maelstrom.

seulgi was pissed off, overwhelmed. she felt like an idiot, firstly, for the disaster of a party, for running into yoongi's arms like some goddamn damsel in distress. she hated herself fort he weakness of it, for the aching foolishness, for the fact that she hadn't been able to spend a sober moment since, for fear of having to examine her own emotions, herself. so she wasn't sober, she was halfway through a bottle of wine but it wasn't enough. her blood was boiling in her veins, anxiety threatening to consume her, thick in her veins like tar. it's weighing her down, stopping up her breath, has her heart racing in her chest.
if she was a smart girl she would recognize the edges of a panic attack and stop drinking, but she numbs herself to it regardless. she downed another gulp of the wine in her hand instead, knuckles rapping fast against the familiar door before her before she yanked the knob to the side, twisting it open without pausing for a reaction from the resident, one who was fortunately rather used to this behavior.. the door opened with a slam against the wall that startled her briefly, but she shrugged it off just as quickly, shuffling into the room. she toed her shoes off, blinking fast as she stumbled in place, slinging her hand over to grip the boy's bicep, using him as leverage. he'd come, doubtless, to open the door. what a surprise it must have been, to find a half-drunk and wholly emotionally fucked up kang seulgi at his door, dark hair spilling over her shoulders as she shifted, righting herself to look over at him, snapping a quick, "don't fucking judge me oh sehun, I swear to god."
sehun had always been her go-to in situations like this. taemin can't handle his own relationship problems well enough to help her even out over hers. it was the last bit of sanity she was clinging too- by not going to taemin she demonstrated at least a tiny bit of self control. going to taemin in a state like this would mean alcohol poisoning or something equally atrocious as the two twisted souls fed off one another's instability, exacerbating it in turn. sehun, at least, might help defuse her. at the very least he would counter her, keep her in place, maybe break her down. she might appreciate that, on a day like this.
"well don't just stand there." she added grumpily, pushing at the other, prompting the overly tall, lanky familiar towards his couch. she collapsed into place against him, slung her legs over his lap and pushed the bottle of wine between her thighs to hold it in place, exhaling dramatically. "you got any drugs?" she tacked on as she thunked her head against his shoulder. "put something on tv and start drinking," the girl added reproachfully, as though he should have inferred this was the immediate plan of action, curling closer to the familiar heat of him, a frown etched between her brows.
