@thief-of-shadows
Godling had done his best to look nice for the occasion. His newest shoes, a button up shirt and sweater under his coat. He even braided his hair in an effort to look put together.
Picking up Thief while respecting his space wasn't easy. Usually he'd just pluck the person through the shadows, but here he had to once again be considerate. He stepped through the shadow himself to outside Thief's door and knocked. There, that should be enough. Everything had to go perfectly, he couldn't mess it up at the first hurdle.
The knock surprised him and he scrambled to the door because he was a little concerned that Necrofia may not appreciate them spending time together with their rocky past. "Just- Like. Text me next..." He examined Godling's clothes. Um. Did he think this was a date? Was it a date? Thief didn't fuss to dress particularly nice, so.
"...time. Well. Let's go, then."
"I don't have a phone. I broke my old one." He admitted, averting his eyes from the doorway. Thief seemed unhappy and he wasn't sure what part was the culprit.
"But I could .. tap you on the shoulder? Under your shirt. That would be discrete."
He smiled and offered his hand to take Thief with him through the shadows straight to the restaurant.
"Come on, I picked the best steak place I could find. You can get a steak bigger than your head."
"Oh. That's..." He laughed. "That's silly. How'd you break it, anyway?" Thief took his hand.
"You didn't have to pick such a fancy place for me. Uh. Let's not dine and dash this time, okay? I work in the food industry, so that's important to me."
Anyone who knew Godling well would have seen how he squirmed at the question, carefully not looking at Thief even while going theough the gentlemanly motion of guiding him through the shadows.
"Um.. I was angry with it so I put it in the ocean to die and it didn't work when I went and got it back. But it's fine! I don't need one. People can just pray to me when they need me so it wasn't useful anyway."
He did turn his eyes now to Thief, to check his reaction.
"Why wouldnt we go somewhere fancy? I want you to have the best. They have this one steak that has honey on it and its is so crackly. I get that a lot. I can pay them for it if that's what you want. I can get money."
He pushed the door open, and hoped that Thief would be pleased with him that he'd thought to make a reservation so they could be seated right away without having to do any threats.
