Vampire knight: Renascence
I’ve been working on this project ever since VKM concluded. Think of it as: if Tifa from FF7 was born and raised in the world of Vampire Knight in place of Yuki, how would she interact with the world? She’s given the exact life Yuki had but with twists, thus she’s integrated into the story effortlessly.
So, if anyone is interested in a re-telling of the series but with a crossover heroine and a satisfying conclusion for those ZeroxHappiness lovers out there, have a look if you’re feeling up for another long haul, lol.
It’s not necessary to have prior knowledge of final fantasy characters or games to understand any aspect of the story or characters I’ve added or rearranged. I’m trying to write this in a way that it’s first-time reader friendly but prior knowledge just boost the references I make, otherwise the foreknowledge of the vampire knight narrative is perfectly adequate.
This is definitely a passion project to give Zero the ending I’ve always wanted for him, to save his character that got dismantled by the end of the series and to flesh out his side more. (His non-existent parents? That still bothers me to this day. His relationship with Ichiru? Definitely. The hunter association and its associates? YES.) I’ve planned a different plot for Kaname that doesn’t equate to him being an ancestor which might be a fun twist. In general, I wanted to also dive into a heroine that truly will be the light of the series and explore what co-existence truly means for the sub-species far more than Hino could give us. It’s an ambitious project, but I’m quite serious on making it through it all.
This will be more of a Zero/Happiness (Zefa:Zero/Tifa) story, I will admit. But any are welcome to read if they have an open mind.
