THE PR PRESS PREMIERE: FEINTER - “ACHES”

“Not biting your bullets no more, so keep your sins to yourself.”

Toronto by-way-of Calgary's Feinter portrays heartache with electronic textures and barbed imagery on his sophomore single. “Aches” is dark, polished, tension and release weaving its way between the atmospheric guitar lines and cool beats. Principal songwriter Ryan Mumby has a punk background and it shows in his emotionally grating execution.

“Aches” was produced by Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, Said the Whale). The song never really climaxes in tempo, but Mumby’s vocals pull out a vulnerability that is easy to connect with. It puts the ugliness of human nature under a microscope and gives the listener an opportunity to reflect on similar interactions in one’s own life. Do not compromise your values for others; surround yourself with people who respect that.

The music video features Mumby against a white backdrop, shadows to psychedelic colours juxtaposed with disappointment – and recognizing that some people will never change their inconsiderate ways.
