      IT WAS GOING TO TAKE A LOT MORE PRACTICE to get Jamie comfortable with it all . He’d figured out some magic on his own , but it definitely needed more work . That being said , he was a star at magic compared to his skills with a sword ––– something Nick seemed all too happy to remind him of . He’d been practicing both for a while , now , and Jamie was somewhat eager to prove himself to the other boy . ❝ C’mon ––– hit me with your best shot ! ❞

                    Nick’s  internal  body  clock  is   TOO   proficient  for  his  own  damn  good----   which  is  probably  why  Magnus  finds  his  eyes  fluttering  open  at  six  in  the  morning  as  a  result  of  the  shifting  sheets  beside  him.   Gaze  still  unfocused,   he’s  languid  in  his  movements  to  roll  over   &   push  his  forehead  against  the  other’s  shoulder,   fingertips  splaying  out  across  his  stomach.   He  usually  isn’t  one  to   ARGUE   during  the  mornings  in  which  his  lover  is  the  first  of  the  two  of  them  to  leave  the  warmth  of  his  bed,   but  the  combined  efforts  of  exhaustion  and  affection  seem  to  have  brought  out  something   SENTIMENTAL   in  him.    ❝ Don’t  leave  yet. ❞    It’s  barely  a  whisper,   but  he  knows  that  their  close  proximity  will  allow  Nick  to  hear  him  all  the  same.    ❝ Stay.   Just  a  little  longer. ❞

                    He’s  waiting  for  her----   they   BOTH   are,   really,   and  all  three  of  them  are  well  aware  that  it’s  an  astounding  rarity  for  anyone  in  his  clan  to  make  the  journey  to  the  police  station  if  the  Shadowhunters  don’t  have  some  kind  of   WARRANT . . .   which  is  why  he  knows  that  Clary  will  come  here,   eventually.   

                    She’s  always  willing  to  meet  Magnus  in   HIS   territory,   and  the  knowledge  is  likely  why  he  usually  prefers  to  deal  with   HER   over  less   ENTERTAINING   characters----   such  as  the  Herondale  boy.   James ?   Jacob ?   In  any  case,   it’s  hardly  pertinent  information  at  the  moment,   and  he’s  quick  to  push  the  thought  from  his  mind  as  a  familiar,   fiery  figure  steps  over  the  threshold  of  the  bar’s  entrance.   A  finger  lifts  to  trace  over  the  rim  of  his  glass  as  he  watches  Clary  approach  himself   &   Nick.    ❝ You  wanted  to  see  us,   BISCUIT ? ❞
