Does anybody else think that there are a lot of inconsistencies in the last two episodes of Blind? If we are to believe the previous narrative, my verdict for Ryu Sunghoon would be NOT GUILTY, or at least not completely guilty, even though he says otherwise. And NOT because he was a victim. Some things just don’t sum up.

The most suspicious thing is a trifle: an earring Sunghoon finds in Sungjoon’s car. He compares it to the victim’s earring as if he really suspects Sungjoon. Which means: he doesn’t know who the killer is at this point.

The second most suspicious thing is how much out of character it would be if Sunghoon were the manipulative bastard he claims to be. If he had manipulated Sungjoon, why would he suddenly stop doing so? He only had to say, ‘I just wanted to see you as my brother, that’s why I called you Yoonjae’—and Sungjoon would totally go for it. Also, why didn’t he kill Ryu Ilho but provoked him (risking his own life in the process) to get him arrested if he’d planned other murders so easily?

Ruy Sunghoon, the way was portrayed in the first episodes, upright to the point of ridiculousness, would be more likely to admit he was guilty because he couldn’t stop Yoonjae and feels responsible for it, not because he was aware of his actions from the start. What Ryu Sunghoon really did was gathering the jurors. It might have been his own plan that had nothing to do with Yoonjae at first.

Yes, we see him conspiring with Yoonjae. But it’s Yoonjae’s POV. It’s the story he tells to Sungjoon. Remember: we also SAW Sungjoon as the abductor of the first victim when Jung Manchun accused him because it was Jung Manchun’s narrative. So can we really trust what we see if we see it from someone’s perspective?

I have a dilemma. I’ve got another Blind fanfic in mind, but I suspect it will have only a few hits on AO3, just like The Rest of Your Life (In Pain), simply because the fandom is so small. It’s easier to write for bigger fandoms—at least you know people will see and read your story. But at the same time, it could be something interesting… By which I mean more Ryu Sung Hoon and Ryu Sung Joon whump… So should I write it or lay it aside for now? Especially considering I have an idea for a coda to How Much Do You Like Me?, too, and need to finish an original story as well, a sequel to The Sons of Gomorrah?
