For all you Green Ember fans out there, remember Jack Zulu? The book S.D. Smith and JC published? Somebody's gotta do fanart and it might as well be me. Because those books were pretty good for a young author (not Mr. Smith, JC. It was his idea. SD did a pretty good job too). The battle scenes were pretty great, I must say. Very vivid. The last half of Girl with the Golden Wings had me flipping pages like the wind.
Anyway. This sassy elf guy is named Banda (if you couldn't tell), and he was my favorite character IN THE SERIES. He had like a scene and a half of screen time. Tops. And he might be dead. Because everybody was dying in that book. But he's still my favorite character. I sent an urgent letter to Mr. Smith containing my anxiety about this character, pleading on his behalf as if he were a real person in mortal peril. I don't know if I got through, but I've done my duty 🫡
