Yet another opportunity to rant about my sweet children. I defs need to redraw this now that I am a little more skilled. Still pretty happy with Rhen’s gorgeous hair though. I just love everything about them. 

How he is kind to her, always, no matter what forces he has to fight to be so. 

How she chooses him, every time, to be in the party, to talk to in the manor, at the final battle, as the final choice, even when he’s not one of the options, after he has spent so long being put aside for other ideals by everyone else in his life including himself 

How he respects her and looks up to her, he sees her greatness long before she does, he treats her like a queen when she is still a peasant with a wooden sword. Her words have weight to him even when she’s asking him to question everything he ever believed.

How she sees him, how hard he is trying, how gentle and caring he naturally is. She sees that his heart is good and she shows him, too. She gives him the rare chance to see himself as she does.

How they give each other reasons to smile and blush, even in the midst of some of the darkest times in both their lives.

How he is the first to offer her a choice, and how he loves her no matter what she decides. In every possible ending the one constant is his love for her, unwavering, immutable.

How in the true ending, she gets to choose him once again, she changes their stars and takes him with her, he gives up everything to follow and support her, she proposes (in the most adorable way possible might I add) and he says yes without hesitation and they both heal and grow and live happily ever after.

Also, I saw a caption on a hercules and meg post that was like “Boys who give up immortality for you>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>” and i immediately knew I had to use it in reference to Dameon so, if you don’t mind.

I still think it should be called Iya’s Quest, no offense to Ean in fact he would fully agree with me and I love him for it. Didn’t draw him though, whoops. Made up for it in the next question. 

Nyway I drew Rye and Iya because they are precious and I drew Jack because he is my AP baby and HE DESERVED A BETTER ENDING IN AV2 but I digress.

I specifically remember redrawing this like eighty-seven times and finally giving up and just going with it BUT I TRIED and I love them both, EanxIya is so cute and the RhenxDameon parallels are GORGEOUS and i wish I could rant about them more.

I drew Rye, and I gave him stubble because it was Necessary. My roomies and I are playing av2 (mostly I am playing and they are watching but we switch off sometimes XD) and we just got to the part where we get Rye nd I am very excited In other news, one more prompt and I'll be done!! It only took me like a whole year-_______- Now, who's ready for THIS year's prompt set? XD XD XD

V-Day Couples Illustration: Rye and Emma Dance: Flamenco Song Inspo: I don’t remember

A lady dancer can perform a flamenco dance solo, but there are versions that can include a pair. Flamenco is some parts more passionate, but it's also very energetic with all the clapping and foot-tapping. I chose flamenco for this couple for this reason... that, and I like to think Candar is supposed to be inspired by France and Spain.

As for colors: I just felt that if I left it black, white, and brown, it wouldn't really express that liveliness that flamenco is about... or the liveliness between this couple and their odd relationship.

Disclaimer: Please don’t take my opinions towards dance too seriously. I merely lifted them off my basic education/knowledge in dances and quick Google/YouTube searches.

Q:  “What is Your Favorite Look on Your Partner?”

At first I was like “Hehe farmboy” but then I realized that he has to have really, really nice muscles to string a bow and pull the string to shoot arrows... and occasionally to hunt and cook for Nic and anyone else who wants meat on the menu. (I HC the elves are vegan.)

Then I looked up archery images on Google. Even if I knew I was still going to choose to draw: a back view for the back muscles. Then, I realized that what Rye was actually wearing was a chest guard over his vest and shirt. Sorry, no back muscles this time.

I think that if he wants to, he can beat Emma in a fight (there’s a reason why I cannot resist taking them into the party... their attack power together is SO strong and just slayed everything while I was figuring out my strategies for Ean and Iya). However, Rye’s prejudices usually get the better of him.
