Tagging: Ryder Lynn and Santana Lopez
Where: The apartment
When: 7th May
Notes: Santana decides to clean their room up and comes across some old mementos.
Santana sat in the middle of the walk in wardrobe she and Ryder shared with her legs crossed as she began going through the few boxes she had stashed away from her old apartment when they had moved into their current home. With Joshua at Quinn and Sam's place for the night, the blonde had been wanting a night with her godson for a while now, Santana had decided it was the perfect time for a little Spring Cleaning. Their apartment wasn't big enough for all the junk they, mostly Santana, kept in their wardrobe so it was time for a change. Throwing a few things to the side which she would donate, the brunette couldn't stop the smile that graced her lips when she came across her 'Ryder Box' that she had made sure to keep even years after their break-up. She remembered packing it when they moved into this apartment but beginning heavily pregnant and tired, Santana hadn't paid it much attention. Actually, she had forgotten all about it completely. Biting down on her bottom lip as she opened it, the Latina smiled when the first thing she saw was Ryder's old football jersey neatly folded.
Ryder was still getting used to the idea of Santana being friends with Quinn again, not that he minded since the blonde had voluntarily taken Josh for the night. But instead of wanting to relax on the couch with him, Santana had apparently decided that she wanted to clean their apartment with her child-free time. It wasn't like it didn't need it though, he liked to think it was all Santana with her extensive wardrobe with more clothes than she could ever need, but there was a lot of his crap too. They'd made a start on some of the wardrobe before he'd decided to go get a drink from the kitchen. He grabbed two beers from the fridge, opening them both before heading back to their wardrobe. "Is that what I think it is?" He asked, stood in the doorway as he noticed his jersey in the box Santana had open in front of her. He walked back in, sitting down opposite her and offering one of the beers to her as he took a swig from the other.
Santana looked up from her spot on the floor when she heard the sound of her fiancé's voice. Accepting the beer, she opened it before taking a quick mouthful. "Yeah it is." She replied, placing the bottle on the floor in a place that it wouldn't be knocked over. "It's my Ryder Box." She laughed, handing Ryder his old jersey as she continued to go through it. "I kept everything worth keeping the first time we dated." She explained softly. "From photos to a coaster from the bar I got you drunk at for the first time."
Ryder "Your Ryder Box?" He repeated, raising an eyebrow at her. He took his jersey from her, running his hand over the fabric. He'd loved being on the Titans and being able to wear the jersey in his hands was definitely the thing that had saved him in high school. Without football, he would have just given up on his grades entirely and probably become a social recluse who was too scared to even talk to girls. "Oh my god, are you serious?" He laughed, leaning over to look at the things Santana had stored away. "You're even soppier than I thought you were." He teased, taking another sip of his beer.
Santana narrowed her eyes at Ryder. "Tornillo te." She muttered, ignoring the smile on his lips. "I never did that shit with anyone else." She felt the need to say. "You lived so fucking far away... I wanted something that reminded me of you at all times." She added before locking eyes with him. "Besides, you can't tell me you never kept anything of mine. I know for a fact the naked photos I sent you would have made an appearance once or twice."
Ryder laughed as she narrowed her eyes at him, and he just gave her a playful smile. His smile became softer as she spoke, knowing how it was just another example of how much he'd meant to her and the feeling had been very mutual. "So far away... too far away." He nodded in agreement. The distance had sucked majorly for them, but being together hundreds of miles apart was still better than not being together at all. "Well I'm not gonna deny that." He laughed as she mentioned her naked photos. "Best photos I've ever been sent, hands down."
Santana "Damn fucking right they're the best photos you've ever been sent." She replied with a laugh, reaching for her beer and taking a few mouthfuls. "Besides look how cute we look." She added, picking up one of the many photos she had kept of the couple and handed it to Ryder. "I'm pretty sure we were drunk." She laughed.
Ryder "See I hope you appreciated my photos just as much." He joked, taking the photo from her. He smiled as he looked down at it, they looked so young and innocent - with no idea what the future held for them. "Probably. You were a terrible influence on me, getting me drunk all the time and getting me to have sex. Just terrible." He laughed. "Can you imagine what we would have said if the person taking this photo would have told us we'd be here now? Living together in an awesome Manhattan apartment, engaged and already killin' it at the parenting game?"
Santana offered Ryder a smirk. "You loved it. Teaching you sex was the best thing I've ever done and I know you appreciated it." She replied before her smirk softened into a smile. "I wouldn't have believed them but I would have hoped like fuck that person was telling us the truth. I wanted you to be my happily ever after... Even before I worked out I deserved one just as much as any other girl." She admitted honestly.
Ryder "Of course I loved it." He laughed, nodding in agreement with her. "I'd have been crazy not to enjoy it or appreciate it." He shrugged, his own soft smile playing on his lips. "Yeah that sounds about right, and you deserve the world Lopez - I'm glad you're starting to see that now." He replied sincerely, knowing she'd never really believed she could be happy before. "And it's so crazy to think that I came to New York to spend a few weeks out of Lima. I just thought I'd be crashing on your couch and that would be it. I don't think I ever even dreamed that we'd kiss, let alone end up here. I definitely wasn't expecting that." He added, jokingly referencing his own song. "So, what else do you have in your Ryder box?" He asked, putting the photo in his hand down.
Santana laughed. "You are so fucking corny." She told him before leaning forward to press a quick kiss to Ryder's lips. "I'm glad I told you to kiss me. Best decision ever." She added before she continued going through the box. "I printed out a few emails you sent me. The important ones." She announced, picking up the pieces of paper before handing them to her fiancé. Handing Ryder a few more photos, the Latina bit down on her bottom lip as her eyes landed on a sheet of paper that had the words 'The Ryder Song' jotted down messily as a title. "Oh wow." She whispered, her eyes widening slightly before she took out the slightly crumbled piece of paper. "I completely forgot about this."
Ryder rolled his eyes at her corny comment. "It's called being romantic, San." He replied with a jokingly serious tone, kissing her back as her lips met his. He took the emails from her, beginning to read through some of them. "God my spelling was even worse back then." He laughed as he read about his old high school problems and how they seemed so insignificant now. "What did you forget about?" He asked, looking up at her as she spoke.
Santana shook her head. "You were trying and I know writing to me helped, even if only a little." She replied, defending him from his own words. "A song." She added after a moment. "I wrote it six months or so after we broke up. Tom tagged you in a photo on Facebook with a Cheerio at a party. You weren't kissing or anything but she was hugging you and I just... It made me realize what I had lost." She admitted quietly.
Ryder smiled at just how quick Santana was to defend him, even if he had meant it an observational way rather than a self-deprecating one. "Oh..." He murmured, thinking back to exactly how it felt in those months after the break up. He didn't remember the photo in question but then he had been to a fair few parties in his senior year, trying to get drunk and forget about how lonely he was without Santana. "I see... can I read it? Or hear it?" He asked softly. "And you can say no." He added, knowing stuff like that could be pretty personal.
Santana focused back on the piece of paper at Ryder's question and after a moment, she nodded. "I'll sing it." She whispered, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear as she tried to remember the melody.
I miss your soft lips, I miss your white sheets
I miss the scratch of your unshaved face on my cheek
And this is so hard 'cause I didn't see
That you were the love of my life and it kills me
I see your face in strangers on the street
I still say your name when I'm talking in my sleep
And in the limelight, I play it off fine
But I can't handle it when I turn off my night light
But I can't handle it when I turn off my night light
They say that true love hurts, well this could almost kill me
Young love murder, that is what this must be
I would give it all to not be sleeping alone
Alone
The life is fading from me while you watch my heart bleed
Young love murder, that is what this must be
I would give it all to not be sleeping alone
Alone
Ryder smiled softly as she agreed to sing it for him. He took a sip of his beer before putting it down as he listened to Santana start to sing, the lyrics resonating with him immediately.
Santana moved her eyes to focus on Ryder's before offering him a small smile.
Remember the time we jumped the fence when
The Stones were playing and we were too broke to get in
You held my hand and they made me cry while
I swore to God it was the best night of my life
Or when you took me across the world
We promised that this would last forever but now I see
It was my past life, a beautiful time
Drunk off of nothing but each other 'til the sunrise
Drunk off of nothing but each other 'til the sunrise
They say that true love hurts, well this could almost kill me
Young love murder, that is what this must be
I would give it all to not be sleeping alone
Alone
The life is fading from me while you watch my heart bleed
Young love murder, that is what this must be
I would give it all to not be sleeping alone
Alone
Ryder smiled back at her, listening to her lyrics as she continued to sing her song for him.
Santana
It was a past life, a beautiful time
Drunk off of nothing but each other 'til the sunrise
They say that true love hurts, well this could almost kill me
Young love murder, that is what this must be
I would give it all to not be sleeping alone
Alone
The life is fading from me while you watch my heart bleed
Young love murder, that is what this must be
I would give it all to not be sleeping alone
Alone
Ryder listened to her lyrics, looking down at the photos in front of him and all the memories from their past and he couldn't help but smile softly to himself about how far they'd come.
Santana placed the piece of paper back in the box and let out a small humorless laugh. "I was so sad when I wrote that." She admitted softly. "But it's kind of awesome how far we've come."
Ryder "I was so sad when you wrote that too. I may have been hugging Cheerios but I was lonely without you." He confessed. "It really is, I can't believe we get to spend the rest of our lives together, we never have to be that sad again." He smiled. "And your song was awesome, by the way."
Santana smiled softly. "It's just for us... I'll never release it." She admitted after a moment. Pushing the box to the side, the brunette moved to straddle Ryder's lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I didn't really even date after you." She told him. "I focused on earning money and becoming a singer. When I saw you in that bar my heart skipped a beat. We always said you might see one another again and I just... I was hopeful, even if you were waiting for a date."
Ryder "Got it." He murmured, not that he minded either way. It was Santana's song and she could do what she liked with it. He smiled, moving his beer bottle of the way as she moved to straddle his lap. He wrapped his arms loosely around her waist, leaning forward to press a quick kiss to her lips. "I had a few things with girls here and there, but nothing was ever serious. I was just trying to move on from you and I think I convinced myself I had but I never really got over you." He shrugged. "And yeah, even if I was waiting for a date, I'm glad we ran into each other again."
Santana ran her fingertips along Ryder's biceps. "I noticed your arms straight away." She grinned, not being able to stop the laugh from escaping her lips. "And how manly you looked. Not that you didn't the first time around it was just... Different."
Ryder laughed, he knew how much Santana liked his arms and they had got a lot bigger and more defined in the five years that they were apart. "Well I guess puberty finished and I wasn't a kid anymore." He shrugged. "I mean I can grow facial hair now for starters." He added. "And the Bieber cut didn't help either." He chuckled.
Santana ran her fingers through his hair. "I liked the haircut." She told him softly before she moved her hands to cup his face. "Lots to grip onto when you were between my legs." She added with a smirk before she glanced at her ring. "I still can't believe we're getting married."
Ryder "Well do you want me to grow the Bieber hair back?" He asked teasingly, even if he knew Santana loved his shorter hair too. He followed her eyes to her ring, smiling softly. "Me neither, I'm just so happy you said yes." He murmured. "We've come so far from those first makeouts on your couch... and now we're gonna spend the rest of our lives together. It's actually crazy."
Santana shook her head. "No, this look is more 23 year old Ryder and he's pretty great." She replied before smiling. "I know... It's crazy how far we're come."
Ryder "Thanks, 25 year old you is pretty great too." He murmured. "For real... I love you so much San, thank you for being you." He added, looking around at the photos scattered around them on the floor. "We've had some pretty great times and I can't wait to have a lifetime more with you."
Santana scrunched her face up. "God I'm so old." She laughed, glancing at the photos that Ryder had placed next to them. "I can't wait either. I'm so fucking excited to become a Lynn even if it's the whitest last name ever." She teased.
Ryder laughed. "You say that now but how about when we're both 50 odd? Then we'll be old." He teased. "And Josh will be... god he'll be 28." He murmured, slightly thrown by the idea of their baby being all grown up. "Shut up, I am white in case you hadn't noticed." He laughed.
Santana shook her head at the idea of Josh being 28. "He'll be completely grown up. Graduated from college and he'll probably live states away from us to try and escape his Latina mom." She laughed. "Oh I've noticed but you are half Cuban which means you aren't the whitest guy I could be getting married to."
Ryder laughed softly. "Probably, although 28... he may have kids himself. We might be grandparents." He murmured, the idea being pretty surreal to him. "That's very true." He chuckled. "And at least I don't have a last name like Smith or Jones or something. So it definitely could be worse."
Santana frowned at the idea of someone calling her Abuela. "Fuck that. He can be 30 with his shit together before he has a baby. We got lucky and things worked out but it might not be the same for him." She replied before adding. "Plus I'll be too young to be someone's grandmother."
Ryder laughed at the look on Santana's face, her clearly finding it just as weird as he did. "I mean it's his life, if it worked out for us then it could work out for him." He shrugged. "But this is all hypothetical and we gotta get him through school and college without scarring him for life first." He teased. "So we really shouldn't get ahead of ourselves too much."
Santana hummed in agreement. "I'll try." She laughed before smiling at the thought of their son. "He's so cute." She added randomly. "He's walking and his speech is improving every day. He's just perfect."
Ryder loved that the two of them were sat on the floor of their wardrobe, Santana still straddling his lap while they just had a casual conversation going. Everything just felt so natural and comfortable with her. "He really is." He agreed. "It's so exciting that we'll be able to have actual conversations with him soon."
Santana "I'm just happy he can finally say mom." She admitted. "I'll probably cry when he says I love you for the first time though. I want him to say it so badly."
Ryder "See now I'm just offended because you didn't cry when I said I loved you for the first time." He joked. "He'll say it soon enough, and you know he loves you already even if he can't say it yet." He added with a shrug.
Santana pressed a kiss to his lips before running the pads of her thumbs against his jawline. "I said it first if I remember correctly and I wasn't going to cry because you needed me to be strong." She replied softly, remembering what had prompted her first 'I love you'.
Ryder kissed her back, smiling against her lips. "You did say it first." He nodded. "Although I think I was already crying, or on the verge of it anyway." He chuckled. "And you were just awesome with me, I'll always be grateful for that."
Santana kissed him softly a few more times. "I just wanted you to know that I would love you no matter what. Even the parts that left you with scars and you did the same in return."
Ryder couldn't help but laugh to himself. "Sorry, I just can't believe we're having this conversation sat on the floor of our closet." He chuckled. "But I'm glad I could do the same for you, you're my everything Lopez."
Santana laughed in return before she moved herself off of Ryder's lap and began packing away her Ryder Box. "We're not a very traditional couple so it's fine." She replied with a laugh,
Ryder watched as she began to pack up her box, picking up his beer and taking a swig. "I wouldn't change what we have for anything... so if we're not traditional then that's fine by me. Traditional's probably boring anyway."
Santana placed the lid on the box before picking it up. Standing to her feet, she moved it to a higher shelf so Joshua wouldn't come in and destroy it should he manage to get into their wardrobe. "Traditional fucking sucks." She replied confidently before picking up her beer and draining the majority of it in one go. "You know we have the apartment to ourselves for the night and the majority of the cleaning is done. Maybe we could make a kickass dinner and watch a movie?"
Ryder followed Santana's lead, standing up off the floor and watching as she put the box back on the shelf. "Well dinner and a movie does sound better than cleaning." He laughed. "But yeah, sounds great to me." He smiled.
Tagging: Ryder Lynn, Santana Lopez and Josh Lynn
When: February-ish?
Where: The apartment
Notes: Josh takes his first steps alone in front of both his parents.
Santana was sitting on the floor her legs crossed and her back leaning against the couch as she watched Joshua standing, gripping onto the coffee table for balance. Their son had been crawling for months and had started standing on his feet more confidently over the past three weeks. All the baby websites had indicated that this was a strong sign their son was about to walk. "Come on Little Man." She announced, smiling as Josh locked eyes with him mother and laughed. "Babe he's standing again... and rocking. Get out here." She called for Ryder, hoping today would be the day.
Ryder was getting himself a cup of coffee in the kitchen when he heard Santana calling for him. He tossed the spoon in the sink to deal with later before heading into the lounge. He smiled when he saw Josh standing, taking a seat on the armchair as he watched his son balancing on his own two feet. It was crazy that they were at this point already, it only felt like yesterday he was born. He noticed Josh looking round at him, and Ryder nodded his head towards Santana. "Go on... go see mommy. You can do it dude." He smiled, taking a sip of his coffee as Josh did in fact look back at Santana.
Santana clapped her hands in an effort to encourage Joshua towards her. "Come on Josh, come to mommy." She grinned, her eyes meeting Ryder's briefly as their son wobbled and turned to face Santana. Focusing her attention back on Josh, the Latina clapped her hands a few more times. "Get your phone." She whispered, wanting this moment recorded so they could show their family and friends.
Ryder put his coffee down on the coffee table, far away from where Josh was gripping it before sliding his phone out of his pocket. He already had a several failed videos on his phone from where they thought it was going to happen but never did, although they were still adorable videos regardless. He unlocked it, opening the camera app before hitting the record button and focusing it on where Josh was still stood.
Santana smiled at her son, trying to encourage him. "Vamos, puedes hacerlo." She told him, her eyes widening when Josh took a step towards Santana even though his hands were still gripping the table. "Let go baby, you can do this. Come to mommy." She encouraged, her smile widening as Josh listened and let go of his support.
Ryder smiled as he watched Josh let go of the table, but also as he saw the look on Santana's face. She just looked so happy and it was infectious as the smile easily spread to his own face. He kept quiet, not wanting to distract Josh since he figured that he'd fall if he tried to turn round and look at Ryder now. So he just kept the camera on Josh, waiting to see if he'd make it to Santana.
Santana didn't tear her eyes from Josh and as her son made his way towards his mom, she had to stop herself from leaning forward when he fell on to his bottom. "Come on Josh!" She encouraged, wanting her son to stand up and keep trying. Watching him get back on his feet, the Latina couldn't stop the proud smile that graced her lips as he continued to walk towards his mom. Wrapping her arms around Josh when he was within reaching distance, the brunette showered his face with kisses. "You did it!" She celebrated, tickling him slightly as their son's giggles filled the room.
Ryder smiled as he watched the interaction in front of him, Josh falling like he always did when he tried to walk on his own. But instead this time, he managed to get himself back up before walking the rest of the way to Santana. "Nice one Josh!" He grinned, loving the sound of Josh's laugh. He moved himself off the chair, sliding onto the floor with his back up against the chair. "Now can he make it to daddy?" He asked, keeping his camera recording just in case.
Santana pressed one last kiss to Josh's forehead before turning him around and steadying him. "Go to daddy." She whispered, smiling as her son began making his way towards Ryder.
Ryder watched Santana steady Josh before he began to wobble towards him. "Come on dude." He grinned, keeping his camera on Josh with one hand as the other reached out towards Josh.
Santana couldn't stop herself from smiling as she watch Josh make his way towards his father. "He's walking." She grinned, her eyes meeting Ryder's briefly. "About time Little Man." She added.
Ryder "He's walking...." He repeated after Santana, looking up at her with a grin on his face. "He's growing up so fast." He smiled, putting his phone down so he could wrap both his arms around Josh when he made it to his dad. "Aren't you Josh?" He chuckled, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
Santana moved from her spot in order to be closer to her boys. Running her fingers through Joshua's hair, the brunette pressed a kiss to his temple before offering Ryder a smile. "He's growing up so quick."
Ryder "He really is." He nodded, standing Josh on his feet again between him and Santana. "He'll be going off to school before we know it."
Santana scrunched up her face. "He's going to be my baby forever." She replied, pressing another kiss to Josh's temple as their son smiled at his parents.
Ryder "Yeah, tell me about it." He chuckled, smiling back at Josh. "I don't think he'll appreciate us calling him our baby forever though."
Santana shrugged. "I don't care." She replied before biting down on her bottom lip. "At least he has two parents who still want him to be their baby."
Ryder smiled, humming in agreement with Santana. "That he does... and he always will have that. That's never gonna change."

When: March sometime?
Where: The apartment
Notes: The couple discuss their upcoming wedding and make a few important decisions.
Ryder was relaxing in bed after a long day of running around after Josh and trying to fit in some time to sit down and write too. It was exhausting and the fact that he and Santana were getting married in about five months only added to the list of stuff they had to do. Deciding he wasn't tired enough to sleep just yet, he got up and found his laptop before returning to the bed. He opened it up, looking up wedding planning and exactly how much they had to do in such a short amount of time. It was a lot, even with a wedding planner. Before he knew it, he found himself looking at wedding venue websites and smiling as he imagined him marrying Santana in each of them.
Santana stepped out of the bathroom having just showered and brushed her teeth for bed. Making her way into the bedroom she and Ryder shared, the brunette smiled at her husband-to-be and joined him in their bed. "What are you looking at?" She asked softly, moving closer to Ryder and smiled when she saw what was on the computer screen.
Ryder turned his laptop so that the both of them could see it, showing her what was on the screen. "Figured I'd get a headstart on looking at this stuff but it's just making me more excited right now." He smiled, clicking through to pictures of another venue. "I mean we don't even have a date yet but it doesn't hurt to look, right?"
Santana loved how excited Ryder was to marry her. "I've been looking a little too... During my down time, my phone seems to have quite a few tabs open." She admitted quietly. "Well we're both awake and you have a few websites up... Maybe we could plan a little bit now?"
Ryder smiled, turning his head to press a kiss against her cheek at her admission. "Sounds like a good idea to me." He nodded, flicking his eyes back to the screen in front of him. "So where do you want to start?"
Santana bit down on her bottom lip. "Probably a date... So we can go through and narrow down a place that we want and that's available. We can't really do any planning until we know when to plan for."
Ryder "Okay a date sounds good." He nodded, opening up the calendar app on his laptop. "So... when were you thinking? And when are you getting back from tour?"
Santana ran her fingers through her hair. "I leave early June and I come back late August... So we'll have to get married after that. Maybe September or October?"
Ryder nodded, flicking through the calendar until he was on September. "Well either of those works for me. But I know you wanted a summer wedding and if we do early September then it'll be the end of summer but still summer. Do you think that's enough time to get everything sorted?"
Santana smiled softly and kissed him gently. "I can't believe you remembered that." She admitted before shaking her head. "I should have known." Santana added before smiling. "That sounds really great... We can make it work. We'll hire a wedding planner and just make sure we make the time to plan."
Ryder "What can I say? I remember the important things." He joked. "Sounds good to me." He smiled, nodding at her suggestion. "Okay next is probably day of the week... do you want to get married during the week or at a weekend? Then do we go Saturday or Sunday?"
Santana raised an eyebrow. "We aren't getting married on a weekday... Saturday has to be the day. So people can be hungover on Sunday and not have work." She laughed.
Ryder "Okay... no weekday." He laughed as he saw the look on Santana's face and her raised eyebrow. "Saturday works for me. How about the first Saturday in September? That makes it... the 3rd?" He suggested, looking at the calendar open in front of him.
Santana thought over the date and nodded her head. "The 3rd sounds like our day." She replied softly, pressing a kiss to his jawline. "We have a date." She whispered, an excited smile gracing her lips. "We should work out where we'll be getting married next."
Ryder smiled as he felt her lips against his skin, happily clicking on the 3rd September in his calendar. "We have a date." He repeated excitedly, typing in 'Get married, best day ever!!!' before saving it. "That makes sense. Where were you thinking for place? Like do you wanna do it here in New York, or we could go back to Lima or even go somewhere entirely new like a beach in Hawaii?"
Santana bit down on her bottom lip. "I think we should keep it either here or in Lima so our loved ones won't have to pay a lot of money to get to the venue." She replied after thinking it through. "We have a lot of memories here but we also have a lot in Lima so this may be harder than picking the actual date." She added.
Ryder "That sounds good to me." He nodded, happy to have it somewhere that meant something to them anyway. "You have a point there." He chuckled, thinking it over. "I mean New York is really where we met and started off obviously but then we both came from McKinley and McKinley is why we knew each other in the first place. Plus you came to visit me as much as I visited you before the break up so it really could be either... I guess we could always look at possible venues for both and then see if any grab our attention?”
Santana smiled softly. "Do you remember when you realized you loved me?" She asked quietly. "I mean... I know I said it when we were in New York after you told me everything but do you remember when you fell in love with me?" She asked before adding. "Because I do. Maybe that's the place we should get married?"
Ryder thought over her question. It was hard to say where he fell in love with her when they spent their relationship zig-zagging between Lima and New York but the moment where he realised he was in love with her was probably easier to pinpoint. "December, junior year." He replied after a moment. "You came back to Lima to visit me and I don't think I stopped smiling the whole time, and it wasn't just because Christmas was coming up." He added jokingly.
Santana smiled softly at the memory and pressed a quick kiss to his lips. "I realized I loved you in Lima too." She admitted softly. "I had managed to get three days off work and when I told you, you convinced me to fly to Lima. Even though I had spent my entire life trying to escape that place and had built a support network in New York, the second I saw you at the airport I felt like I was home. Not because of anything else Lima has to offer but because I felt like I was home whenever I was with you. I realized that has to be love, right?"
Ryder couldn't help the smile on his face, if only 16 year old Ryder could hear the words Santana was saying now. "Right..." He nodded before leaning in to kiss her again, deepening the kiss a little this time. "You felt like home to me too, and still do now." He smiled. "I guess we're getting married in Lima then."
Santana gently cupped Ryder's face with her left hand, the band of her engagement ring pressing against his cheek. "The feeling never went away. It's only gotten stronger since we had Josh." She added softly, smiling at his statement. "I guess we are. Now if only planning a wedding would be this easy, we'd be able to get things done tonight." She laughed.
Ryder "For real, I feel that." He nodded, humming in agreement. "We're a family and I love that." He smiled. "Well we're on a role, so is there anything else we can decide tonight?" He asked. "I'm gonna throw a big one out there... first dance song?" It was the first thing that came to mind when he tried to think of more wedding things they could decide on. "Or do we need to come back to that one?"
Santana laughed softly at his question. "I almost want to suggest the song you wrote that we'll be singing but who dances to their own song at their wedding?" She laughed. "I haven't thought about it much... Have you?"
Ryder laughed at the idea of dancing to his own song at their wedding. "Well most people aren't that talented to have the option but no, we're not dancing to that song." He chuckled. "I've thought about it a little... or really I just heard a song the other day and thought it'd be an awesome wedding song. Whether it's a first dance song or a second or third dance song is debatable."
Santana "What is it?" She asked, generally curious about the song that had prompted Ryder to think it could be good enough for their first dance. "You have really great music taste so I'll probably love it."
Ryder "Well I was thinking about using that watch me whip, watch me nae nae song... except we could totally change the words to 'me' to 'us' to make it more wedding-y." He replied, just about managing to keep a straight face before laughing himself at the mental image of him and Santana doing that dance in front of all their friends and family in their wedding dress and tux. "But for real, it's called Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran."
Santana shook her head and gently pushed at his chest. "So wrong." She laughed, before smiling at the mention of the actual song. "I've heard that song and it's amazing. I wouldn't mind my first dance as a Lynn to be that song."
Ryder laughed as she pushed at his chest, giving her a playful smile. "Oh really? That's awesome. I mean we can always just keep brainstorming as we go along but for now, we really are on a roll." He grinned.
Santana hummed in agreement. "We are but we're forgetting the most important thing... What lingerie I should wear underneath my wedding dress. I heard that's the most important part."
Ryder smirked at her question, shrugging his shoulders. "I don't know... I mean, you're smokin' hot in every piece of lingerie I've ever seen you in so really you could wear anything you wanted."
Santana smirked. "I was thinking about going with a lacy, white set. Virginal and pure and bridal, even if I'm only one of those things." She laughed.
Ryder laughed, letting his eyes run over her clothed body as he imagined her in nothing but lacy white underwear. "Well you can at least act it, right? No one is gonna call you out for being a fraud." He joked.
Santana raised an eyebrow. "Who is everyone? The only person who will see it will be you." She replied. "And I doubt you'll call me out for being a fraud since I have the ability to drive you insane with all the things that make me corrupt."
Ryder "Very true." He laughed. "I really wouldn't anyway... I'd be too distracted by how sexy you were looking to think about stuff like that."
Santana hummed. "That's very true. Kind of how I feel whenever you wear a shirt without sleeves." She laughed, running her fingers through her hair.
Ryder chuckled, knowing how much Santana loved his arms. "Well maybe I need to invest in some more vest tops then, with summer coming up and all." He teased, flexing one of his arms.
Santana glanced at the way Ryder was flexing one of his arms before shaking her head. "Don't be mean." She told him softly. "Unless you're planning on fucking me against the wall tonight, don't do that." She added with a playful groan.
Ryder laughed, dropping his arm back down to his side. "I can do that... I'll fuck you anyway you want me to." He shrugged, leaning in to press a kiss to her lips. "That goes for our wedding night too."
Santana kissed Ryder back and smiled against his lips. "I love that we can say that... Wedding night." She admitted quietly. "Thank you for asking me to marry you." She added, laughing softly. "I'm so fucking excited."
Ryder "I know right... our wedding night... the night of our wedding." He repeated, chuckling softly. "They all sound so great. You're thanking me?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her. "In that case, thank you for saying yes. Oh I am too, it's gonna be awesome."
Santana moved the laptop from his lap and closed the lid. Placing it on her bedside table, the brunette straddled Ryder's lap before wrapping her arms around his neck. "Before you, I never even wanted to get married." She admitted. "My parents had such a shitty marriage and I didn't think there was any other kind... You changed that."
Ryder watched as she took the laptop from him and moved it to the side. He smiled as she straddled his lap, resting his hands against her thighs. "Well I'm glad you came around to it, although I would have also happily spent the rest of my life with you without marrying you." He shrugged. "I never thought I'd find anyone as good for me as you, that anyone would even want to spend their life with me. But I'm glad you do."
Santana smiled softly. "I know." She replied honestly. "We could have just been boyfriend and girlfriend for the rest of our lives and that would have been enough." She told him softly. "You are delusional if you don't think you're a fucking catch. You are the best person I know."
Ryder "For real." He agreed. "Well when I met you, I was just a guy who was failing his classes, couldn't let a girl touch him and the only thing going for him was being semi-good at football and telling lame jokes." He shrugged. "So no, I didn't think I'd ever end up with someone like you."
Santana cupped Ryder's face and ran the pads of her thumbs against his jawline. "Your jokes aren't lame." She replied softly, smiling a small smile. "I knew you were someone special because I waited to have sex with you... Even before I found out about your issues. I just... making out was enough because I was spending time with you."
Ryder "Yes they are and I'm fine with it." He chuckled, smiling softly as he thought about what she was telling him. "I didn't tell you about those because I was terrified you were gonna leave me but I'd have totally told you sooner if I'd known that we'd end up here. But yes, all those make out sessions were awesome... even if it was pretty hard to not let myself get... hard or too carried away." He joked.
Santana pressed a soft kiss to his lips. "I know the feeling. I used to get really turned on, it was hard to not grind up on you while we were making out." She admitted with a laugh. "Remember when joined me in the shower for the first time?" She asked softly. "I was proud of you. Honoured that you had chosen me to do all these firsts with."
Ryder smiled against her lips when she kissed him. "I mean 8 months of just making out and nothing else... I don't think I could do that again." He laughed. "I do remember that." He nodded, smiling at the memory. "Although the first time we actually had sex in the shower may have been better." He couldn't help but add. "Well... thanks. There was no-one I would have rather had those firsts with. So thanks for being patient too, and for wanting to do all those firsts with a newbie like me."
Santana groaned at the memory. "Never doing that again. Eight months without you inside me is far too long." She replied crudely before smirking. "It was amazing. I remember you were so deep since I hitched my leg up... No wonder I became addicted to it." She laughed, smiling softly. "Being your first was sexy. It meant something and knowing I was the first person to make you fall apart... God, it was so hot."
Ryder hummed in agreement. "We can barely go eight days now." He teased, a smirk playing on his lips. "It really was, and it only got better with practice." He chuckled, having been worrying about slipping the first few times before he got the hang of it. "I'm glad you thought so, and apart from being my first kiss, I think you were my first everything."
Santana rolled her hips against his, her own smirk matching the one Ryder had on his face. "Even eight days is too long." She replied before smiling. "As long as I'm your last kiss, I really don't give a fuck."
Ryder "I'm surprised we even last eight hours to be honest." He joked, running his hands along her thighs as he started to roll her hips. "Well who even wants to be a first kiss anyway? First kisses are terrible since you don't know what you're doing." He laughed. "And you'll be my last kiss, for sure."
Santana arched slightly into his body before chuckling. "I know... I mean we stopped for a while when Joshua was born because we were so fucking tired but now that he sleeps through the night and we're used to 6am starts, I say our sex life is pretty awesome for a couple with a kid."
Ryder "I don't think anyone would blame us for that, I felt like a zombie most of the time." He laughed. "I'd say so too... although kid or no kid, you're just too hot to keep my hands off so it was only ever gonna end up like this." He teased.
Santana "God no. Lack of sleep makes even eating difficult let alone having sex." She replied before smirking. "Well you aren't too bad yourself baby. Though I like the fact that you can't seem to keep your hands off of me."
Ryder laughed, nodding in agreement. "For real, and when else would we turn down food and sex?" He joked. "Thanks, we're just such a good lookin' couple clearly." He murmured, leaning in to press a kiss to her lips.
Santana "Clearly." She repeated softly before kissing him back, her arms moving to wrap around his neck in an effort to bring Ryder closer.
Ryder wrapped his arms around her waist as he moved in closer to her as she kissed him back. "I love you." He murmured. "I'm so excited for September 3rd."
Santana: "I love you too." She whispered back. "I can't wait either... I can't wait to be your wife." She told him quietly, her eyes falling closed as she kissed him softly.
Tagging: Ryder Lynn, Santana Lopez and Tom, Jack and Scott (NPCs)
When: April 15th
Where: Ryder/Santana’s apartment and various NYC bars
Notes: Ryder’s old high school friends come to visit and he gets very (very) drunk to celebrate his birthday with them. Josh also says his very first word.
Ryder was super excited to see his old McKinley friends again. He'd been keeping up with them on Facebook on and off but they'd fallen out of touch for a while before deciding to have a mini reunion with their group of friends. With Ryder offering a spare bedroom and a couch in Manhattan, the guys had jumped at the chance to come to New York and experience life in the Big Apple for a weekend. Ryder had texted them the address, telling them to get a cab to save them getting lost on the Subway system once they got to the city. He and Santana had fed Josh and he was clearing up in the kitchen when he heard their buzzer go. He grinned, heading over to the door to buzz them in. A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door. "S'up guys!!" He smiled as he opened the door, standing aside to let them in with their bags.
Santana had Josh in her arms when Ryder stopped what he was doing and made his way to the front door when the buzzer went off. Smiling when she heard a knock, the brunette pressed a kiss to her son's forehead as Ryder's old high school friends entered their apartment. She was happy the guys had agreed to have a mini reunion of sorts for her fiancé's birthday.
Ryder was perfectly happy with his life in New York, he had an amazing fiancée and son but it was still nice to see his old friends again. It wasn't like he had a whole bunch of his own friends in NYC. He had invited a few others but only three had been able to make it in the end, but that worked out just fine since they had a double bed in the spare room and the other could have the couch. "So you remember Santana..." He smiled, gesturing in the direction Santana was stood as he shut the door. "And that little dude is Josh." He added proudly, excited for his friends to meet his son for the first time. "Ryder, this place is sick... and you have a kid, you are like an official grown up. It's so weird." Tom commented as he looked around the apartment before over at the toddler in Santana's arms.
Santana walked into the lounge room where all the guys were. "Hey boys. It's been a long ass time." She laughed, hugging Jack as he stepped forward before hugging Tom and Scott.
Ryder watched as all his friends hugged Santana, it certainly had been a long time since they had all last been back in Lima at whatever McKinley party they went to last, and a lot had definitely happened since. "It really has been. We've got a lot to catch up on." Scott nodded before catching a glimpse of Santana's left hand. "Damn that's a big-ass ring... I guess congratulations are in order." He smiled, hugging Santana again before high fiving Ryder.
Santana glanced down at her ring, still not 100% used to it being on her finger. "I know, it's about time he made an honest woman out of me." She replied, pressing a kiss to Joshua's temple. "What do you guys plan to do tonight?" She asked as she bounced Josh slightly in a soothing, slow motion in an attempt to get him sleepy.
Ryder "Well it's certainly been a long time coming." He smiled softly. "Well congratulations... and good luck Santana. You're gonna need it if you're going to spend the rest of your life with that guy." Jack joked, gesturing to Ryder. "Hey! Just because no girl wants to spend more than 5 minutes with you." Ryder shot back playfully. "Tonight... probably go out and have some beers. Catch up on some wild college stories and maybe chat to some pretty ladies.... well obviously Ryder won't but the rest of us can." Tom shrugged. "You're welcome to come along too if you like."
Santana knew Ryder wouldn't be chatting up anyone but her when he came home too drunk to actually do anything about it. "I can't." She replied with a laugh. "It's kind of illegal to leave a 15 month old home alone." She teased, running her fingers over Joshua's hair. "Speaking of the baby, I'm going to try and put him to sleep. I hate to be a total mom but keep it down when you come back okay?" Santana asked, moving closer to Ryder so he could say goodnight to their son.
Ryder knew his friends were basically still big kids themselves and they didn't have a clue about looking after babies. Not that he knew a whole lot but he'd picked it up along the way. "Well maybe we can get someone to watch him tomorrow or Sunday and go for a meal or something with all of us." Ryder suggested, not wanting Santana to be left out of the weekend entirely. "I think these guys still need to get changed so we might not leave for a bit but we'll try." He smiled, kissing Josh's chubby cheeks goodnight before stealing a quick kiss from Santana too. "Dudes, do you know what I just realised? If Lynn is getting married... it'll be our first batchelor party!!" Tom grinned, looking forward to another excuse to get them all wasted.
Santana kissed Ryder back, running her fingertips along his jawline before smiling softly at Tom's realisation. "Have fun." She laughed, kissing Ryder again before saying goodbye to his friends as she made her way to Joshua's room.
Ryder hadn't been expecting to have a big or exciting batchelor party but if Tom was involved then that definitely wouldn't be the case. It was nice to have his old friends in New York though, since he mainly spent the rest of his time with Santana and their family. "Yeah yeah, I'll try." He replied teasingly, watching Santana go before he turned back to his friends, ushering them into the spare bedroom to try and get them ready.
Santana stayed in Joshua's room for longer than she first thought she would have to. He was being fussy and after an hour or attempting to get her son to sleep, the 15 month old finally caved and allowed sleep to overtake his tiny frame. Hearing the front door slowly open and close, Santana knew the guys had left but she wasn't mad at Ryder for not saying goodbye. He would have known within the first twenty minutes that Josh was being unusually fussy so in order to keep his son from hyping up at the sight of his dad, he had selected to stay away.
Ryder managed to get the guys ready and organised, which seemed to be about as chaotic as trying to get Josh dressed and ready on time without any crying. He realised Santana hadn't reappeared, trusting that she had everything under control and he didn't want to make anything worse so he just headed out with the guys. They picked a random bar to start with, drinking a few beers before moving on to another. Fast forward to the early hours of the morning and they were at some rooftop bar looking across New York and Ryder was definitely the drunkest he'd been in years. "Dudes I think it's time to head back, Lynn looks like he's going to pass out any second." Jack laughed, slurring his own words as he looked over at Ryder who was struggling to stay upright in his chair. "Fuck off, I have a kid, I don't do this stuff anymore. Not my fault I'm now a lightweight." Ryder laughed, nodding in agreement with the idea of going home since it meant going home to sharing a bed with Santana. He stood up, stumbling slightly before Scott grabbed his arm to wrap around his shoulder, guiding them out of the bar. They flagged down a cab, Ryder eventually telling the driver their address before they headed home. He was feeling slightly more sober as they reached the apartment building, not that it showed as the group of guys stumbled towards the elevator before trying and failing at getting into the apartment quietly. "Shhhh. We have to be quiet, Santana will be asleep." Ryder tried to say quietly, crashing into the coat stand as he tried to shut the door.
Santana had spent the night on Twitter and Facebook, deciding to hold a Q&A that her manager so often encouraged her to do so. After showering, brushing her teeth and relaxing, the brunette turned the lights out around midnight and had been asleep for a few hours when she heard a bang in the lounge room. Waiting a moment to make sure Josh wasn't woken up, the Latina let out a yawn before making her way out of the room she and Ryder shared. Switching on the light, Santana couldn't help but laugh as four sets of eyes locked with hers all wondering how she would react to being woken up. "I ustedes son tan jodidamente borracho." She laughed softly.
Ryder managed to just about catch the coat rack before it fell over completely, eventually getting it upright again before Santana turned the light on. He stumbled slightly as he turned to face her, blinking in the light. "Uhhhh I don't know what you just said. My Spanish isn't that great yet." He slurred, leaning on Jack for support. "I just learned how to tell her she's sexy." He leaned in to tell his friends, failing once again at talking quietly. "Thought that was the most important bit to learn first." He joked, throwing a wink in Santana's direction.
Santana rolled her eyes before making her way closer to her fiancé. "How much did he have to drink?" Santana asked Jack. "The same amount as us but apparently being a dad has made him a little bitch." Jack replied teasingly.
Ryder "Shut up dude, I have more important things to do than get drunk all the time." He replied, rolling his eyes at Jack before looking back at Santana, still leaning on his friend for support. "Hey beautiful." He slurred. "Oh there was two of you just then... double the cute." He grinned, his vision going blurry for a second before it came back to him. "How was your night?"
Santana hadn't seen Ryder this drunk in a long time but it was amusing none the less. "I spent the night making sure Josh fell asleep and then I was on Twitter. Totally boring but I want to hear about your night." She replied, helping Jack lead Ryder towards the couch. "Do you guys want food? I can make you nachos and bring you water since you all look like you need it. If anyone pukes, I'll cut you."
Ryder collapsed onto the couch as he was led there, smiling at the mention of his son. "Our night was pretty good." He smiled. "Drinks seemed to just keep coming and coming, and Tom made us all do jaegerbombs too." He chuckled drunkenly. "Well everyone else could handle it, you're way drunker than the rest of us." Scott laughed, sitting on one of the arm chairs. "Dude whose place are you staying in right now? Careful or I'll kick you out." Ryder joked before nodding at Santana's offer of food. "Food sounds amazing right now. If you make us nachos then I'll love you forever." He added. "I don't usually puke unless I've had sambuca so I should be good at least."
Santana scrunched her face up in distaste before pressing a kiss to his cheek. "I'll be back." She laughed, heading into the kitchen to make the boys their nachos and pour them all a glass of water.
Ryder smiled when he felt Santana's lips against his cheek, settling back into the couch as he waited for her to get back. It was nice to sit down after being so unsteady on his feet for so long and it was awesome to be home too. He did sometimes miss the nights out getting drunk with the guys but maybe he didn't miss them too much given how glad he was to be home. "Tom, your Snapchat story is a mess." Jack piped up, laughing as he looked through the pictures and videos from the night that had been posted already.
Santana walked back into the lounge room and placed a large plate of nachos on the coffee table. Grabbing the glasses of water from the kitchen, she handed them out before taking a seat on the couch next to Ryder.
Ryder took a glass from Santana and thanked her, his friends all following suit. He picked up a handful of nachos before moaning in appreciation of how good they tasted after his night of drinking. "God yes." His friends were equally grateful and the nachos were soon gone. "Hey Santana, wanna see a video of Ryder falling off a chair? Or walking into a lamp post? We have evidence of both." Jack laughed, taking a sip of his water. "Plus there's the stuff we didn't get on camera."
Santana shook her head, crossing her legs as the guys settled in and made themselves comfortable. "Tomorrow." She replied, knowing she needed to calm them down somehow in order to get everyone asleep before 5am when Joshua usually woke up. "How about you finish this and I'll make sure the spare room is ready and help set up out here?"
Ryder nodded along as Santana spoke. "Yeah, sounds good to me. I'll come help you with the room getting ready thing." He mumbled, standing up before falling straight back onto the couch. "Or you help me up and then I'll help you with the room." He suggested, resting his hand on Santana's shoulder as he spoke.
Santana laughed at Ryder's attempt to be helpful. "How about you go into our room and try not to crash into anything? I'll make sure your friends are settled okay?"
Ryder was going to argue but decided she probably knew best so just nodded. "Okay, and you guys had better do what she says or she'll kick your asses. Got it?" He slurred, managing to stand up on his second attempt this time. "I'll see you in a minute." He whispered to Santana, before stumbling into their bedroom. He decided to try and get changed into some pyjamas, ending up with his jeans stuck around his ankles and a t-shirt on backwards.
Santana watched as Ryder stumbled into their bedroom and after sorting out the spare bedroom and lounge room, the brunette cleaned everything up and loaded it in the dishwasher before saying goodnight to Ryder's friends. Switching off the lights, Santana walked back into the room she and Ryder shared before closing and locking the door behind her. Covering her mouth with her hand at the sight that greeted her, she shook her head before pushing Ryder back on their bed so she could remove his jeans. "Baby you are so fucking wasted."
Ryder had got a bit stuck with the getting changed thing, and he had to admit that it hadn't gone entirely to plan. He laughed when he saw her face, knowing he probably looked like a mess. He fell back onto the bed, grateful for Santana helping him out with his jeans. "Yeah I don't know how that happened... they must make the drinks stronger than they used to." He chuckled, still all light-headed and buzzed from the alcohol. "I don't remember the last time this room was spinning so much."
Santana smiled softly before helping Ryder under the covers. Turning off the lights, she joined him in bed and snuggled into his side, ignoring the fact that he stunk of alcohol. "It's been a while since we did the whole bar crawl thing. Plus you're 23... So old." She teased.
Ryder got comfortable next to Santana, wrapping his arms around her. "It's definitely been a while... especially when everyone else has done college and got their drinking practice in." He chuckled. "Definitely so old." He nodded. "Almost as old as my sexy ass girlfriend." He murmured, pressing a few kisses to her neck.
Santana frown at being called old, even if she knew she wasn't. Being a few months shy of 26 was hardly ancient. "I know you wanted that to come across as sexy but you just called me old." She told him, laughing softly as Ryder began kissing her neck.
Ryder "Did I? My bad." He laughed softly, pressing a few more sloppier-than-usual kisses to her neck. He was too drunk to be capable of doing anything with Santana but it was like his mind didn't want to accept that. "You're not old, but I did mean the sexy part. The guys were all chatting up girls earlier, or checking them out before chickening out of talking to them. But they were like a 6 or a 7. None of them were a solid 10 like you."
Santana smiled at his slurred words, tilting her head to the side in order to give him more room as a way to humor him. "Not everyone can be a solid 10." She replied before shaking her head. "Baby, you have whiskey dick. You need sleep, not an orgasm."
Ryder smirked as she moved her head, moving in closer to her as he continued to press kisses to her skin, his hands trying to smoothly creep under her shirt before they got stuck in the fabric and he couldn't work out where the hem was. "Well you're a solid 10... or maybe even an 11." He added in what he had hoped would be a flirtatious tone, but he didn't quite hit the mark. "So not true, I could go all night." He slurred.
Santana glanced down as Ryder's hand got tangled in the fabric of her nightie. "Babe." She mumbled, removing his hand to bring it to her hips over the clothing. "You're drunk. Very drunk and I don't want you to embarrass yourself because in a few hours you'll be dealing with a massive hangover. Your ego doesn't need a hit too."
Ryder was too drunk to even register that Santana had moved his hand, forgetting where he'd even tried to put them in the first place. "Of course I'm drunk, it was guys night." He mumbled. "But that doesn't stop me wanting to love on my girlf... fiancée." He corrected himself, trying to interlace his hand with hers but just ended up grabbing her wrist instead.
Santana moved her body closer to his in order to make sure he didn't fall out of bed or something stupid. "You can't even find my hand, let alone my clit. Sleep." She told him with a laugh, shaking her head at her fiancé.
Ryder had to laugh, it was just such a Santana comment to make. Plus he knew that she was right, even if he did try to do something with her, the chances were that it would fail or just be terrible in general. "Shot down by my own girl, I see how it is." He murmured jokingly, letting go of her wrist as he settled back into the pillow.
Santana wrapped her arm around his waist before pressing a kiss to his chest. "Tomorrow. If you aren't hungover still, we can fuck as much as you want." She told him reassuringly. "I just don't want vomit on my chest before I was riding you too hard."
Ryder smiled as she wrapped an arm around his waist, his eyes beginning to fall closed on their own. "Sounds good. Although my friends are still gonna be here so we'll have to be sneaky." He murmured. "I don't exactly want to vomit on you either, Lopez."
Santana hummed softly. "You know sneaky fucks get me really wet." She whispered, glancing up to see that his eyes were already falling closed. "Just sleep and remember, vomit goes in basins, baths and toilets not in beds, carpet or my hair."
Ryder smirked at her words. "Then we can be super sneaky tomorrow." He mumbled. "Make it a challenge and see how many sneaky fucks we can get in without them knowing." So he'd probably be too hungover to actually go through with this challenge but he wasn't thinking about that now. "Yeah yeah, I got it." He nodded. "Let's just hope there's no vomit in the lounge tomorrow."
Santana kissed his chest again softly, running patterns along his stomach in a soothing motion. "There won't be. I trust that you'll know when you're about to and haul ass to the bathroom. I'll deal with Josh in the morning, he's hyper as fuck and I wouldn't want him to cause you to throw up."
Ryder "Yeah I know when it's gonna happen but I was thinking about the others." He chuckled. "Thank you for dealing with Josh, I'll totally return the favour if you ever want to go out and get white girl wasted like I am." He joked. "And I'll deal with him tomorrow evening when my hangover's gone."
Santana "It's okay, I'm just glad you had fun." She replied sincerely. She worried about Ryder, since he only had one really close friend in New York. She wanted him to reconnect with his buddies.
Ryder "I did." He smiled. He had forgotten how good it was to just hang out with some friends that weren't Santana. Not that he didn't love spending time with her but it was nice to have a guys night too. "Thank you for letting them all crash here this weekend. I know they probably aren't the most ideal house guests."
Santana shrugged. "I grew up with a brother, I'm used to messy guys." She replied with a laugh.
Ryder "They definitely are messy." He laughed. "I mean I'm not the tidiest guy but I'm probably the best one out of those guys." He added. "It's been so weird seeing them again after all this time though, it kinda felt like I was 16 again."
Santana hummed softly. 'Well you never used to be. Remember when we first started dating? There was a half eaten pizza on your couch." She laughed.
Ryder laughed, shaking his head. "Nope, I remember no such thing..." He joked. "Besides I didn't say I was tidy, I just said I was tidier than the guys in there. I do think I've got better though, or do you not agree?"
Santana "Of course I agree." She replied. "You have to try and keep a tidy home with a baby." She added. "I was just saying you never used to be, you were trained. When they meet a girl like me, they'll change too."
Ryder "Ohhhhh okay." He mumbled, understanding more what Santana had meant before. "Well they might meet girls like you but I got the most awesome one of all so they'll just have to settle."
Santana "So fucking true." She laughed, letting out a yawn. "But you did wake your awesome girl up so maybe we can sleep before your son gets up?"
Ryder "I'm sorry baby, I thought we were being quiet." He chuckled softly. "Of course we can sleep, sleep sounds good." He murmured, cuddling in closer to her as he got comfortable. "I love you." He whispered into the darkness as he closed his eyes again.
Santana awoke five hours later to the sound of her son crying through the baby monitor. Blinking slowly a few times, she glanced over to see if Ryder was awake. "Baby." She whispered.
Ryder fell asleep pretty quickly, passing out from the alcohol in his system. He vaguely heard the baby monitor crackle what felt like five minutes later, groaning as he realised how badly his head was pounding. "Yeah?" He murmured as he heard Santana, not wanting to open his eyes and face the hangover just yet.
Santana laughed softly as she untangled herself from Ryder's body. "Go back to sleep." She whispered, letting out a yawn as Joshua's cries intensified. "I'll bring him back in here so your friends can sleep a little longer." She added, giving him a warning that his son would be there soon.
Ryder didn't argue, more sleep sounded perfect to him. "Sounds good." He murmured, trying to forget about the pain in his head as he drifted back to sleep. The chances were he wouldn't be asleep for much longer when Josh was in the room but he could at least hope.
Santana made her way quietly out of the bedroom she and Ryder shared and down the hallway towards their son's room. Opening the door to Josh's bedroom, the Latina greeted her crying son who was standing up waiting to be picked up. "Buenos días bebé ¿cómo estás?" Santana asked, picking up her son and craddling him. Walking to his change table, she quickly changed his dirty diaper and when he was calm, she carried Josh out to the kitchen. Placing him in his high chair where he remained quiet as he stared at the sleeping bodies in the lounge room, Santana threw the diaper in the bin and washed her hands before getting his bottle ready. With his formula heated, she picked her son up and whispered soothing words in Spanish to him before reclosing the bedroom door to her and Ryder's room once they were inside.
Ryder had drifted back into a light sleep when Santana left the room. He'd woken up about ten minutes or so later needing the bathroom. He crawled out of bed, still in his backwards t-shirt and boxers from last night, and made his way over to their ensuite bathroom. Resisting the urge to throw up too, he stuck his head under the tap for a few mouthfuls of water before heading back into their room as Santana reappeared with Josh. "Morning." He mumbled, sliding back under the covers of their bed.
Santana made herself comfortable on their bed before cradling Josh and lifting the bottle to his mouth. "You look like shit." She greeted, still leaning forward to press a good morning kiss to his lips.
Ryder "I feel like shit." He replied groggily, kissing her back as she pressed her lips to his. He slid further into the covers, resting his head on the pillow before turning on his side so he was facing Santana. "On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being sober - how bad was I last night?" He asked, his memories of last night being slightly fuzzy.
Santana smirked at his question. "A solid 9. It would have been a 10 since you called me old but you reassured me that I was still sexy." She replied with a quiet laugh, pressing a tender kiss to Josh's forehead as he continued to feed. "But you had fun so that's the main thing."
Ryder "I called you old? That doesn't sound like me, although it sounds like drunk Ryder did some damage control. For the record, you are indeed still sexy, and not at all old." He laughed softly. "Yeah it was fun... from what I remember. I bet the guys have a whole load of new embarrassing drunk Ryder stories, although hopefully they'll have forgotten most of them."
Santana hummed softly. "Yeah you did but it's okay." She replied sincerely. "I don't know... They mentioned somebody's snapchat story. You might not live this down for a while."
Ryder groaned as he heard the word Snapchat, he never used to have this problem in high school back when it wasn't a thing. "Fuck snapchat man. It never lets you live anything down." He grumbled, looking around for his phone so he could see for himself. Realising it was in his jeans pocket, he crawled out of bed again to grab it before returning to his spot next to Santana. "Let's have a look then..." He mumbled, opening Snapchat and beginning to look through his friend's stories from the night, angling the phone so Santana could see them too.
Santana looked down at Ryder's phone and watched as he began tapping through Jack's story. Biting down on her bottom lip as the story showed Ryder in photos getting drunker, she couldn't stop herself from laughing quietly. "Yep, never living it down."
Ryder watched as the photos showed him getting drunker and drunker, and there were videos too. Videos of him stumbling into a lamp post, leaning on his (also drunk) friends for support and even one of him falling off a chair. "Damn it, I bet they have all these saved too." He sighed, moving onto Tom's story where things didn't get any better. "This is all your fault." He joked, turning to look at Josh. "You're the reason I can't handle my drink anymore Little Man." He added, poking his son softly in the stomach before smiling as Josh giggled.
Santana took the bottle out of Josh's mouth so he could concentrate on his dad before scoffing. "Please, you were able to drink while I was pregnant. Don't blame Little Man." She teased, kissing Josh's temple softly before wiping his mouth with his shirt.
Ryder really blamed the fact that was now a lightweight on him skipping college and settling down with Santana instead. Not that he regretted his choice, he'd choose Santana and his family over college and drinking every single time. It was a no-brainer and one of the things he had no regrets about. "What was that? I cant hear you over my headache." He joked, tossing his phone to the side as he focused back on Santana and Josh.
Santana placed the almost empty bottle on her bedside table before burping Josh, smiling when he let out a few big burps. "Don't worry, we'll take care of you today." She reassured him, pressing a kiss to his cheek before sitting Josh on her lap. Pressing her face against her son's, she turned her body so they were facing Ryder more directly. "Isn't that right? We'll make sure daddy is okay." Santana whispered, her eyes widening when Josh laughed. "Daddy!"
Ryder "Thank you... I feel like I might die so being looked after sounds great." He murmured, feeling rather fragile from the night before. He had momentarily closed his eyes, but they snapped back open as he heard Josh speak, sitting up in the bed. He was used to hearing all kinds of nonsense babbling from their son but he was pretty sure it was his first actual word. "Did he just... Josh dude, what did you say? Did you just say Daddy?" He asked in shock, his hangover momentarily forgotten. " Daddy! " Josh repeated as Ryder stared at him, a ridiculous grin spreading across his face.
Santana smiled as she listened to Josh repeat his first word and the look on Ryder's face told her it meant everything to him. Biting down on her bottom lip as he repeated it a few mores times, the brunette handed their son to Ryder because it just made sense to do so. A small part of her was a little jealous that she hadn't been his first word but she wasn't going to take this moment from the both of them. "He's so cute."
Ryder took Josh in his arms when Santana passed him across, cuddling him closer. "Good job buddy." He smiled, trying not to get emotional about Daddy being Josh's first word or how it felt to hear his own son say Daddy in the first place. Plus he felt a strong paternal feeling kick in at the fact their baby was beginning to talk anyway, it felt like only yesterday that he'd been born. "He really is..." He agreed, pulling a face at Josh to make him laugh. "I can't believe how quickly he's growing up." He added, even if they had a long way to go yet.
Santana smiled softly before tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "How about I leave you two alone?" She suggested quietly. "I need a shower and then I'll make you breakfast."
Ryder felt a little guilty that 'daddy' had been Josh's first word, knowing he would have been a little jealous had he said 'mommy' first. He nodded, giving Santana a small smile as he agreed to her suggestion. "That sounds good to me." He nodded, his hangover feeling less important now that Josh had distracted him, turning his attention back to his son who had begun poking his face.
Tagging: Ryder Lynn and Santana Lopez
When: Before the proposal, about March? (I’m terrible at this)
Where: Their apartment
Notes: Santana talks to Ryder about her dad and sings him a song she wrote.
Santana headed into the room she and Ryder shared after having a shower. With Joshua asleep, she was looking forward to spending some alone time with her boyfriend since they had both been extremely busy with work. Though as she thought of work, Santana thought tonight might be the perfect time to show Ryder her first track from her new album. It was the most personal song she had ever written and while she knew he'd love it, Santana was nervous to show him it. "Hey baby." She greeted, closing the door before making her way onto their bed.
Ryder was relaxing on the bed he shared with Santana, playing on his phone as she showered. It'd been a busy few weeks, although busy pretty summed up their lives, especially with Josh to look after. "Hey." He smiled, exiting the game on his phone when he heard Santana's voice. "How's it going?" He asked, turning to face her once she was on the bed too.
Santana leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to Ryder's lips before making herself comfortable on the bed. "It's going good. It feels weird having some down time though." She admitted with a laugh. "But I kind of want to show you something and then all work talk can be over for tonight since we actually have time off."
Ryder smiled against her lips as he kissed her back. "Well I'm glad, and it does but it's awesome to just have some time with you even if we'll both probably pass out in an hour." He chuckled, knowing he could never stay up as late as he used to before Josh came along. "Uh, okay... I'd love to see whatever it is." He smiled, intrigued by what she had for him.
Santana "So as you know my set list for my second album was finalized a few months ago but I've kept everything pretty quiet." She started out before biting down on her bottom lip. "I want to sing you my first song on the album. I wrote it before my dad tried to contact me and I guess apart of me wonders if I should take it off the album because he's trying or whether I should keep it but tell him and explain because I really love this song. It's probably my favorite. So be honest, okay?"
Ryder was excited for Santana's new album, excited by the fact that she got to have a second album and that people liked her and her music as much as he did. Well maybe not quite as much as he did but that was besides the point. "Okay..." He nodded, happy to just that for her. "I'd love to hear it." He smiled softly, knowing her relationship with her dad was complicated to say the least.
Santana sucked in a breath before she closed her eyes and began singing her song without any help of music.
“And all I remember is your back
Walking towards the airport, leaving us all in your past
I traveled fifteen hundred miles to see you
Begged you to want me, but you didn't want to
But piece by piece, he collected me
Up off the ground, where you abandoned things, yeah
Piece by piece he filled the holes that you burned in me
At six years old and you know, he never walks away
He never asks for money, he takes care of me
He loves me
Piece by piece, he restored my faith
That a man can be kind and a father could... stay”
Ryder stared at her in surprise as she got into the song, he definitely wasn't expecting it to be so... open or for her to reference him quite so blatantly. He continued to listen, a strong sense of family washing over him as he listened to the lyrics.
Santana felt herself beginning to tear up, the emotion she was feeling even stronger than it had been while she was recording it in the studio.
“And all of your words fall flat
I made something of myself and now you want to come back
But your love, it isn't free, it has to be earned
Back then I didn't have anything you needed so I was worthless
But piece by piece, he collected me
Up off the ground, where you abandoned things, yeah
Piece by piece he filled the holes that you burned in me
At six years old and you know, he never walks away
He never asks for money, he takes care of me
He loves me
Piece by piece, he restored my faith
That a man can be kind and a father could... stay”
Ryder listened as the word's seemed to only get more poignant. He knew that very few people knew about how much Santana had been hurt by her father's absence and now she was putting it out there in the biggest way possible, and he couldn't be prouder of her.
Santana closed her eyes, a few tears running down her cheeks as she did so. The next verse always got to her, she was mentioning their son and the entire world they had created together. With her bottom lip trembling slightly, she powered through the rest of the song.
“Piece by piece I fell far from the tree
I will never leave him like you left me
And he will never have to wonder his worth
Because unlike you I'm going to put him first
And you know, he'll never walk away,
He'll never break his heart
He'll take care of things, he'll love him
And piece by piece, he'll restore my faith
That a man can be kind and a father should be great
Piece by piece”
Ryder was already emotional from the song itself and seeing the tears on Santana's face but the mention of their son pushed him over the edge, rubbing at his eyes as he felt himself tearing up. He definitely would always put Josh first, the little dude was definitely his world along with Santana too. Ryder was quiet for a good few moments after she finished, at a loss for words of what to say. "I, uh... damn Lopez. That was insane." He mumbled, wiping at his eyes again.
Santana wiped her eyes before letting out a teary laugh. "You're not supposed to cry. That's my part." She teased, locking eyes with Ryder properly since she started singing.
Ryder laughed softly, swallowing the lump in his throat as he tried not to cry more. "You can't sing a song like that for me and expect me not to get emotional, that's not how it works." He replied teasingly.
Santana smiled sadly. "Yeah well it's been something I've wanted to share with you for a while but I just couldn't find the right time." She replied softly. "Do you mind if I use it? I mean you are featured in it... Everyone is going to know what a great guy you are." She joked.
Ryder "Well I'm glad you finally found it." He smiled, wiping his eyes once more as he just about got a hold on his tears at least. "Yeah of course you can use it." He nodded. "It's an amazing song. Please, everyone should know that already."
Santana moved closer, her hand reaching out to interlace with his. "I meant every word I wrote." She whispered seriously, her eyes never leaving Ryder's. "The first time we dated, I helped you with your demons as best as I could. I loved you so much but I didn't think you'd be my happy ending, I just wasn't the type of girl who was going to get that." She explained softly. "But then when we started dating again as adults and you just... You never gave up on me. You showed me that I deserve someone to love me and you are the only person to make me think it could be true. That it is true." Santana whispered, wiping away the tear that was threatening to fall. "You just love me and you respect me and you support me. A girl who watched her dad leave her like she was nothing doesn't expect that to be her reality and I just... I can never thank you for giving me that second chance."
Ryder may have stopped his tears before but her words got to him all over again as he used his free hand to wipe at his eyes yet again. He knew that she never found putting her feelings into words or communicating them across to him easy. So to hear her talk so openly, about how much she loved him of all things, was hitting him harder than he thought it would. "Santana... I don't know what to say." He mumbled, trying to put some thoughts into sentences. "You helped with my issues more than you'll ever know. I firmly believe you are the reason I'm who I am today. You were patient, kind and loving and you still are today." He explained, figuring he'd just say whatever words came to mind and see where that got him. "I was absolutely gutted when we broke up. Especially because our break up wasn't either one of our faults. It wasn't that we'd fallen out of love or that one of us had fucked up, it was just the wrong time and the wrong place for us. That probably made it hurt more, but it's also what made it an unbelievably easy call to give you that second chance. There was never going to be any other answer than yes. It'll always be yes, and I'm so fucking happy I ran into you in that bar again. You're my life Santana, you're the most amazing girl and never mind deserving me, you deserve the entire world."
Santana felt her bottom lip begin to tremble and without thinking she moved to straddle his lap, her arms wrapping around Ryder's neck as she buried her face into his shoulder. "I love you." She whispered pulling back to kiss him softly. "So much. Thank you for being such an amazing man and a perfect dad. Thank you for not hurting me like my dad hurt my mom and I just... Thank you for not hurting Josh. Thank you for loving him and keeping him safe from everything I had to go through."
Ryder wrapped his arms around her the second she buried her head in his shoulder. Just being able to hold her like this felt amazing and he sometimes felt like this was all a dream that he was going to wake up from anytime soon, and he'd just be back in his Lima bedroom senior year, single and lonely. "I love you too." He whispered, wishing there was a word stronger than love since that didn't seem to do his feelings justice anymore. "You don't have to thank me for that stuff San. It's not like it's an effort or a chore. There's nowhere else I'd rather be. But while we're here, thank you for letting me be all those things for you." He whispered. "And you're the most amazing mom to Josh so between us, I think he'll turn out just fine, no hurt needed."
Santana cupped Ryder's face, the back of her thumbs running soothingly along his jawline. "Our family is perfect." She whispered not knowing how else to say everything she was feeling. She couldn't find the words.
Ryder laughed softly. "Sorry, 17 year old me just heard you say family..." He murmured, explaining his laughter. "If you'd told me all of this would happen and we would end up together, I don't know if I would have believed you.... not that I didn't want it, even back then, I just never thought it would happen for us."
Santana laughed softly. "Tell me about it. If 19 year old Santana had known she'd be a mom this young, happy with you and a freaking pop star she'd probably punch the person in the throat for lying."
Ryder "Yeah... that sounds about right." He chuckled. "God I remember joking about being your groupie and how we wouldn't need to win the lottery 'cause you'd be a popstar... and you just sang me a song from your second album. It's freaking crazy. I'm so proud of you and I'm so happy that people like your music, even if I'm still claiming the #1 fan spot."
Santana kissed him softly. "You'll always have that spot. You'll always be my number one everything."
Ryder kissed her back as her lips found his. "That feeling is very mutual." He murmured. "And for the record, I think you should keep the song on the album." He added softly, remembering what she'd said right before she sang the song for him.
Santana leaned her forehead against Ryder's. "Okay... I should probably call my dad. Play it for him and explain a few things." She added quietly.
Ryder "Sounds good to me." He agreed. "I mean it probably won't be the nicest thing for him to hear but your feelings were totally legitimate when you wrote that song and maybe it can be closure for you both?" He suggested. "You would've had the chance to put your feelings out there and now you can both move on and build a new relationship together."
Santana bit down on her bottom lip. "I just don't want to lose him over a song." She admitted quietly before adding. "But if he's serious, he won't bail because of that."
Ryder "Exactly, and he is serious so it'll be fine." He nodded. He still had his doubts about Emilio but he wasn't going to voice those to Santana, she didn't need to hear them and he hoped he was going to be proved wrong anyway. "And he hurt you when he left, we both know that, so it's not exactly unfair for him to have to hear this."
Santana knew Ryder was right but a part of her wanted to protect her dad from all the pain he had caused her. She wasn't sure why considering everything he had made her feel. "I know you're right but maybe you could be there with me when I play it for him?"
Ryder "I can't promise I won't cry again but of course I'll be there with you." He nodded, giving her a soft smile. Besides, he could definitely gauge Emilio's reaction first hand if he was there and shut him down if he even hinted at being out of line towards Santana. "Just let me know when you want to do it and I'll make myself free."
Santana smiled and kissed Ryder softly. "Thank you and I'll talk to him tomorrow so we can work it out."
Tagging: Ryder Lynn and Santana Lopez
When: Ryder’s junior year, sometime after they first slept together.
Where: In and around McKinley/Lima
Notes: Santana surprises Ryder by showing up to support him at one of his Titans’ games.
Warnings: Smut
Santana made the familiar way to the McKinley Football field where she would be watching her first high school football game since graduating almost a year prior. Wearing jeans and Ryder's jersey tied mid-way to expose her flat stomach, the brunette didn't mind that it was freezing because showing her body off for her boyfriend was going to be worth it. Heading to the bleachers, Santana took a seat close to where the Cheerios would be doing their routine and glanced around trying to spot Ryder. He had no idea she was here, Santana had saved her ass off in order to manage four days back home and she planned to spend the majority of her time with Ryder.
Ryder was looking forward to the game, he enjoyed football and it was definitely the best part of school for him. He couldn't do math or get good grades in anything but gym, but at least he could run fast and catch a ball. He headed out onto the field with his teammates, carrying his helmet and chatting to his friends as they stopped by the team bench. He had his back to the bleachers, half-watching the Cheerios as they kicked off their usual pre-match routine. He was in the process of sending Santana a text when one of his teammates spoke up, pointing towards the bleachers. "Hey Ryder, you didn't tell us your girlfriend was coming. Damn she's hot in person.” Ryder's head snapped up, spinning round to see what the dude was talking about when he spotted Santana. He promptly dropped his helmet on the floor and took off towards the bleachers. He vaulted over the bar blocking the bleachers from the field, needing to get to his girlfriend as soon as possible. "Santana! What are you doing here?" He grinned, automatically wrapping his arms around when he got to her.
Santana noticed Ryder running towards her and stood as he jumped over the bar that separated the bleachers from the field. Hugging him back tightly, the brunette pressed a kiss to her boyfriend's lips before shrugging her shoulders. "I was tired of missing you so I cashed in my savings." She replied softly. "I'm here four whole days."
Ryder kissed her back, unbelievably happy to be able to do just that and be able to touch her in person. He wasn't expecting to see her for another few weeks at least so this was an amazing and very unexpected surprise for him. "Four days? Oh my god, this is going to be the best freaking weekend." He grinned, having had nothing planned already other than skyping Santana in the first place. "I've missed you too, so so much." He added, stealing another kiss as his arms stayed wrapped around her.
Santana leaned into Ryder's embrace, loving that she could finally touch him and not just communicate with him through a screen. "I have so many things planned for us." She admitted. "Mostly watching you kick ass tonight and then not leaving a bed for the day at least." Santana added before kissing him again.
Ryder "I can't wait to hear all of your plans." He smiled, looking forward to the weekend about 1000x more now that Santana was here. "Does one of them include going to the after-party?" He asked teasingly, knowing it would probably be a huge throwback for her to be at a Titans party. Not that he minded giving it a miss if her alternative was a private date night for the two of them. "Sounds perfect." He smiled, taking the chance to deepen the kiss, as much as he could whilst in public anyway.
Santana pulled back and nodded. "For you, I'll go to the god damn after party." She laughed, feeling better about the situation since at least she was still legally underage drinking wise. Slapping Ryder's ass, she looked up at her boyfriend and grinned. "Kick Carmel's ass. I fucking hate that school."
Ryder "Awesome. We don't have to stay for long either, and whatever we will do will be amazing." He shrugged. It'd be fun to have a night to just get drunk with Santana though with some good old games of beer pong and Kings Cup to look forward to. Plus it'd be a chance for her to get to know his friends better, and maybe a little for him to show off his girlfriend who he was hella proud of. He laughed when she slapped his ass before grinning. "I'll kick their ass single handedly, just for you." He replied teasingly. "Nice jersey by the way." He added, the sight of his jersey on her making him smile a ridiculous amount.
Santana trailed her fingertips from the side of her breast to her waist at Ryder's compliment. "This old thing?" She asked. "I got your mom to mail your jersey from last year to me when I told her I was thinking about surprising you. By the way, she and your dad are going to be MIA tonight. They agreed to give us alone time which is two parts creepy but mostly awesome because they trust us."
Ryder "So my parents were in on this?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her. "Well it looks better on you than it ever did on me." He shrugged, smiling softly at her. "Wait, you also got my parents out of the house? Well played Lopez. Guess we better take advantage of that while we can." He added teasingly, leaning in to kiss her again. He heard his teammates yelling his name, reluctantly pulling away from Santana. "I guess I have some Carmel ass to go kick. I'll come see you at half time though?"
Santana kissed him quickly as Ryder reluctantly pulled away. "Of course, I'll be right here." She replied watching him walk back onto the field as she retook her seat. The first half was pretty standard. Santana knew the rules to football because she had been a Cheerio since her freshman year of high school but this game was different. She was cheering for her boyfriend and when Ryder scored a touchdown, she was pretty sure her voice was the loudest in the crowd. When the half time buzzer sounded, the Latina stood to her feet and made her way to the barricade as she waited for Ryder to greet her.
Ryder looked back at her as he walked back to his teammates, the biggest grin now plastered across his face. He forced himself to get his head in the game, trying to block Santana's presence from his mind so that he wasn't constantly looking at her instead of focusing on the game. He pointed straight at her when he scored his touchdown before giving her the chance to see his cheesy endzone dances in person. He ditched his helmet by the team bench when the half time buzzer rang, pushing his sweaty hair out of his face as he jogged over to see Santana again. "Hey, enjoying the game?" He asked, leaning over to press a kiss against her lips. "Is watching the Titans as good as you remember?"
Santana kissed Ryder back before letting out a soft hum. "It's better." She replied honestly. "Nobody has ever pointed to me after a touchdown." She admitted quietly. She had never really been the girl that had songs sung to her or things dedicated to her. "I am not a fan of the sweat though." Santana added, pushing back his sweaty hair from his face.
Ryder smiled, raising an eyebrow slightly when she told him no-one had ever pointed to her before. "Really? You're the most touchdown-pointing worthy girl I know, but now I feel honoured to have been your first." He added teasingly. "Yeah well the sweat comes with the game unfortunately. I'll make sure I shower after the game and then you won't have to deal with it more than you already are."
Santana laughed. "Damn straight you are having a shower. I'll wait for you in the parking lot while you sort everything out in the locker room. I know you guys have post game traditions." She replied, knowing what it was like to date a footballer before. "You are doing really well out there. I'm proud of you baby." Santana added softly, kissing him just as Coach Beiste called Ryder's name. "Good luck."
Ryder chuckled, knowing exactly what went on in the locker room after games. Except he had a feeling this time he'd be getting questioned about Santana now that the rest of the team had seen them together, and she was wearing his jersey of all things. "Okay sounds good to me. I can give you my keys if you like so you don't have to stand and wait in the cold." He added, his hands tracing over Santana's bare midriff. "Thanks, and thanks." He murmured, smiling against his lips. "I love you." He whispered, stealing one more kiss before reluctantly pulling away and turning back towards the field.
Santana smiled. "I love you too." She replied, taking a seat once Ryder was heading back towards his coach. The second half of the game went quickly and for once, the Titans actually won. Cheering along with the crowd, the brunette joined in and began chanting in an effort to show her support for her old school's team.
Ryder played his socks off, not that he didn't usually, but there was an entirely new level of pressure that came with Santana watching him. She seemed to be a good luck charm though since he scored a few more touchdowns, getting the chance to show off his endzone dances even more. He pulled his helmet off when the final whistle blew, laughing as he saw her chanting. Ryder blew a kiss in her direction before heading off to the locker room to have a shower and get changed.
Santana grabbed her belongings and made her way to the car park once the hype at settled down. Sitting in the passenger side, the brunette glanced over to the back seat and picked up a stray hoodie Ryder had thrown back there. Putting it on, she buckled her seat belt as she waited for her boyfriend trying to get warm after being exposed to the cold wind for a few hours.
Ryder showered and got changed as quickly as he could, and as quickly as the guys would let him, before grabbing all his stuff and heading out to his car. He opened the trunk, throwing everything in there before sliding into the drivers seat. "Hey beautiful." He grinned, leaning over to kiss Santana just because he could. "Cool hoodie, goes with the jersey nicely." He teased as he pulled his seatbelt on.
Santana kissed Ryder back, a smile gracing her lips. "I know it does. The thing I've missed about being a normal distance girlfriend is the ability to steal all of your clothes." She laughed, kissing him again. "Hey." She whispered, thankful that they had some time alone. "God I've missed you."
Ryder "Does this mean you're gonna steal all of my hoodies while you're here and then run off to New York with them?" He asked jokingly, smiling against her lips as she kissed him again. God he was not going to get enough of that before the weekend was over. "I've missed you too." He whispered, stealing one more kiss before slowly pulling away to start the car. He had a feeling they would spend all night just making out in his car otherwise.
Santana pulled away, fiddling with the radio just to annoy Ryder. "I have never wanted to come back to Lima so badly in my life." She admitted. "Mom is going to be pissed when I only spend a second with her during the entire four days."
Ryder "Yeah I never thought I'd hear anyone say they wanted to come back to Lima ever." He joked, not caring about her fiddling with the radio since it was amazing she was here and able to fiddle with it in the first place. "Awe well I would say sorry to her for stealing you away but I'm really not." He chuckled, pulling out of the parking lot. "By the way, do you want to go to the after party?" He asked, not bothered which way she answered since he'd be spending time with her regardless.
Santana "I said I'd go to the after party with you so I will." She replied before adding. "But if you'd rather go back to your place and fuck me, I'm fine with that too."
Ryder "Awesome." He nodded, excited to spend some time with Santana around his friends rather than just hers for a change. "I mean I'm still going to take you home and fuck you, that'll just come after." He shrugged, the words still sounding a bit strange for him given how long he'd spent rejecting her advances. "Do you need to change for the party or stop at my place first for any reason or are we good to go straight there?"
Santana shook her head. "I'm a hot, 19 year old in a relationship. I don't need to get all dressed up like I used to since what I'm wearing right now is comfortable and totally turns the only guy I want on. I'm wearing your number and I look great in red."
Ryder smiled softly, humming agreement. "Yes it totally does." He nodded. "You look freaking hot in every colour but red does look amazing on you." He smiled, driving them towards the after party. Luckily tonight's party wasn't being held too far from his own house so they could walk home and he wouldn't have to worry about driving whilst drunk. "I still can't believe you're here, it's like an awesome dream or something." He smiled softly, glancing across at her before back at the road.
Santana placed her hand on Ryder's knee and squeezed gently. "Believe it." She grinned just as Ryder turned the corner that would lead them to the after party. "Ready to show me off?"
Ryder smiled happily, turning into the road of the party before parking behind some of other Titan cars. "Fuck yeah I am." He nodded, grinning at the idea of being able to have his girlfriend on his arm at one of these parties. He was usually at these things alone, if he went at all, and also usually spent his time at the parties drunk texting Santana or talking to Cheerios about how much he missed his girlfriend when he wasn't being dragged into beer pong games by his friends.
Santana laughed as she got out of Ryder's now parked car. Stretching slightly, the brunette interlaced her hand with her boyfriend's before the couple made their way towards the house. Stepping inside sent Santana back to all the times she had spent at parties like this. She used to worry about Ryder cheating on her, because she knew how manipulating cheerleaders could be, but as the months went on she realized he just wanted her and that made Santana happy.
Ryder pressed a kiss to the side of Santana's head, smiling uncontrollably as they headed into the party hand in hand. There was the standard party music blaring out of speakers somewhere and drinks set out in the kitchen. There was an added buzz in the air since McKinley had won their game and it was actually a celebration for them rather than a commiseration. "What do you want to drink?" He asked, raising his voice so she could hear him above the music as he led her towards the kitchen.
Santana "Vodka with any mixer." She replied with a slightly raised voice. "God this is exactly how we used to party."
Ryder "Got it." He nodded, letting go of her hand and grabbing two cups and filling them with vodka and some of the lemonade he spotted sitting on the side. "Yeah? Is it it like you've stepped back in time?" He asked jokingly, picking up the cups and handing one to her. "Do you feel like you're in high school again?"
Santana laughed and nudged his shoulder. "I'm not that old. It was only last year." She replied before nodding her head. "A little bit, yeah. It's weird."
Ryder flashed a playful smile in her direction, taking a sip of his drink. "I bet... I can't wait until these parties and high school is behind me. I'll hopefully be on to bigger and better things, and maybe even moving to New York."
Santana didn't hide how big her smile became at the mention of Ryder possibly moving to New York. "I hope you do. I heard my couch is super comfortable." She teased, taking a sip of her drink before glancing around the room. "So much better than Lima."
Ryder "Gotta get through the rest of this year and senior year first and then I'll be there." He chuckled. "Your couch is pretty comfortable, although not as much as your bed." He leaned down to whisper in her ear. "And yeah Lima sucks ass." He agreed easily.
Santana turned her head so she could press a kiss to his temple. "My bed is the best." She agreed softly. "So where are your friends, introduce me?"
Ryder smiled at her, humming in agreement. "They're around somewhere..." He trailed off, looking around the party before he spotted them. "Come on then, let's go meet the jackasses." He joked, taking Santana's hand with the hand that wasn't holding his drink and leading her through the groups of people towards a small group of guys standing around. "Hey guys." He smiled as they approached them. "Thought you might want to meet someone... this is Santana. And Santana, this is Jack, Tom, Scott and Ian." He smiled. "Nice to meet you Santana, it's cool to meet the girl Lynn is always banging on about. " One of them replied, ignoring the look Ryder was giving him.
Santana followed Ryder before smiling as he introduced his friends to her. "I bet it is." She joked before glancing at Ryder. "It's nice to meet you guys too. Good game by the way."
Ryder let go of Santana's hand, only so he could drape his arm around her shoulders and pull her closer to him. "It is. I mean we've seen a lot of pictures too, you're the background on his phone for starters." Another of his friends added before a third spoke up. "Plus you're Santana Lopez and everyone at this party knows who you are, you had quite the reputation at McKinley." He added, the group murmuring a general thanks and a smile in her direction at her compliment on the game.
Santana raised an eyebrow at the mention of her reputation. She knew what people used to say about her, it hurt her more than she ever let on. “Yeah well not everything regarding it is true. I do keep razor blades in my hair though.”
Ryder knew his friends weren’t talking about her reputation with guys (and girls) but more her reputation as an all-round badass. “Yeah do not mess with her, she will kick your ass.” Ryder chuckled. “And I wouldn’t do a thing to stop her.”
Santana offered Ryder a smirk before she and her boyfriend continued spending some time with his friends. It felt a little strange to be around a group of teenage guys that clearly weren’t as mature as Ryder, even if he was pretending to be some of the time, but Santana also liked it. They weren’t serious and it was nice to just let loose. “I think I’m getting drunk.” She whispered in Ryder’s ear, downing the rest of her drink. “Oops.”
Ryder was used to spending time around Santana’s friends but not so much his own. He liked that his friends had gotten to meet Santana though since they had been together for quite a while now. He laughed when he heard Santana whisper in his ear, finishing off his own drink. “Want to go get more?” He chuckled. “We could even do some shots.” He added teasingly.
Santana nodded her head at Ryder’s question. “Body shots?” She suggested before pressing a kiss to her boyfriend’s lips.
Ryder laughed before nodding in agreement. “Yeah I’m down for body shots.” He smirked as he kissed her back. “I mean I don’t think I’ve ever done one before but then I’ve never been at one of these parties with my girlfriend… so yeah, I’m down.”
Santana grinned. “I’ll teach you.” She replied, happy that Ryder hadn’t used her absence as time to flirt with other girls. Taking his hand, the brunette said goodbye to his friends before leading Ryder towards the kitchen. “Tequila?” She asked grabbing the bottle of alcohol from its spot on the bench.
Ryder had definitely been offered the chance to do body shots before but licking another girl’s body that wasn’t Santana just did not appeal to him. “Later guys.” He nodded, flashing a grin at his friends before following Santana to the kitchen. “Sure, it’s probably the least bad out of these.” He laughed, looking over the other bottles of drink lying around. “So teacher, where do we start?”
Santana opened the bottle of alcohol and placed it in Ryder’s hands. “Hold that.” She mumbled, grabbing some salt and two piece of pre-cut lemon from the bowl they were in. “First the salt.” She whispered, taking a step forward to lick a long line with her tongue on Ryder’s neck before sprinkling the salt over it. “Then the shot.” She mumbled, pouring the tequila into two shot glasses before resting a piece of lemon by each of them. Running her tongue over the area she had salted, the brunette pressed a kiss to his neck before downing the shot and sucking on the piece of lemon. “Easy.”
Ryder did as he was told, holding the bottle for Santana whilst she got everything ready for the shots. He tilted his head to the side to give her more room and better access to his neck. “Okay I think I love body shots already.” He laughed as he felt the all too familiar feeling of Santana’s lips on his neck for the first time in weeks. “Okay I think I got this…” He trailed off teasingly, leaning down to lick a spot on her neck before adding salt to it. He leaned in again, licking the spot where the salt was, unable to stop himself from kissing her neck for a good few extra seconds before pulling away and downing the shot before finally sucking on the lemon. “So like that?”
Santana hummed, her eyes never leaving Ryder’s. “Except most guys like to do it in between the girls breasts.” She added with a laugh. “But everyone here is underage so I feel like it’s not the best time to do it.” She added kind of seriously.
Ryder raised an eyebrow as she replied, chuckling softly. “From what I’ve witnessed, it’s usually neck and abs that people do here.” He shrugged, looking around the rest of the party. “Although there’s nothing to say we can’t swipe this bottle and do the other one later. Like when we’re back at mine on our own later.”
Santana: scoffed. "Everyone here are amateurs." She teased. "I'm not stealing alcohol from a 16 year old. I have my own." She reminded him, interlacing her hand with his. "Does this place have a basement? Usually a game of poker or beer pong going on down there."
Ryder "Well fine, we can do it with your drink later if you like." He laughed, leaning down to press a kiss to her lips as she interlaced their hands. "Yeah it does actually." He nodded, grabbing another bottle of beer with his free hand as he led her out of the kitchen towards the basement. "Wanna be on my team or do you think you can beat me?" He asked playfully as they made it downstairs to where the beer pong was set up.
Santana: grabbed herself a fresh drink and followed Ryder downstairs. "Oh I'm going to kick your ass Lynn." She laughed, noticing one of Ryder's friends from earlier. "Hey Tom!" She greeted. "Be on my team? We'll show Ryder whose boss."
Ryder laughed, shaking his head at her. "In your dreams, Lopez." He shot back, laughing when she got Tom to team up with her. "Come on then Jack." He said, gesturing to one of his other friends to come be on his team. "You're going down San." He joked, throwing a wink in her direction as he picked up the ping pong ball.
Santana: was a Beer Pong Queen. She and Puck dominated the game during most of the parties they attended during high school and it seemed she hadn't lost her touch. "Drink again baby!" She laughed, just as Ryder made his own shot forcing her to drink.
Ryder could hold his own at beer pong, he wasn't bad at all so it was going to be an interesting game. He shook his head at her, a grin still plastered to his face as he picked up the cup and downed the contents. "Yeah that's right, you drink too!" He laughed, already feeling the effects of the drink he'd had already tonight.
Santana: groaned when Tom missed another cup, her eyes narrowing towards Ryder's friend. "God damn it. No me gusta!" She exclaimed, taking another drink before sinking the ball she had thrown. "Come on man, you've got this." Santana told Tom, laughing and high fiving him when he actually sunk his ball.
Ryder couldn't help but laugh at Santana's annoyance and the look on Tom's face when she snapped at him. "Congrats Tom, finally." He teased when the ball finally landed in a cup and he watched Jack drink it. "See, are you sure you wanted Tom?" He asked teasingly as Jack picked up the ball and landed it in one of their cups.
Santana: flipped Ryder off before telling Tom to step back for a moment. "I can take you both." She told him, the alcohol beginning to impair her vision slightly.
Ryder "I see how it is, I love you too babe." He called back jokingly as she flipped him off. He looked across at Jack in disbelief when she told them she could take them before looking back at her. "Okay then... bring it."
Santana: clapped her hands. "Oh I will." She laughed, using the advantage of having Tom's turn to be able to sink more balls which could help impair Ryder and Jack's ability to play. "Drink up." She laughed as Jack missed his shot but Ryder hit. When she sank both of her ping pong balls, she pointed to Ryder. "Both for you."
Ryder watched as she managed to sink both her balls, not all surprised when she nominated him to drink them both. "Oh come on..." He laughed, reluctantly picking up one cup and downing the warm liquid before he did the same with the other. The alcohol was definitely starting to hit him as he struggled to focus, missing his next shot.
Santana: watched as Ryder missed his next shot and Santana only managed to sink one of her two ping pong balls. "God damn it." She laughed, her drinking the beer before shaking her head. They still had to get home and she didn't want their entire night to be spent passed out and/or throwing up so she took a step back. "I'm out."
Ryder grinned, high fiving Jack before they did a cliche chest bump. " I have to say Santana, you're pretty good at handling those balls. " Tom commented from where he was stood behind her still.
Santana: hiccuped as the alcohol hit her harder than she thought it would and shook her head. "I know. Ask Ryder." She slurred, her eyes locking with her boyfriends as she swayed slightly. "I'm tiny and I'm drunk and I still nearly kicked both of your asses."
Ryder laughed, shrugging his shoulders when his friends all turned to look at him. It was nice to be able to even just joke around about this stuff rather than flat out lying like he had done for years. "Yes you are drunk, are you alright over there?" Ryder asked, noticing that she was unsteady on her feet. "Yes you did, it was very impressive."
Santana: nodded her head. "I'm fine." She replied making her way closer to Ryder. "But you may need to carry me home."
Ryder "That's fine." He chuckled. He may be drunk himself but he would probably be just about okay to carry Santana home if it came to it. Luckily it wasn't too far though. "Did your plan for tomorrow include sleeping off a hangover?" He asked teasingly, although at least they could lie in bed and get through it together.
Santana: shook her head. "Not really but you got me drunk so now I'm going to have to schedule it in." She laughed softly.
Ryder "Sorry not sorry." He laughed, shrugging his shoulders. It'd been nice to be able to just have some drinks with Santana and have a fun night out. "Let me know when you're ready to leave and we can head home." He added with a smile, more than ready to leave when Santana was.
Santana: "I'm ready to go now." She replied softly. "Either that or pass out on the nearest flat surface."
Ryder smiled, interlacing his hand with Santana's. "Okay let's go then." He smiled, turning to say bye to his friends. "See you guys later, we're leaving." He smiled, ignoring the smirks and catcalls that followed as he turned and lead Santana towards the stairs out of the basement.
Santana: ignored Ryder's friends and leaned into her boyfriend's side as they made their way out of the house. Sucking in a breath of fresh air as they stepped outside, Santana felt her head becoming less foggy as the cold air woke her up slightly. "Tonight wasn't supposed to end with me being this drunk." She admitted as they walked down the empty road.
Ryder let go of her hand, wrapping his arm around her shoulder so she could get closer into his side. "Awh I'm sorry I'm such a bad influence on you." He joked. "Maybe you should have joined my team for beer pong after all..." He added teasingly. "But really, let me know if you do want carrying or need to slow down or something." He added more seriously.
Santana: flicked Ryder's chest. "Please, if Tom knew how to throw a god damn ball you would be me and I'd be you right now." She replied with a laugh. "I'm fine... I just haven't been drinking that much in New York. Between working at the diner and ballet classes, I'm too exhausted."
Ryder laughed, there was no denying Santana probably would have beaten him if she hadn't walked away from the game like she had. "Well I'd like to see you try and carry me home." He joked. "I see, that makes sense. Plus drinking in New York is expensive, at least compared to here. Well at least you get this weekend off to just chill with me."
Santana: bit down on her bottom lip. "Please, we both know your arms are the ones designed for the lifting." She smirked before nodding her head. "It's expensive as fuck."
Ryder laughed, knowing that Santana had a thing for his arms. It definitely motivated him to keep going to the gym, even if he had to force himself to work on his legs occassionally too. "It really is, it's insane that the exact same thing can be so much more." He nodded. "One of us just needs to win the lottery and we'd be set."
Santana: smiled. "Or I'll become a superstar and you can be my boy toy." She teased, wanting a career in the entertainment business so badly.
Ryder "That's a great plan." He smiled, genuinely believing his girlfriend was talented enough to make it. "Of course I'll be your boy toy and I'll be your #1 groupie too." He added jokingly.
Santana: leaned up and pressed a kiss to his jawline. "Good because I don't want anyone else but you." She admitted softly, her forehead leaning against his shoulder momentarily. "I love you."
Ryder smiled softly at her words. It was sometimes hard to believe that Santana liked him back, she seemed way out of his league so hearing her say stuff like that always made him smile. "I don’t want anyone else either San, and I love you too."
Santana: smiled up at her boyfriend before she remained quiet throughout their walk back to Ryder's house. Once they were safely inside the Lynn home, Santana removed her shoes and placed her handbag on the dining room table before stretching. "I need water."
Ryder was happy to keep quiet for the rest of the walk back, just enjoying Santana's company and the fact she was there in the first place. He let them into the house, locking the door behind them before kicking off his shoes. "And water you shall get." He smiled, heading for the kitchen to get her the drink she wanted.
Santana: wasn't expecting Ryder to pour her a glass of water but she should have known. He was always looking out for her. Following him into the kitchen, she accepted the glass and began taking small sips. "Thank you. Tonight was actually really fun."
Ryder "Not a problem." He smiled, pouring himself a glass of water to try and combat tomorrow's hangover as much as possible. "Thank you for coming, best surprise ever. That includes the time when I was 7 and I got a new bike." He teased. "But I'm glad you enjoyed it, and hopefully my friends weren't too annoying."
Santana: placed her glass on the bench and took a few steps closer to Ryder. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she pressed a kiss to his lips before smiling. "I'm better than a bike? Win." She teased, her thumb running along his jawline. "I've really missed you." She confessed softly. "So much."
Ryder smiled, putting his glass down so that he could wrap his arms around Santana's waist. "Yes, yes you are." He mumbled against her lips. "So much better than a bike." He nodded in agreement with her, having missed her since the second he left New York the last time. "I really really missed you." He nodded. "I can't wait until I'm done with school and I can move out to the city."
Santana: hummed and kissed his lips again. "I can't wait. New York is amazing but it will be perfect with you there with me." She whispered sincerely. "It might actually start to feel properly like home."
Ryder loved the idea of living in the city with Santana and he loved that she thought that it'd feel more like home with him there. He kept his arms around her waist as he leant in to kiss her again, taking the chance to deepen the kiss as his love for her took over.
Santana: moaned softly against his lips as Ryder deepened their kiss. Pressing her body closer to his, the brunette leaned her forehead against his before pulling away ever so slightly. "Upstairs?"
Ryder smiled against her lips as he heard her moan, god he'd missed that sound. It didn't sound the same over Skype or over the phone. "Yes, upstairs." He nodded. "Upstairs would be great."
Santana: grinned against his lips. "Well let's go then." She teased, interlacing her hand with his before leading him up the stairs and towards his bedroom.
Ryder followed her out of the kitchen, hitting the lights on his way out before following her up to his room. "This night has been so much better than I expected it to be when I left the house." He chuckled. "I thought I'd be coming home alone for starters."
Santana: turned on the light in Ryder's room before turning around to face her boyfriend as he shut the door behind him. "Would you have thought about me while you were in here?" She asked softly, taking a seat on his bed. "Called me for some phone sex or a photo?"
Ryder nodded as he made his way over to his bed and took a seat next to her. "Yeah I would have done. I mean I might have just come in and passed out from the drink but I would have been thinking about you either way." He chuckled softly. "If you weren't here then I probably would have stayed at the party longer and come in later. If you'd been asleep then I could have used one of the favourites I have saved on my phone." He teased.
Santana: kept her eyes locked with Ryder's. "Maybe I should send you some updated ones?" She suggested as she removed the hoodie she had been wearing of his. "Maybe in this?" She added, running her hands down his jersey.
Ryder "Well I wouldn't exactly complain about that..." He chuckled, watching as she removed his hoodie. "You do look freaking hot in that jersey." He commented with a smile. "Maybe you should wear it more often."
Santana: smiled softly. "Maybe I could keep this one?" She suggested before removing the pair of shorts she was wearing leaving her in just the jersey and lingerie. "I'd wear it to bed." She admitted with a laugh.
Ryder "Of course you can keep my jersey." He nodded, watching as she took off her shorts. The fact it left her in nothing but the jersey and lingerie was not lost on him and he didn't think he'd ever get over how hot his girlfriend was. "Damn Lopez, it's definitely been too long. Did you get hotter too?"
Santana: moved to rest on her knees while on his bed before motioning to Ryder to step closer. "Probably." She replied softly, leaning up to press a kiss to his lips.
Ryder moved further onto the bed and closer to Santana, smiling against her lips as he kissed her back. "Have I told you I missed you?" He murmured, his hands finding their way to her waist.
Santana: wrapped her arms around his neck. "Yes, once or twice." She replied before deepening their kiss. "I've missed you too. I hate that you live so far away."
Ryder returned her kiss, using his arms to gently pull her closer to him. "Tell me about it. Distance is the absolute worst. Sometimes I dream about skipping senior year and running away to New York to live with you."
Santana: wasn't expecting to love Ryder as much as she did and even though she hated the distance, she knew it was worth every second of it. "That would be amazing but we both know it's not possible." She told him softly, her right hand moving down his chest before pushing at his shirt. "We just have to enjoy every second we get together. Summer is close, we'll have three months together. Three whole months."
Ryder had never been in love before, but it felt pretty damn great with Santana and he never wanted to let that feeling go. "Are you sure? I mean who really needs to finish high school? Other than the nerds." He joked half-heartedly, knowing he needed to get through senior year no matter how much he didn't want to. "Three months with you sounds freaking amazing." He grinned. "Like it's gonna be the best summer ever."
Santana: hummed in agreement. "The best." She whispered, leaning her body into his before claiming his lips in a searing kiss. "Love you."
Ryder already had his arms wrapped around her but hugged her even tighter for a moment as she leant her body into his. "Love you too." He whispered, having already said it multiple times that night but it was something he never got bored of saying. "You're the best girlfriend ever, thanks for putting up with me."
Santana: shook her head. "I don't put up with you." She told him softly. "You're just the best person... Sweetest guy ever."
Ryder "Debatable." He chuckled softly, smiling at just how much she believed in him. "But thank you, and you're pretty sweet yourself." He replied honestly, even if not everyone got to see that about her.
Santana: "It's a secret so don't tell anyone." She told him, knowing he wouldn't rat her out. Moving away, the brunette let out a yawn before slipping under the covers of Ryder's bed. "I've missed your bed. It's so comfortable."
Ryder smiled, loving that she trusted him enough to let that side of her show in the first place. "My lips are sealed." He watched as she slipped under the covers, moving off the bed so he could ditch his jeans. He pulled off his shirt too, dropping it to the floor which left him in just his boxers. He hit the lights before walking over to the bed again, sliding under the covers next to her. "I've missed you being in my bed, it's less comfortable when you're not here." He smiled, moving in closer to her.
Santana: turned over and snuggled into Ryder side. "I like being here." She told him into the darkness of the room, pressing a kiss to his chest as her fingers traced patterns over his stomach.
Ryder "Awe I like you being here too. Cuddling myself isn't as fun." He murmured, wrapping his arm loosely around her waist as he snuggled in closer to her too.
Santana: "I didn't think this was how our night would end." She admitted with a laugh. "All snuggled up and not me, you know, riding you by now." She teased.
Ryder knew exactly what she was talking about, humming in agreement. "I didn't think it would either. But who say it's the end of the night yet? There's still time." He added teasingly, making no effort to move from the position they were currently in.
Santana: gently shoved at his chest. "Oh I see how it is, make me do all the work." She laughed. Interlacing her legs with his, the Latina ran her left hand from his stomach to the waistband of his boxers.
Ryder "Well when you put it like that..." He trailed off, ignoring her hand on his boxers as he rolled over so he was hovering over her. "You did come to surprise me, flights and stuff are a pain and you gave me yourself for the weekend, so really it's my turn to give you something." He shrugged, leaning down to kiss her before trailing kisses along her jaw and down her neck.
Santana: smiled against his cheek, parting her legs so he could rest between them. "You really should." She whispered, biting down on her bottom lip as Ryder began pressing kisses against her jawline and neck. Moving her hand in between their bodies, the brunette slipped her left hand into his boxers and wrapped her hand around his length. "But it doesn't mean I can't help you out a little."
Ryder settled in between her legs, continuing to press kisses against her neck. He smirked when he heard her, a small moan escaping his lips as she touched him for the first time in weeks. "What you're wearing is helping me already." He whispered, glancing down once again at her combination of his football jersey and lingerie.
Santana: whimpered quietly. "I'm glad you like it." She whispered, her hips rolling in an effort to feel some friction.
Ryder loved just being able to hear the noises Santana made in person, getting to make her moan for real was way more satisfying than doing it over the phone. "I do like it, I love it." He murmured. "You look so fucking hot in it." He added in a whisper, his fingers sliding under the lace of her panties to start pulling them down her legs.
Santana: raised her hips so Ryder could remove her panties without much effort. Wanting her bra gone, the brunette quickly unsnapped the back and threw it on the floor which left her completely naked under Ryder's jersey.
Ryder tossed her panties to the side, watching as she did the same with her bra. He settled in between her legs, this time sliding one of her legs over his shoulder as he buried his head between her thighs and ran his tongue over her clit.
Santana's eyes fell closed as her head tipped back into Ryder's pillow the moment she felt his mouth on her. Biting down on her bottom lip, the brunette ran her fingers through his hair as her hips rolled against his face slowly.
Ryder loved doing stuff like this with her, especially since they'd gone for so long without it with both the distance and his intimacy issues. But they always made up for lost time on these trips and he was definitely getting more confident each time around. He continued what he was doing, adding flicks and curls with his tongue to keep her on her toes.
Santana: moaned as Ryder continued to drive her crazy with his mouth. Cupping her breasts with her hands, the Latina whimpered as her thighs began to tremble. "Shit, your mouth is so fucking good." She whispered.
Ryder looked up to meet her eyes as she spoke, a small smirk crossing his lips. "Do you wanna cum San?" He asked softly, sensing she was close from the way her thighs were starting to tremble and teasingly slowing his tongue down as he dragged it across her clit.
Santana: hummed in response to his question. "So fucking badly." She groaned, her eyes falling closed as her orgasm washed through her causing her to moan Ryder's name loudly.
Ryder smiled, still not over the fact that he could make her react like she was with just his mouth. "So sexy." He whispered, pressing a few kisses to her inner thighs again before crawling back up the bed, his erection very clearly pushing against his boxers.
Santana: claimed Ryder's lips when he was level with her once more before sneaking a hand in between them to rub his cock through the material of his boxers. "Mhmm you enjoyed that too." She whispered, slipping her hand inside to wrap around his erection.
Ryder kissed her back, moaning against her lips as she began to rub him through his boxers. "Of course I did. Have you seen how sexy you are? I don't stand a chance." He whispered, his eyes falling closed as her hand wrapped around him.
Santana: smiled against his lips, her forehead leaning against his. "Tell me you have condoms." She whispered, having forgotten to pack any with her. "Because I need you inside of me."
Ryder panicked slightly when he heard her, pretty sure he hadn't bothered to buy anymore since he last saw her since he wasn't expecting to be using them for another few weeks at least. "Shit, I don't know if I have." He groaned, rolling over to pull open his bedside drawer and just finding the empty box he hadn't thrown out. "I might have some in my closet, two secs." He sighed, reluctantly getting off the bed to go look for the condoms he hoped were still stashed in amongst his clothes.
Santana: frowned and sat up as Ryder pulled away to look for protection. Watching him as he made his way to the wardrobe, she bit down on her bottom as she waited. "Any?"
Ryder dug through his clothes as quickly as he could, using the light on his phone to find the box he was looking for. "Yes!" He grinned, taking one and tossing it across to Santana. "I mean there's only two in here so we definitely need to go shopping tomorrow." He laughed, walking over and putting the other condom and his phone on the bedside table before sliding back into the bed.
Santana: grinned when he walked towards her with what they both wanted him to find. "Thank fuck." She whispered, tugging the jersey from her body so that she was laying completely naked.
Ryder "Thank fuck indeed." He murmured in agreement. "I would have been more prepared if I knew you were coming, but at least we have enough for now and some morning sex." He whispered teasingly. He watched as she ditched the jersey, his hands pulling his own boxers off to leave him just as naked as Santana.
Santana: watched as Ryder removed his boxers and a feeling she hadn't been able to place washed over her. A few months ago, he didn't even like her touching him but now they could be an intimate couple together and it made her proud that he had chosen her to trust. Sitting up, Santana wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned forward to kiss him gently. "I love you." She whispered, the pad of her thumb brushing along his jawline.
Ryder was slightly taken aback why just how gentle her kiss was and how sweet the moment was. "I love you too." He breathed, just taking a moment to soak in the feeling so he could try and hold onto it for as long as possible. He just felt so... safe and loved and he never wanted to lose that.
Santana: smiled against his lips before pressing a few heated kisses against his mouth. "Just wanted you to know." She mumbled, her eyes never leaving his. "How do you want me baby?"
Ryder could read everything he needed to know in her eyes, and he hoped it was the same for her. "Umm... how about on your back and me on top?" He suggested. He was still relatively new at sex and she had topped a lot in their early days whilst he still got used to being with someone but he was growing in confidence all the time and that now included being on top.
Santana: kissed him gently. "That sounds great." She whispered, pressing a few kisses along her jawline as her hand wrapped around his cock. "I can't wait to have you inside of me. To cum around your cock." She told him lowly.
Ryder moaned softly as her hand wrapped around him and he heard her whispering. God she was good at dirty talk. "I need that... I need you." He breathed, feeling around for the condom wrapper before grabbing it and holding it out for her. "Do you wanna do the honours?" He asked teasingly.
Santana: kept her eyes locked with Ryder's as she reached for the condom and opened it with her teeth. Pulling her stare away so she could properly ease the condom on to him, the brunette let go of Ryder's cock before running her fingers along her pussy, teasing her clit.
Ryder watched as she teased herself, moving himself into a better position as he hovered above her. He brushed his cock teasingly past her entrance a few times before leaning down to press a heated kiss to her lips as he let himself slide into her.
Santana: moaned as Ryder slowly pushed himself inside of her, the brunette's legs parting as her hips moved to send him deeper. "Yes." She whispered, moving her fingers away from her clit so she could focus on her boyfriend.
Ryder moaned softly as her legs moved and he found his thrusts getting deeper. He slowly began to pick up more of a rhythm, his hands finding their way to her breasts to try and pleasure her even more.
Santana: arched her body into Ryder's touch as he began teasing her breasts. "Use your mouth." She instructed softly, biting down on her bottom lip as his mouth wrapped around her left nipple which caused her to whimper. "Yes baby, just like that."
Ryder had no problems with Santana telling him what to do, he was still a newbie at this after all and he just wanted to make Santana feel as good as possible. He continued to rub her other breast with his hand as his lips continued to focus on the nipple they were currently wrapped around.
Santana: arched into his body, her hips rocking against Ryder's as he continued to thrust into her. Raising her right leg, the brunette wrapped it high around her boyfriend's waist causing him to sink further into her, the head of his cock hitting her g-spot. "Fuck." She groaned, pressing a few kisses to his temple since it was the only place she could reach.
Ryder loved sex. There was no denying it. It'd taken him long enough to get here with Santana but it was more than worth the wait. He knew he'd hit a good spot for her, making his thrusts harder and faster as he tried to hit it repeatedly for her. "I'm close San." He breathed, his stamina was better than it used to be but he still wasn't going to be able to hold out much longer.
Santana: ran her nails down Ryder's back as her thighs began to shake. "So am I." She whispered, moving her left hand in between their naked bodies to rub her clit. "Cum for me... You'll make me cum so hard." She whispered, her mouth opening and closing as her orgasm loomed.
Ryder felt his hips becoming more erratic, knowing he was getting even closer. A moan escaped his lips at her words, pushing him closer still to his edge. It was only a few seconds later that he lost control, his hips jerking as his orgasm hit him hard and he came.
Santana: watched as Ryder's face overcame with pleasure as his orgasm rolled through his body. Moaning, the brunette's eyes fell closed as she came hard around his cock her hips rocking to prolong their pleasure.
Ryder was seriously on cloud nine right now. He still had enough alcohol in his system to give him a buzz, he was having sex with his girlfriend and they had the whole weekend ahead of them. "Fuck that was so good." He breathed as he slowly started to come down from his high.
Santana: panted as she tried to catch her breath while coming down from her high. "So good." She agreed softly, pressing a kiss to his lips.
Ryder kissed her back, smiling against her lips. He was just so happy to have her back with him that he couldn't help it. He slowly eased himself off her, slipping out of her in the process as he reluctantly got out of the bed to dispose of the condom.
Santana: reached for her panties that Ryder had thrown on the floor and quickly slipped them back on her body. Moving into her boyfriend's side as he rejoined her in bed, Santana pressed a kiss to his chest before letting out a yawn.
Ryder grabbed his boxers on the way back to the bed, pulling them on before sliding into his bed again. "I'm so glad you're here." He whispered, wrapping his arm around her as she moved into his side. "What is the plan for tomorrow?" He asked, wondering if she had anything already in mind.
Santana: smiled softly. "I'm happy I'm here too." She whispered into the darkness of his bedroom. "No plans really. I just want to spend time with you, whatever you wanna do I'm down for."
Ryder loved that he actually got to share his bed with his girlfriend tonight rather than just dreaming she was there. Just having her there next to him was beyond awesome. "Okay well so far I have sleep off any hangover, get some food and go to the drug store for condoms." He chuckled. "Other than that, we can just go with the flow."
Santana: shook her head. " Sleep off any hangover, fuck, then get food and more condoms." She corrected with a laugh.
Ryder "Oh yeah my bad, sounds good to me." He grinned, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "This is gonna be the best weekend ever."
