in shadow.

there are not a lot of people on campus to whom seulgi can unironically feel as though she is a good influence. or at least a slightly more positive influence than others, perhaps. so she likes to spend time with hyuna, to revel in the feeling of her own superiority - at least on a momentary, fleeting, and more assuredly not moralistic level. frankly, the only real high ground that seulgi has on the other is a willingness to indulge until her own erratic tendencies dissipate, and perhaps a smidge less paranoia. still, when you’re as objectively awful a person as seulgi is, you take what you can get. so when she needs to putter around the poison gardens for perfectly, perfectly innocent purposes, she is more than happy to shoot hyuna a text requesting (read: casually commanding) her accompaniment. the sun is beginning to set as she shuffles her way up to the very locked gate, fingers curling coaxing around the iron lock, whispering the incantation she certainly ought not to know but most assuredly does regardless, slipping inside as the door creaks and squeals.
she finds hyuna already waiting for her in the interior, either because she is particularly obedient or, more likely, was already in the area. she offers a grin that pulls lopsided over her lips, as if no genuine display of affection or happiness can be expressed without the stain of wryness, of irony, or of bitterness. seulgi is warped in that way, perhaps, her smiles as crooked as her heart. “hello darling.” she teases lilting as she ambles her way over to the other, slides an arm around her waist to squeeze lightly, something like a hug as she greets the other with scrunched eyes and a dimpled cheek. ‘help me find the nightshade, first? what’ve you been up too, huh?” she adds as she glances around the area, mumbles an incantation that sends a few floating orbs of light to illuminate the area. “let me know if you hear anyone coming, yea?”
