No Name - Ryan O’Shaughnessy (My Inspiration)
The song the inspired me...
It’s actually quite strange how I came about this song. It came at a time where I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do or which direction I should take. Watching “Britain’s Got Talent” on a Saturday night was when I first heard the song. It really blew me away to what song writing could really do. Ryan managed to write a love letter without even talking to the person it was intended for with a lovely chord structure and melody that sounded so relaxed. This will be and has been what I will strive to be. I never knew that lyrics could be such a powerful thing and this song really opened my eyes to that.
After finding out about the backstory to “No Name” and Ryan, the whole song became clearer and the lyrics mean more. The entire song gives 100% more meaning when you know what it’s about.
