finally getting to romance kerry again and i'm so normal about it. stares at boat drinks being my tracked quest. passes away.

kerry's romance in the context of vin means so much to me, especially since i've been rotating how their relationship feels akin to some kind of soulmate trope. i don't even like soulmates all that much, but for vin and kerry? makin' an exception bc it fits them so well.

vin is and always will be a steady ground for kerry to stand on, his rock to his roll. they have their moments post-tower ending (my god, their spats...) but man, without vin, kerry felt hopeless, and kerry completes the puzzle that is vin's life.

i... actually didn't meant to ramble about them here but been writing them in my post-tower fic and they have me a bit emotional. so yeah. idk. have this pretty pic i guess LOL.

in pain cuz i had to do the tower ending again for vin so i could double check some things for my fic and i'm. ow ow ow ow. why is this my favorite ending again? LMAO

ugh i'm having a bunch of vin thoughts today and how he's become such a rock for so many characters (kerry in particular, but even nix, rogue, river, panam, judy, the list goes on), and how he's overwhelmingly kind, something that does not last long in NC. he's fought back against what arasaka made him be, seeing that he's got a choice now—which is why he doesn't kill easily. he doesn't want the random gangoons he comes across in gigs to die by his hands—he doesn't want to rob them of their own choice. this does lend himself some flaws of course, and there are exceptions (he will in fact kill scavengers only to later realize that, hey, they too have a choice. character development!), but all in all, he's found a wisdom that he sticks by.

back to being his lovers' and friends' rock, he's just an ever constant, unwavering foundation. and it's the fact he's like this so fuckin effortlessly? that core of who he is, a sweet guy who has immense love to give, a shoulder to cry on, someone to confide in, and offers gentle honesty that also doesn't hold back. like, fuck, he's just. so. why am i getting emotional LMFAO.

anyway tldr vin's such a sweetheart. i don't know how he's turned out to be such a sweetiepie but he is and i'm. UGH. gives him a kiss.
