Analysis
Like her previous incarnations as an archer, Summer Lyn comes with a great offensive statline, a good PRF and a ridiculously good skill set to boot as well, so even with an undesirable IV, is hard for Lyn to not be good at her job. While being a blue archer may limit in which teams she can be in, but it also means she faces almost no competition by virtue of being a colored archer on top of being a flying archer. Being a flier also means Lyn can abuse flier exclusive skills such as
At 38 base Spd, Summer Lyn is the fastest flying archer currently in the game, and her PRF further gives her a boost, leaving her at 41 Spd at a neutral IV with no merges or buffs. Her Atk sits on the lowish side at 33, but with her Deep-Blue Bow active, Sturdy Impact, and a +6 buff from Atk/Spd Link, Summer Lyn reaches a deadly 63 Atk and 51 Spd, the defense bonus and follow-up attack negation granted by Sturdy Impact is just the cherry on top of the cake. Speaking of, Sturdy Impact is a great, if not ridiculous, skill, but maybe not the best for Summer Lyn, since she may benefit more from other offensive skills like Swift Sparrow 3, Death Blow 4, or Fury.
Deep-Blue Bow’s condition may be a bit hard to fulfill past the first engagement with the enemy since they may become damaged, but granting Lyn +4 to all stats on the first round of combat can be crucial for ORKOing the enemy or get into desperation range safely thanks to the +10 Def she gets from Sturdy Impact. For comparison, a neutral Summer Lyn has a very low defense stat sitting at 20 at neutral, but if she initiates combat with Deep-Blue Bow active, her Def raises to 34 during combat, allowing her to take at least one hit if the enemy can retaliate. Deep-Blue Bow also has armor effectiveness, which can even leave a nasty dent on green armored units.
Despite the Def boost from her base kit, it’s imperative that Lyn stays far away from archers: with her poor HP and Def, she will most likely get OHKO by even archers with the lowest Atk. Also if Lyn is not initating combat she won’t get a Def boost, so she can easily get OHKO by pretty much anything with weapon triangle advantage.
Summer Lyn prefers an asset/boon in Atk or Spd, while she prefers a flaw/bane in Def or HP.

Builds
Budget/Low Investment
Summer Lyn comes with a really good base kit straight from the box, so she requires little to no skill inheritance to make her work. Her special is flexible, but if not using the Heavy Blade seal, a short cooldown special like Moonbow is suggested. Sturdy Impact works well with her Deep-Blue Bow, but if you are looking for raw power rather than survival, it can be replaced by other offensive skills like Fury or Life and Death. Atk/Spd Link further boostes Lyn’s offensive potential but it is recommended to have this skill on a support unit, so Lyn can free her B slot and have another skill like Desperation take its place. Distant Guard allows Lyn to support her teammates, but it can be replaced depending on the team’s needs.
Her recommended sacred seals are Atk/Spd 2, Heavy Blade, Darting Blow or Brazen Atk/Spd for more offensive prowess; Flier Formation, Aerobatics or Guidance for mobility.
Brave Bow
Due to her high speed and decent attack, Summer Lyn can perfectly run a Quad-Brave Bow build. An Attack asset/boon is recommended, but not needed. This build focuses on allowing Lyn to hit her foes up to 4 times, which will let her proc Luna (provided the enemy is not using Guard), get danced, rinse and repeat. This build is great for cheesing GHB/LHB/BHB maps if Lyn is accompanied by three dancers, just like her Brave incarnation. However, unlike Brave Lyn, Summer Lyn is not a colourless archer, and the full potential of this build may be hindered by tanky green units, since Lyn’s attack will not be enough to ORKO them even if she were to proc Luna in a single round of combat, and thus she may not be as versatile as Brave Lyn. Also, getting Lyn to Desperation range can be sometimes a little difficult, considering her defenses are now mediocre thanks to Life and Death, and she will get completely obliterated by archers no matter the color, and by any high attack green physical unit that survives agaisnt her on a round of combat.
Hyper Offensive Player Phase
While these build can be expensive, they are meant to fully make use of Lyn’s firepower instead of making her a generalist. The Deep-Blue Bow can work perfectly fine with these builds if the armor effectiveness is needed.
In the first build, Lyn’s offensive stats skyrocket to 60 Atk and 50 Spd before any buffs, which will make the opponent think twice before baiting her if she is deployed in an Aether Raids defense map for example. These can go way higher if she gets her Odd Atk Wave buff, or if she is in a flier team that stacks Goad Fliers. Chill Def can be replaced by Desperation as well.
The second build makes use of the Firesweep Bow, allowing Lyn to not worry about enemy counterattacks anymore and prioritize her Atk and Spd over her defenses. Swift Sparrow 2/Life and Death can be used in place of Swift Sparrow 3, and Odd Attack Wave can be replaced with Def Smoke.
Arena Support/Utility
With the introduction of Duel skills, Summer Lyn can now be used in the higher tiers of Arena. Keep in mind though that these builds are extremely expensive, since they require inheritance from 2 limited time units (Legendary Azura and New Years Fjorm), and Summer Lyn herself is a limited time unit as well and won’t be appearing until a Legendary/Mythic Banner or until next year; thus these builds are recommended only for the very dedicated ones that really want to use their favorites in all modes.
The first build is a triple Chill set, though Chill Def can be switched for Chill Res if the bonus unit were a magic unit. This way Lyn provides support by debuffing the 3 most important stats from the enemy that can lead to secure a kill from a bonus unit.
The second build focuses on using an assist skill like Draw Back or Reposition to buff Lyn’s allies, then stay adjacent to them so she can give them over +9 Def/Res thanks to the Hama Ya and the double Spur Def/Res.
