Negan slowly circled the person who had earned his displeasure. Already roughened up a bit, they were kneeling on the dirty floor. Negan was casually swinging Lucille in his hand as he looked down on them with cold eyes. 

“I can just see the inscription on your grave”, he said. “*Here lies the maggot who thought that today was the day.” He stopped in front of his victim an knelt down to eye level. He put a finger under their chin and tilted their face up. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t just put you on the wall.”

He was having a bad day. He was tired to the core, and the old grief and guilt was was weighing on him. Normally he would have come with some snide remark when he noticed Simon coming into the shower with him, but instead he sighed heavily gave Simon a tired look. If Simon looked closely he could see the pain in them that Negan didn't do much to try to hide. "What do you want?"

it wasn’t often he was alone out, but for once Negan felt like he needed a break from having people around him. He needed to blow off some steam and what better way than to kill some walkers? He swung Lucille in wide arches and took strange satisfaction when the bat connected, spraying blood and gore as heads were smashed in and walkers fell. He was so caught up in the carnage that he didn’t notice that he was approached by someone living.

Negan: biggest asshole in the history of assholes, enjoys being offensive and push people’s buttons.  Also Negan: is the best, obedient lil sub you could wish for

When you accidentally create an AU in which Negan and the Saviors starts going down the path to redemption and are on their way to build an actually good community thanks to a vampire nobleman who casually asks Negan if maybe they should bring back the aristocracy.

In the verse where Negan has a serial killer for an identical twin brother, I’m lowkey wondering now if Negan ever was approached by people who were huge fans of his brother who genuinely thought that Negan was him.
