of his trash brother was a plus…

“Hmm?” His eyes drift away from the papers to the door (for the nth time) and it’s almost by surprise that it isn’t another random female student, but his sister. The youngest one in fact. The only sister he cares about. But at least the smile on his lips is genuine. “Joyce. I was wondering when you’d visit me.”

“I would have visited earlier, but I swear I was the last person in this academy to figure out that you were here. I couldn’t exactly walk out of classes to come find you either. Not saying you’re not important because you are--” Joyce stops, noticing the blabbering she’s doing and sweat drops. Royce is in the middle of the room while she’s still in the doorway, having not moved an inch since she got there. 

For some odd reason, the girl becomes worried. Is Royce the same person he was years back, or has he changed in any way? She takes small steps until finally reaching her oldest brother’s desk. “How are you? Did your first day of teaching go well?”

Tutoring with Marvin has been going well (or that’s what he likes to think). His grades have been better since the beginning of the year and he isn’t failing every single one of his quizzes—even if he does get help on them. And he’s been getting decent grades on his homework with the help of Marvin correcting every single one of mistakes, but his tests. His tests, to put it simply, are shit. He’s failed almost all of them (he managed to make a C on one out of pure luck, pure luck) and he can’t have that now. He can’t afford to fail his last year of school again, his mother would kill him! And no one wants Mama Radcliffe threatening you with Pongo, oh no. No, no you don’t.

Lukas decides it was best to approach his statistics teacher after school rather than after class. They have a class to teach and he has a class to attend (not like it mattered anyways, he could skip it he wanted to). So of course after school is the best option.

And here he is, outside of Royce White’s classroom. He had left his guitar at the dorms for once and he feels practically naked without it. But that’s not what he should be concerned with—he needs to boost his grade up, that’s what he needs. He takes a breath in and peeks inside the classroom. The teacher is seated by the desk, looking down at some papers. It’s now or never. He steps into the classroom, greeting the teacher with a bright smile.

“So—heya Mr. White—wait, is it okay if I called you Royce?” Fuck, no he isn’t supposed to make a bad impression on his teacher. “No shit, uh- I mean Mr. White. I have a question.” He pauses. “Is it okay if you, uh, tutor me?”
