Shira and Ryou eating spicy food together and bonding over scaring underclassmen. Mochi and Carlos are both terrified and excited.
Meanwhile, Mochi and Carlos engage themselves in an intense conversation. They end up talking about Carlos' family in Brazil, and Carlos says that his family absolutely LOVES Shira, and Mochi is like "my mom prefers Ryou-san over me". They're having a great time.
They don't sense the looks his boyfriends are sending to them. I mean, think about it for a moment: Mochi and Carlos are HOT AS HELL. And together? They're practically sparkling.
Ryou and Shira are drooling like the thirsty lovestruck boys they really are.
It was a cold night out, as it was quiet and undisturbed. The people attending the winters’ ball hosted by the Kominatos dressed up in mostly long sleeved attire, knowing it was going to be a long and snowy night. It was private property but the social event had royalties arriving in carriages and stepping out in costly gowns, coats, cravats, and hats.
But Kuramochi Youichi was not one of those people, so he walked.
Perhaps it wasn’t as cold inside as it was outside, and the people who had extra layers removed some as the hundreds of candles that lit up the ballroom increased the thermal in the air. Other than candles, the large space was furnished in elegance, there were several long tables with dishes of both urban and rural styles, with clean silver platters with golden outlines and accents, reflecting the interior of the ballroom that had excessive royalty plastered on its façade.
Youichi walked in through the extravagant doors to be met by even more lavish displays. He took a quick look at the room and the people providing it when shortly after, he was greeted by his close friends, who he had first met in a bar, and the tense and focused aura of the immigrant has immediately shifted to loud and cheery as they started to converse.
Kominato Ryousuke was a child born of wealth, of royalty and of formality, he is the eldest Kominato brother, as well as the wittiest. He had a beautiful face and had a slender built. Thought he had always come across as intimidating, his sharp tongue had made potential spouses, in courtesy of his parents, hesitant . He knew what he deserves, which may have been the reason why he was drawn to becoming extremely picky and rambunctious when it came to courtship. A sublime sign of his recklessness and rebellious disposition, one Miyuki Kazuya said.
Speaking of the literal devil, as Ryousuke was discussing politely and cautiously to someone who had attempted to flirt with him, Kazuya approached the two, stating on how Ryousuke was doing his usual test on the courtier. Ryousuke gave him a smile, “Good evening, sir Miyuki,” Kazuya gave him a teasing wink, reminding the older Kominato that he’ll be back. Ryousuke resisted rolling his eyes, this always happens and there’s no reason to retort to the framed gentlemen any more.
Ryousuke’s eyes followed Kazuya as he walked, noticing that he was approaching quite a rackety group of men. These men greeted him loudly and although each had very distinct traits worth his attention, Ryousuke found himself enthralled to an individual of dark muddy green haired man with a handsome face, raucous mouth and haughty manner.
After seeing that he was finally left alone, Ryousuke was to approach the man, intent only to conduct small talk. It is only proper manner to be acquainted with the guests of his father’s event. Of course, he could not deny the slight interest that he had for the other, Ryousuke had to admit he was quite an attractive fellow. On his way he passed his younger brother, who was looking helpless. His hands were rubbing on the stem of his glass of wine, his eyes had a slight shine to it, and his feet never stayed stationary on the floor. He looked like he was waiting for someone. Ryousuke watched him for a while. When he chuckled, Haruichis fidgeting gaze landed on his brother. He smiled warmly and suddenly took his brothers wrist and whispered to him. Ryousuke laughed lightly, and waved his hand in dismissal as he walked towards Youichi. This gave him even more reason to approach the guy.
As Youichi took notice of him his dark eyes lit up in a conscientious way, and his hand slightly raised and ready to greet the Kominato with a kiss on his hand. When Ryousuke was in front of him, they greeted each other a good evening. Ryousuke took notice of his chapped lips, and his flirtish smirk as he landed a kiss of his hand.
“Hi,” Youichi said, with beaming eyes. Ryousuke made a sharp intake of air and he felt his chest burning red. In the back of his mind, he knew. But he chose to forget that for a moment. His heart was set aflame, every part of his body felt hot. He blamed it on the hundreds of candles lit for the party, and the overcrowding of people, but most of all, he blamed the tall man in front of him. This was the start of a game-changing moment for him.
