HERE I COME WITH EIGHT NEW OCS EVERYBODY GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!
So as I once mentioned in an older post, Juno is part of the Fatui‘s Special-Research-Team, short: S.R.T..
But what is their job? Now, of course the Fatui harbors a variety of researchers, scientists, doctors etc but like the name already suggests- they‘re not exactly of the ordniary kind. Whether it be their person or their field of research, anything that requires knowledge that’s not exactly found in your ordinary library (or is in general newly invented stuff) gets sent over to the S.R.T..
The team currently consists of… eight members including Juno so let me give you a quick dive into each of them and what they specify in!
Juno should already be known to you, she specializes in abyssal corruption, poisons and khaenri’ahn runes.
Then we have her godfather Eilif which I also briefly mentioned in this post some days ago. He doesn’t have a strict topic he specializes in and is more or less the head of the team (even tho they don’t have a strict hierarchy and everyone works on their own stuff).
Next on the list is Talia. Talia is the kind of woman you‘d never expect to hurt even the smallest fly. She‘s not sweet looking by any means, she just radiates this kind energy only for her laboratory to harbor the maybe most gruesome and horrific homunculus you will probably ever witness. It also isn’t rare for Harbingers to send over any traitors to her for a little… lesson!
The next two members are a set of twins actually! Aarush and Bhanu specialize in leyline research, how they work together with Irminisul, how they affect their surroundings and how they can be eventually utilized to the Fatui’s advantage. From their personalities they’re actually not much different from each other, they also don’t really look alike! Their lab is also the one that’s gets blown to pieces at least once a month, nobody even enters anymore if they want to keep their head. There also isn’t a single person in the organization that dislikes them. Everybody loves them.
Next we have Anselm! Anselm‘s main field are actually the delusions! While he isn’t the one who invented them, he is researching them, constantly modifying them and looking for new reasons to piss of the heavens. Others call him pessimistic while he only „stays realistic“ in his own words. Not the kindest person in the team since he likes to swing around his cane (a very deadly cane) when arguing with someone but if you want an honest opinion- you go to Anselm.
For the next one we have Maelle, she focuses heavily on special prosthetics for soldiers of the Fatui and not just any prosthetics. Those things are deadly. By the looks of her you‘d probably expect her to find her rather in a garden while singing to her flowers but then the smell of oil and Metall that constantly clings to her clothes hits you.
Maelle also works closely together with our next victim Remi and not only because Remi has a prosthetic arm herself (and they are childhood lovers friends) but because Remi is responsible for the Fatui‘s weaponry and armory, which also includes the creation of substances that increase physical strength, wound healing etc. any weapon in the organization gets carefully constructed by her before sent off into mass production. Remi herself needs strong painkillers because her arm is constantly paining her, which she gets regularly injected from Juno.
Now a bit to the internal stuff. Get ready for doomed yuri. Maelle is actually married to a man despite her being lesbian. She comes from a long fontainian lineage of doctors and scientists and got set up early with her husband. Remi on the other side is the daughter of a well-known and very highly respected (but retired) Fatui General. Their fathers are close friends which led to them basically spending their whole childhood together until he went back to Snezhnaya with Remi in their teenager years- but Maelle quickly followed. Remi was always- and I mean always- aware of her feelings for Maelle while the blonde girl was in denial for a very long time. It is always family first for her. Which in her case meant setting her obvious love for Remi aside and marrying her now-husband.
There was a time before the wedding where they constantly met up behind everyone’s back, until Remi eventually realized that she was simply too scared to defy her family in favor for the relationship. They argued a lot about it actually, until they completely stopped interacting if it weren’t for the maintenance of her prosthetic. She ignored her monthly appointment at Mae‘s laboratory until the day before her wedding when she suddenly stood in her doorway, groaning and almost crying from pain. And Remi never cries. That evening she poured her whole heart out to Mae for one last time, begging her to call the wedding off. Only for her to wake up in a cold bed the next morning. A single note laying on the pillow beside her.
Maelle got married on that day.
idk if you can tell but I’m a sucker for sad lesbian stories, stay tuned for more pookies
