Loop And if one day, no matter what you do, everyone's paths and yours diverge... Loop You'll have to learn to be okay with it. Loop We can't... We can't do this again. Loop Hold them hostage, against their knowledge, against their will, just because we're lonely. Loop Learning to talk to them... Learning to let go... Loop It'll be hard. It'll feel impossible. You might think you'd rather die than share how you feel. Loop After all, isn't bottling things up the reason you managed to break the loops? Loop You didn't have to tell them anything until the very end, and it turned out fine, didn't it? Siffrin (...) "But..." Siffrin "But if I had talked to them earlier, then maybe..." Loop Yeah, dummy. If only you had been strong enough to talk to them, maybe this whole story wouldn't have happened at all.
this quote from loop is definitely a big part of where people get the "the party has to part ways eventually" from. but crucially, loop says "if". and it's not just "if you happen to go different ways" — it's "if, no matter what you do, your paths diverge". and that's what people tend to forget.
it's okay to stay together. it's okay to want it, and it's ok to fight for it!!! and it's not just ok to fight for it, it's vital. you have to talk about it. it's hard and scary and takes a lot of work, but you can't keep them hostage — you have to ask them to stay, instead.
like loop says, staying means accepting the risk that it will end. but staying also means choosing to put in the work and fight for the hope that it WILL last for the rest of their lives, despite the risk that it won't.
what are you looking at. ain’t you ever seen a star and their time clone canoodling
✨💖✨💖✨
the fellas are- 😳 oh my…..
siffrin several times a day post-canon
got em
post-canon scenario where loop doesn't look like a star anymore but also doesn't look all too much like siffrin. and joins the party like that. and doesn't really want to be connected to either of those past identities. siffrin's like hi i met this person while i was out buying bread can they come with us?? everyone's like. um. well. i guess....??
