I met Ryan Ross and he's as sweet as 🥧 pie! He's takes time with every fan that comes up to him and he always says "thank you," laughs and tilts his head down. He has a beautiful smile, and his speaking voice is gentle. He's just kindness personified, and that it the gospel truth!

what are your favorite ships to write?

ryden is my favorite (currently) i literally cannot get them out of my head. i've got an affinity for interesting psychological profiles and relationships that burn bright and go up in flames. i can find so much more inspiration in a relationship that almost but not quite works out, it's like a puzzle with mismatched pieces and a lot of my writing surrounding them feels like trying to pick out the pieces that don't fit and tracing the edges to understand why the shapes are different.

pete falls into the same category for me. a lot of the appeal comes from the instability that he obviously has. whether that's counteracted by patrick caring for him unconditionally despite that, or another ship like wentzross where he ends up kind of tormenting whoever is on the other end, i find that there is a lot of possibility for interesting stories there.

i haven't put out any gabilliam yet, but they're growing on me fast. i don't have a super deep reason for this one, i just think beckett is really hot sorry.

an underrated pick is ryan and z berg. the appeal of them also stems from the same place as peterick, which is that whole unconditional/unstable balance. the guilt and secret relief that comes with letting someone down and knowing they love you despite it all. actually one of my favorite aus i've written with someone was where brendon was ryan's therapist, and ryan was in a sort of relationship with z. anyway it ends up with the three of them together and a lot of soft moments where ryan gets taken care of by !!!two!!! people who really love him. and of course all the fights that come from ryan's flighty tendencies too. it's so juicy.
