Act #7: Love With Your Heart.

So Valentine's day just passed, and quite frankly, I'm one those people who think of this day as nothing less of a Hallmark holiday. The way I see it is why do we need to declare one specific day to express our love? I mean, shouldn't that be something done on a daily basis regardless? Valentine's day shouldn't been any different.
But that doesn't necessarily mean no, don't do anything for Valentine's day (sounding a little hypocritical here, but bear with me). I mean, in spirit of the "holiday", the least one could do is acknowledge it. But, again, the way I see it, why only be extravagant with your love only on this day? If you truly love someone, any day can be Valentine's day. I mean, personally, as a hopeless romantic myself, it would be nice for my significant other to plan something of the romantic sort on this special day. But what would really make me fall head over heals for him is if he was about to pull off the Valentine's day fiasco on any day on the calendar. In essence, it's the little things in life that makes it worthwhile. Not following the trend, although, it's still nice to receive some sort of small gesture.
And the thing is, people often get so caught up with the attitude of finding a Valentine on Valentine's day that they forget the true meaning behind such day. Love.
Some of us become so caught up with the aspect of finding someone to be apart of our lives that we often forget the true concept of love. I've been guilty of it myself. Yes, perhaps we want to be able to find someone that can shower us with affection. But what's important to remember is that feelings are something money can't buy. Lesson: Don't take things for granted.
There is no reason to find the need to rush into love. It's not something that's build instantly, but rather, an essence that's developed through time and patience. And each step towards acquiring love is just so essential to build the everlasting foundation of love for the years to come. Cherish the moments you have and seek for love in the experiences you take. There's no need to jump into it.
Because I honestly believe that if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. There's no need to force something out of nothing. There's no need to force yourself to love something when you do not. Lesson: Don't just settle.
Because when it comes down to it, finding what you truly love and doing what you genuinely love will allow you that sense of happiness that warms the heart ever so dearly. And then you'll be closer to living happily ever after.
So don't find the need to rush. Take it slow. Because the best things in live take time to grow and nurture. And true love is nothing less of that. Don't feel obligated to rush into love just because everyone around you is falling in love. Live by your own schedule. Trust. God's got somebody for you. The time's just not right yet. Lesson: Be patient.
