The wedding was in three weeks and Seth needed to separate himself from the preparations. It had been a lot to work with and the closer that they got the the wedding, the more and more he was beginning to doubt himself. He loved his fiance but the planning process had brought out a side to her that he was not a fan of. He had left their apartment to get some fresh air, walking around downtown to clear his head. It was all so frustrating. Already, his family had failed at hiding their distaste of choice in a partner and his friends were placing make-believe bets on how much longer it could last before it fell apart. There was no one supporting him and now he was doubting himself. He sighed as he walked along, mind so clouded that he wasn’t watching where he was going. His shoulder accidentally bumped into another person and he was shaken awake, holding onto the other’s shoulders for stability. “Oh sorry about that, that was... Maya?” he said wide eyed. He hadn’t seen the girl who had once been his best friend for a little over a decade and it was as though no time had passed at all.
