To be honest, back when I didn't know too many things about Lovely Runner, I wasn't sure that the premise was going to work for me - like what do you mean a fan of a popular singer and actor is sent back to the past to save him?

Which is exactly why the twist of them having been neighbours back in highschool, with him having a massive crush on her and saving her from certain death is so delicious.

OOOOOOH the revelation that he was actually crushing on her HARD all along, I CAN'T.

I like that Lovely Runner explores briefly the theme of not remembering someone and yet still feeling their absence - in one of the previous timelines, Ryu Sun-jae buys a necklace to Im Sol for her birthday, and after she goes back in time and makes it so that they never meet, he still buys the necklace, but wears it himself.

The way Im Sol and Ryu Sun-jae are still drawn to each other like magnets, even after she essentially goes back in time and makes it so that they never meet is !!!!!
