The new promo came out and I'm hoping that his shoving Scott isn't the only time he's pissed at him and that he's only with/working with Scott to help save Lydia/the town/protect his father.

I think it could go either way. Either there's gonna be guilt tripping to get the pack back to him because he "died", or it will force Scott to realise that him "dying" was a direct effect of his own actions and that will spur him into getting his shit together and do better. I hope TW will go with the latter, but knowing them it'll be the former. Scott has never been held accountable for anything he caused or done so idk if they'll start doing that now. It kinda feels a bit too little, too late

I’m with you! Hope dies last but Teen Wolf has a whole history of letting people down and doing what fans will hate most so there’s really no way to tell what they’ll go for. It seems like a waste of time to have the whole storyline and then just turn it into another Scott praise and how the pack doesn’t deserve him but I wouldn’t put it past them to just go for that. Honestly I'm kinda happy that everything has gone to hell with Scott. Now he FINALLY has to deal with the consequences of his actions, and inactions. His pack, his friends and girlfriend are all gone as a direct result of something he did, and for once he can't put the blame on someone else. I hope the show actually makes him work hard to gain back their trust again and not just sweep it under the rug and gloss over it like they've done with Scott's fuck ups in the past.

I so agree with you! It was long time for a fallout like that and I’m praying that they use it properly and don’t just have amnesia over the hiatus or turn it around to guilt trip the pack because Scott ‘died’

I think Scott believed Theo because he still hasn't forgiven Stiles for what happened when he was possessed by the Nogitsune. Knocking Kira out, stabbing Scott in the stomach, hurting the coach, blowing up the Sheriff station, having the Oni kill Allison, etc. I think Scott deep down knows it wasn't Stiles that did those things but because the Nogitsune looked like Stiles, he has a hard time seeing them as separate being, if that makes sense? Like, he thinks of the Nogi but sees Stiles face.

Yeah I’ve heard that reasoning a couple times already. Someone said it’s the reason why Scott flinched away from Stiles. It seems like a logical explanation. But so far there wasn’t any canon mention of this. And even if it’s the truth it would still be pretty awful on Scotts side. Stiles was as much of a victim as everyone else, if not more.

Would‘ve been interesting to see how Scott would’ve dealt with Jackson after the whole Kanima stuff cause that’s practically the same situation, someone being used to harm others and then being the face that’s associated with those awful events. Too bad we won’t ever get that.

But yeah. It could be an explanation. Some people even think it goes further back and Scott blames Stiles for dragging him into the forest and ‘getting him bit’ thus starting all of the supernatural disasters. Which is also a horrible reason.

I'm genuinely confused as to how Scott was so quick to turn on Stiles? I mean, this is the guy who stepped into a puddle of gasoline with Scott, who had a flame in his hand, ready to be blown up with him (and they would've if it weren't for Lydia). The guy who stuck by Scott through everything. It seems a bit insane for Scott to believe Theo, who "joined" the pack like 9 episodes ago after not seeing Scott for a good 8 years over his best friend of over 14 years. Most people would [1]

[2] immediately defend their best friend if they were accused of killing somebody. I'd imagine it hurt Stiles a lot to think that Scott actually thought he was capable of mercilessly bashing somebody's head in with a wrench and wouldn't even take the claim of "he was going to kill my dad". Did Scott just not care that Donovan would've literally killed both him and his dad? When he didn't even bat an eye when Allison kidnapped Boyd and Erica? And stabbed Isaac? Seriously? Some friendship.

Absolutely agreed. No amount of ‘Theo was so smooth and didn’t give him a reason to doubt him’ excuses Scotts behaviour.
