DISPATCH, 07.08.17: Everyone’s favorite variety show is back on the air for a new round of matchmaking: We Got Married! The task of hosting this event falls to Kaleidoscope Records. Kaleidoscope is bound to shake up the scene a little bit, so be sure to tune in for all-new changes, and all-new drama!
Idols will be taking a personality quiz and be paired up with people they are (or are not) compatible with. For the first week, couples will have no clue who their partner is; we will publish a hints sheet halfway through the first week for you to guess who your spouse is! Couples will be revealed at the end of the first week, which is where the fun begins.
Couples’ first task upon reveal will be to choose appropriate housing. From high-rise suites to white-fence neighborhoods, will your couple be able to agree? Prime’s founder, Kim Daehyun, will assess the prudence of the choices in terms of the event.
After they choose their house, they’ll begin to go domestic. The second task is to cook a dinner with a limited budget; Mirage’s CEO, Song Jisu, will taste test the food the couples make.
Their second challenge is to babysit! Couples will be assigned to various daycares around the Seoul area and be rated by BKB’s CEO, Bin Byeoungkeun, on how well they work together with children.
The fourth and final challenge is community service. Couples will each randomly draw a community service task and complete it to the best of their ability; Kaleidoscope CEO Choi Jisung will judge work ethic, cooperation, and completion of the task.
Each CEO will decide the winners of each task based on their own personal opinions, so be sure to appeal to each of them appropriately!
TO ENTER: Like this post to enter. Optionally, you can take this survey for an ideal matchup as well, but please be sure to like!
ADMIN NOTES: This event is approximately the same size as Train to Busan, if not the slightest bit larger. We will run this on a points system with the following prizes at the end: a launch into a SOLO CAREER for members of the couple, an opportunity for a VARIETY SHOW HOSTING DEBUT, or an ACTING CAREER DEBUT with five stars. If you don’t want any of these, you can receive a muse graphic or icon pack instead.
The points system will work in a way that gives points to couples and not individual muses. For example, if Muse A and Muse B are Couple 1, they will not receive points by themselves, but together.
There will be tasks assigned that each couple is to complete separately. If Muse A and Muse B complete the task, Couple 1 will earn points. If only one of the muses in the couple completes the task (say, only Muse A), then Couple 1 earns half points. The couple to have the most points at the end will both be rewarded with a prize.
Prompts will be released for low points that only one member of a couple needs to write, but both may earn points if they both decide to write something.
As the CEOs are judging, be sure that you and your partner put on the best performance to please them! Below is a schedule of the event; you can complete ANY TASK AT ANY TIME as long as it is before the end of the event.
IMPORTANT INFO: Please be sure to tag all threads or tasks with ryt:wgm so we can find them easily. Furthermore, we will be allowing same-sex couples for this event, as it will be difficult to match up couples accordingly.
JULY 8, 2017: The event officially begins! At this point, your muse has been approached by the company to enter, and matchups begin.
JULY 12, 2017: The last day to like this post. We will publish a hints sheet for couples to start guessing their partner: this can be cause for a lot of pointing-fingers drama as everyone tries to guess who their match is, so be sure to check it out!
JULY 15, 2017: Couples are officially announced, and the fun begins! The first large task will also be revealed by Prime’s CEO, Kim Daehyun, as couples are given a set amount of money to choose a house for the duration of the event, and be housed in separate rooms. Remember that you may choose to write anything we release at any time to earn points. Between this time and the end of the event, couples will
JULY 19, 2017: Task 2 will be released by Mirage’s Song Jisu: contestants will cook a meal together and live their domestic life.
JULY 22, 2017: Task 3 will be released by BKB’s Bin Byeoungkeun; together, the couples will take care of children at a daycare.
JULY 26, 2017: Task 4 will be released by Kaleidoscope’s Choi Jisung. Couples will work together to do community service events.
AUGUST 8, 2017: The event officially ends! Couples will be awarded their points and the top couple may choose their prize.
Hello, hello! Admin Elesa here with the promised sneak peek for our Train to Busan casting call, which we hope to release around Friday/Saturday! I’m also going to address a few questions that I’m sure many of you have.
Our casting call isn’t so much a “casting call” as it is an extended event. However, this will not be like the ryt:roe event in the sense that we may host smaller events (e.g. parties, debuts, etc.) during this time frame, and not everyone needs to participate if they do not want to. We do not want this event to be an overshadowing presence that makes you think this is all you can write; with how long the overall casting, filming, and promotional periods are, that would be rather hellish.
Instead, we hope to provide Train to Busan as an opportunity to expand your muse’s resume and help you with plotting with muses from other companies, and hope you utilize it in that way instead of feeling pressured to make your threads revolve around it.
Although BKB will be officially hosting the casting call, all members are welcome to participate. We chose to host under BKB instead of RHYTHMS for the dilemma your muse will face and possibly grapple with throughout: will BKB be trustworthy enough over the course of shooting and promotions to sign a temporary contract? will the broadened portfolio be worth working for a company as underhanded as theirs, even if it’s only over a month?
You’re welcome to write headcanons or threads over this impasse; we’d love to see them!
Train to Busan will be written over the course of a little under one month, each with different time frames (which I will here call “rounds” for the sake of clarity). The rounds are specified below, but essentially, these rounds are one to two week consecutive periods where you can begin any thread relating to what those rounds are centered about (in the filming round, you can begin writing any threads on-set, in the BKB luxury trailerhomes, getting makeup on for filming, etc.); we won’t be strict on when you end those threads, just as long as you start them within the timeframes set.
To enter, you may like the official casting post which we will upload. (This one is not the official call.) You may reblog as well, which will count as a separate entry. You may do these on all and any muses you have, though only one will be allowed to participate as a named character, since there is a limited number of slots (those who do not make a named character will be listed as a cameo and still be allowed to participate in the event). We will choose by random generator; you will be logged into the generator for any roles your muse is eligible for. If you would like a specific character, you may message the main blog, which will count as a third entry for that character only, but will not guarantee that you receive that character for the official casting.
Below is the rough itinerary we have planned; if you have any further questions, feel free to message us. I hope all of you are as excited about this event as I am, and I can’t wait to get the official casting call out and get this party started!
ITINERARY:
ROUND ONE (04/14/17 - 04/19/17): Casting announced. Your muse, if named, will officially sign a non-exclusive BKB contract and pack and prepare for shooting, during which time period they will live temporarily in luxury BKB trailers to shoot on-location. Table reads and cast bonding activities will take place during this time period.
ROUND TWO (04/20/17 - 05/01/17): Filming officially begins! Cameo roles will also be filmed during this time period, although cameos will not be required to live under BKB conditions. Cast members are expected to have lines memorized and arrive on time for makeup. Meals will be provided.
ROUND THREE (05/02/17 - 05/12/17): Filming ends, and named members will begin promotions! During this period, they will attend interviews, galas, and panels to answer questions about the films. They will also have a variety show appearance on the one-night special, Mirage Fame Feature: Train to Busan Edition, hosted by Mirage Host 1. Stylists will be appointed. Cast members are expected to carry themselves with grace and eloquence to represent BKB well.
OPENING NIGHT (05/13/17): The premiere of Train to Busan will be held at RHYTHMS Spotlight Hall, an all-purpose arena built for RHYTHMS Multimedia Conglomerate, complete with stages and theatres. All cast and crew, including cameos, are invited. Cast members will answer interviewers on-carpet and find their assigned seats in Theatre 1 to view the film for the first time, then attend a panel to answer questions afterwards. BKB will host an afterparty in their main lobby, which will mark the end of the Train to Busan period: members may add Train to Busan, along with their role, onto their resume.
DISPATCH, 04/01/17: Seventeen years ago today, RHYTHMS multimedia conglomerate opened and signed on its first company. Today, the group is celebrating its longevity and success with a special stage and an afterparty! Dispatch reports from RHYTHMS’ official website state that performers will include AEON with “Oh Na Na,” G-ZER0 with “Not Today,” Bliss with “Knock Knock,” and as a special reminiscent piece, silverBEAT to finish the stage with their debut song, “Gee.” The hottest stars will join together afterward for a special party to mingle and relax. Don’t miss out on RHYTHMS: Opening Event, beginning April 1st!
WHAT IS IT?
RHYTHMS: Opening Event is, as the name suggests, an event that the admins have created to celebrate our full official opening! The premise is the anniversary of the RHYTHMS company, which in the storyline opened April 1st, 2000; to celebrate, they are hosting a special stage and a party afterward. Interact with your favorite fellow performers and meet your biggest role models from any group, any company at this event!
WHEN IS IT?
Members may begin writing threads 12:00 AM EST on April 1st, 2017. The event lasts until 11:59 PM EST on April 8th, 2017. We ask at this time, members begin to wrap up their threads, or at least do not begin writing any new ones.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Any member of RHYTHMSkrp!
WHAT CAN BE WRITTEN?
You may write any thread from (within the rp timeline) the day of the event. This means you can write your group getting ready for it, the actual performance, the party, or your group after the party. This does not mean that you must put all other threads on hold; however, threads involving any of the above will be considered as threads for the event.
WHAT SHOULD WE TAG IT AS?
Please tag all threads with ryt:roe. Open starters should be tagged as ryt:roestarter. We encourage members to write open starters to get the ball rolling, and begin plotting!
