Their cosmic space was...strangely quiet tonight. I mean, the realm outside of time and the known universe was never really noisy, but they enjoyed having some sort of music playing in their own little domicle.
The old gramophone, given a long time ago to them by a friend that was no longer with them, floated silently at their side.
Something didn't taste right.
Jestrix took a quick sip of their bubbly cup of cherry soda, the scoop of vanilla ice cream having already melted inside to a delicious cream. Sadly, the sugar did nothing to quell the sourness on their palate. If anything, it seemed to get worse. The entity let out a hack- it was so far away, but it was a despair so strong it felt like a thick, black sludge was trying to worm its way out of their chest and up their throat.
Goodness gracious! They had never tasted a sadness as strong as this before! Someone needed a friend, a smile. And they needed it badly.
Jestrix finished the soda pop- it would do no good to waste it -before setting the glass aside and manifesting their form through the delicate membrane of their pocket dimension. It was easy to teleport to where the sad one was. They stood out like a dark, smokey beacon for the draconic jester to find.
"Howdy doody!!!" They exclaimed loudly, appearing in a flurry of sparkles colorful confetti. "I'mma Jestrix! Your new best friend! What can I do to make you smile?"
