My new #GeekToy #TechToy arrived yesterday. Forget about the look (although it doesn't really look bad). This raw power. #16cores32threads #Forge15R #Ryzen3950x #NotAnAppleProduct #AftershockPC @aftershockpc slapped a desktop class CPU in a laptop and it's pretty damn awesome! It's very smooth inside a VM too even with just 4GB ram and 4 cores. For those who didn't know a 2Ghz mobile CPU is slower than desktop CPU with the same speed due to all the power management stuffs. It's all marketing! This machine cannot be stopped by how many video streams and browser tabs (yes! browser tabs) you have... Although it stopped once when the bloody Windows hanged. But it's all worth it. It costs much much less than a Mac. Apple will probably take five years to give you such a configuration and ask you to pay US$7K. Windows are much stable compared to 15 years ago. Occasional crash is okay...
