Oh I didn’t mean they hated NVN 2, I meant that some people at Obsidian (like Avellone before he left) seem to dislike doing romances in games which is a shame because for something they don’t like they’re really good at doing them.

ahaha yep, I think he said he had to ask for advice for writing Gann romance? I don’t remember seeing Safiya’s writer hating romances.

anyway, Gann’s romance is literally my fav romance ever, so Avellone should just bite the bullet and write a lot of them, asking for advice :D

You posting about MotB so much was a huge reason behind when I ended up playing base NVN 2 and MotB. Base NVN 2 was okay but I loved MotB and the romance with Gann was so good that it’s a shame so many people at Obsidian seem to hate doing them.

I’m glad I dragged another person into that game :D I didn’t hear about obsidian “hating” these games tho, I know the producers were huge pain in the ass and NWN2 was kinda a lost case, but MCA himself called MotB a spiritual successor to PS:T and I think I remember reading of other writers being also proud of it?

How I feel about this character - I like him generally, I think he’s s giant nerd

All the people I ship romantically with this character - idk?? I don’t ship him with anyone specifically. I guess Arcade\Courier can be cute

My non-romantic OTP for this character - omg Julie Farkas, local leader of Followers of the Apocalypse in a Fort where you meet Arcade. She’s awesome and I headcanon that they’re friends and nerd out about science and medicine together, and get into heated debates about humanitarianism and responsibility of having knowledge. And she also tries to get him to socialize with other people, and he tries to refuse and Julie is like “goddamit Arcade, no one cares what you try to hide with your obvious lying, come have a beer”

My unpopular opinion about this character - ??? what’s a popular opinion on Arcade? i honestly don’t know

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon - ehhh, a bit more privilege exploration, a bit less whining about burden of an educated man

All together, Ryan Kerr’s Live Well is undoubtedly folk. Capturing a brooding Western twang balanced with some of the most genuine lyrics spoken aloud, the singer/songwriter wholeheartedly captures the passion and aesthetic of the style. With that, however, comes an array of stories of love and honestly that are sure to appeal to anyone within earshot. 

From the gentle, rolling guitar lacing through “I Got A Son” to the steady headnodding thumps that trail “Take You Home” and the building roar that grows throughout “Five Friends,” each track features little bits and tricks that not only show off the instrumentation of this record, but the thought behind the construction. Much like the loud words he speaks, Kerr’s music -- more specifically, his acoustic guitar -- also demands a great deal of attention as its strong, jingly sound makes its way to the forefront of this record, and together the two form a necessary listen. 

Live Well is a record that needs to be payed attention to. It’s honest, direct and it’s pretty dang solid.
