GESU NO KIWAMI OTOME - RYOUSEIBAI (2016)
In questo fermento spiccano i Gesu no Kiwami Otome.
At a whopping 17 tracks, s 両成敗 seems at first glance a big present for fans who went through last year with only a handful of singles to tide them over. On second glance, however, it appears simply to be a vehicle for those singles and a few new songs to justify the purchase of a full album. 両成敗 is an enigma of an album that appears to be merely a way to make money off of the band’s soaring popularity and a recent scandal, but is that all it is?
Stop When You're Full: Gesu no Kiwami Otome's Ryouseibai
Kawatani Enon is a beast of a guy. No, I'm not talking about his recent affair (I just had to put it out there), but rather his musical output in the last year alone. Between his other original band, Indigo la End, and his more popular one, Gesu no Kiwami Otome, he's is responsible (or at least partially responsible) for 5 singles (2 of them are double A sides) and one full-length album in 2015. Some of those singles was even released almost simultaneously. The guy just doesn't know how to stop.
For those who's familiar with the aforementioned feats, the fact that Gesu no Kiwami Otome's latest album, Ryouseibai, packed 17 tracks in it may come off as only a mild surprise. The album takes just a little bit above 100 minutes to listen, a really long one compared to their previous album that only clocked at around 40 minutes. The length of the album is the downfall of an otherwise stellar album, but we'll talk more about that later.
Hi all! Finally, here’s Ryouseibai de ii ja nai by Gesu no Kiwami Otome, hope you like it! The download link for the tab is in the video description. Next time will be the GazettE’s LUCY, as requested :3
Also, happy new year!
Thanks for watching~ /o/
Hi! Can you translate the title of the upcoming Gesu album? It's titled 両成敗 (Ryouseibai). Sadly, google translate was of no help on this one heh. Many thanks!
I actually did translate it (inconspicuously) on my Gesu discog page! 両成敗 means that both parties are equally guilty regardless as to who actually caused it to happen. you’ll often hear it in the phrase 喧嘩両成敗 (It takes two to fight = who cares who started it, you’re both in the wrong for fighting to begin with) so I translated it as “It Takes Two” to simplify it a bit ^^
