Today’s listening, Beyond Screaming Sax. This is a two-track live performance of T. Mikawa and Ryoko Ono. The screaming sax is frenetic and energized. Mikawa’s electronics hold tones and feel deliberate and calculating, very different. Great album.

I have never heard of R-Records. It looks like it is all Ryoko Ono releases. Perhaps her label. I’ll have to check out more.

I forgot to post about it when I bought the 2nd Fairy Tail magazine(French edition). I found Kakihara Tetsuya’s point of view on the subject really interesting.

Kakky (Natsu’s va): What we can say about Fairy Tail is that there isn’t only one main character. They are all complex and deep. Any of them. The ones we can see here for example. (Fairy Tail 2014 promotionnal poster) Take them one by one and you’ll see. We could easily dedicate each one of them an arc.

Ryoko Ono: ( Mira’s va and presenter here ) Yeah, they all bring out something to the story. Each one of them with their backgrounds...

Kakky: They are all stars.

The only characters we haven’t seen the backgrounds yet in that poster are Gajeel and Juvia (Though Natsu’s a whole other case now). So I really hope Mashima goes this road one day! 

I really want to see Juvia’s background and if anything, we might see some Gajeel flashbacks if the Belno’s dead son thing isn’t a red-herring or something Mashima wouldn’t have the time to explore. (Judging Mashima’s preference in his writing that son’s most likely alive lol)
