actually i have to go back to discussing the season 21 opening lmao because it's ripped from the headlines in the sense that the victim is inspired by bill cosby but the subtext is that he deserves to die for what he did. basically said there wasn't a headline about this so i'll do it myself. love that for him

"if it's legal, it's ethical" - incredible statement from jack mccoy on police lying to suspects. i can't even believe they had him say those words cause that's an insane stance. not even one i think is consistent with his character. like i think he'd be fine with police lying but he should certainly be more nuanced than that. also i think price is far more endearing in s21. i was missing out on his characterization as kind of a bleeding heart. as much as a prosecutor can be anyway. kinda like serena southerlyn though they got her ass out the paint quick because of it lol
