Episode 11, Run!
My initial reactions and some other thoughts on the episode ⏳️
Mark's little smile when he suggested 'Todd' and it stuck 🥹💓🤣
I'm going to be honest, I'm actually really confused right now. We didn't see anywhere near enough any sort of actual romantic development or pining between Mark and Amber for them to be having this conversation about "what could've been" 🤨😬
The politicians being crazy again 😟😐
Team's first (onscreen?) hangout, I'm excited to see all the interactions and dynamics! 😁
Oof, what is going on with Evan's sister? This storyline was introduced 10 months ago, and we still don't know what's going on
Um?? I am confusion? While I don't think Mark and Amber need to be romantically involved, I..... also don't understand this new girl/random hookup? If they introduced the Melinda story, and basically put a dent in Mark’s character, it should at least get exploration and closure (I seriously don't get what the point of this random hookup was? I actively am not shipping Mark and Amber (for a variety of reasons, among them the animosity surrounding the Melinda situation, the way they can't seem to have one serious conversation w/o making digs at e/o, etc.) So, that's not even the reason, but.... like, this little encounter with a rando added nothing to the story and just felt out of place? Especially with the way the Mark and Melinda story still hasn't concluded? I don't even want Mark and Melinda to get back together, I don't think they can (or should) come back from what happened. But, if this storyline existed, and sadly it does, I do think it needs more exploration and closure. As opposed to it being introduced but only used as an obstacle b/w Mark & Amber, then us being told (but never actually shown) some sort of drawn out "thing" between them, which kinda sorta ended, but not really and is morphing into a love trangle, with a side of randos?)
Another red herring with this cult thing......??
Lmaoo, Mark and Luke and the ribbing. My brotp 🤣
That Mark and Amber cleared the air, or at least tried (between Amber's digs at Mark, and Mark's digs at "the doctor" 😬😅) and decided that it wouldn't work between them, is good at least while Julio is in the picture, but I fear this is where a love triangle starts and...... 😬
So is the hippie a red herring or a patsy? 🧐
Lmaooo, Mark so offended and giving Nathan puppy dog eyes when he gave the assignment to Evan and Bell instead 🤣
Welp, Mark was right about the "cr*ck, m*th" 😬🤣
Lmaooo, Mark and Amber bsing the dum dum into confessing 🤣
Looks like "Todd" is going to k word his wife, go even more insane and blame everyone for it, then go on this mission for revenge? If I had a penny for every time a big bad on Countdown did that, I would have two pennies, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice 🤔
I kind of feel like in just an episode and half, there's been more backstory on Todd, than we've had in eleven episodes for the main characters, after nine episodes of a lot of exploration on Volchek, but not much deeper stuff on the main characters. And I just really would love to see more backstory for the main characters, more deep interactions between them, more of their personalities, their personal lives. It's necessary for investment, and I'm not sure why it's deliberately being left out. I think there is a lot of screen time used on extensive flashbacks on the villains, their stories, even used on red herrings and many, many dead ends, and even some of it being used instead on the main characters would've been helpful and led to very interesting scenes
Countdown
Weakest episode so far, but that's expected tbh.
I judge the quality of the eps based on Finau and his family's screentime and the amount of heart eyes between Bell and Shepherd.
I'm sorry for the new bad guy, but nobody was doing it like Volchek, and I'm still sad he is dead. They should have put him in a maximum security prison and have him help the team at some point in future seasons. The wasted potential.
My girl Amber is back (and even more beautiful) and still doesn't have a storyline that doesn't revolve around Meachum. I feel like a broken record. I don't care how hot or good as an actor Jensen is. Jessica is as hot and talented as he is, and right now? They're wasting her potential over a useless love story. Nope. No.
Hell, even in this fucking romance, everything is about Meachum and his manpain. And she forgave him way too quickly.
Do I sound bitter? Because I'm bitter.
Always too little Finau. Hopefully, we will see more of him in the future seasons🤞🏼
Happy about Molly's sl (and for the lack of another useless romance), and I can't wait to watch Bell and Shephard help her.
I also, for reasons unknown, really like Molly. Can we keep her?
Fitz, you'd better survive and join the team forever. You clever, cute, garroulus (and I chose this word), ridiculously hot man!
