I finally finished Power Rangers SPD! I put my power ranger watch on hiatus once I started then finished the X-files, but now I finally finished it. My thoughts. ~ I feel like the season had a lot of heart to it it made me appreciate it, and is definitely why this season has a lot of fans to it in particular ~ Bridge is adorable <3 ~ I was pretty mixed about the ending honestly (the men get to promote colors but the girls don’t?) but all the fighting sequences were amazing ~ Nova Ranger got so little use she was only really there for “what could have been”.  ~ Kat only getting to use a “one time morpher” sucked, but I’m glad the episode itself was great. Too bad she couldn’t have like copied its data or something to use for the finale, or the crossovers with Dino Thunder for 1 additional ranger. ~ Syd and Z unfortunately start to fade into the back in the second half of the show, particularly Syd. Z still gets some focus scenes and fights but Syd just almost completely is just moving pretty background which I felt like was really unfair to the girls. The guys got like 2-3 focus episodes in the second half of the series and the girl rangers had to piggy back on whatever scenes they could get from those. Syd’s only major focus in the second half was her clips in the clip show. If I have to say though, they still got treated far better than the women in Samurai and Megaforce but it doesn’t take much to surpass that. ~ The season had technically the most exclusive female rangers to it’s time at four but they never got to team up. *sob* ~ EXPLOSIONS! BOOM CRACKLE BLUSSHSHSH!!!!?@??@? *screen breaks* ~ Yay! The first female red range- annnnd she’s evil. However though I will say the U.S managed to beat Japan to having a female red ranger in some capacity. And I wish everyone behind power rangers one day both in U.S and Japan will make a full season female Red Ranger happen (and a male Pink Ranger but full season female Red is my priority dream and must happen). I do know the SPD Director did try to get a female Red Ranger this season but was laughed off at the idea to the point some of the higher ups even joked to fire him, so he went for having another poc male Red ranger, and tried to include a female Red in a different way. ~ Sam is the most...in the background Sixth Ranger. If anything I’m glad Syd and Z while having less focus in the second half still was actually there for stuff.  Overall: I enjoyed the season, it’s not without its flaws like with Ninja Storm. Although I enjoyed it better than NS. Next: I’ll step into the mid era Disney seasons of the show with Mystic Force than Operation Overdrive often considered the weakest power ranger seasons, but I’ll see for myself how I view them.
