Making my oc's bedrooms in the sims, when im planning to write a book with them, was more helpful than I thought it would be

ran out of time (need sleep) to do all 7 of them but I got 3 done:

I made picrews of my S.E.R.P. WIP cast, just place holders untill i have the time (& spoons) to draw them:

from left to right, top to bottom:

Conner, Dell, Kaz, Phoebe, Ezra, and River. All our main cast.

Graham, Ezra's uncle, and the primary support character for the cast.

Some more important side charicters:

Arlet: The Employer of our cast, Sherwyn: a repeated helper of our cast, and Hudson: Dell's dad.

Who wants to read the notes i've made on my transformation abilities for my WIP?

Too bad im showing them anyways:

generally the animal one can become is tied to their personality and behaviors in day to day life.

there are mild restrictions;

when it comes to creatures who have different patters depending on the chromosomes they have, the transformation will be based off the persons body not identity.

this means if someone has a calico-patterned cat as their transformation, they need the xx in order to have that specific patterned cat as their transformation.

so if a guy has the calico as their transformation, either he's trans or intersex.

it has to be a type of mammal. because humans are mammals so they can only turn into other mammals.

they can only transform into animals that have 4 or more limbs.

those who are not born with these abilities, can gain them when wearing a specific type of manufactured crystal, a Clavallus, often formed into jewelry for the user. this material is highly controlled.

there are weaker versions which can be used as a party gag for people to find out what animal they'd be able to become if they ever got their hands on a real one.

its also used for teachers of those who's powers haven't kicked in yet, letting them know what their student will become.

those who need the object to transform look semi translucent & unnaturally colored when transformed. due to it being from an artificial form of the magic. They look like they're made of glass to an extent.

those born with it will be fully solid.

they're fur will be the same color as their hair, even if dyed

the eyes will remain the same

the clothes will not appear but do not get damaged/fall off. they magically become part of the transformation, leaving a slight imprint of the clothing colors and patterns on the fur

^this applies to the object transformations too

partial transformations are possible.

meaning people can just transform a hand or their feet if they wish, even just transforming there face, or just their eyes or ears.

and if a person, who was born with the ability, is not properly taught how to control the powers or has some type of mental issue that cause issues with emotional regulation & fight or flight senses. then there is a possibility that involuntary transformations can happen.

after the first transformation the individual tends to acquire some subconscious habits of the animal they became.

ex: if they're a wolf, they may bear their teeth when annoyed, if they're a cat they might hiss or wipe at their face like a cat would (apart from the licking)

there is another manufactured crystal, a Clatent, that can be worn on those who have abilities but also have issues that will conflict with the abilities (ptsd, bipolar, physical disabilities that don't translate into animal bodies well), its like a 'training wheel' setting for the powers and just dilutes them.

intended to be used on training little kids who have big emotions

but also used on adults who ask for them, or who are prescribed them.

Also, adults can have their powers removed if they wish. there is a necessary psychologist assessment before it can happen.

the born ability to become an animal is quite rare, about 0.4% of the world population has the ability. but due to the magic that allows anyone to transform its not seen as rare by most people.

the transformations are relatively larger than the natural animal itself.

so each animal can be the regular size to about 1ft 8in taller than they're usual counterparts.
