not necessarily canon but it could go like this:

Rajmund: yeah grief is pretty rough, you can't just rush through it. Losing my parents was so debilitating for long months

Roger: i thought you murdered them in cold blood?

Rajmund: I'm not talking about their death, I'm talking about me realizing way earlier that they never treated me like parents should, and losing any hope they will ever change. I lost the idea of parents i had in my head when faced with the truth that they never existed in the first place

Roger: hmm, that's a heavy loss indeed

For my 2023 calendar I wanted to draw illustrations for my ryjkacze story, unfortunately since July I had something else to draw so I can't tell for sure when will the calendar be completed. Might as well post this now as "part 1"
