CULTURAL DRESSES

Sul sul! Here are some more clothing default replacements. There are other cultural outfits I will be defaulting, but here is what I got for now! All are compatible with each other and you should be able to pick-and-choose for most of them. Please click “read more” for credits and other important information about each default!

All images are taken in Body Shop only, for ease of time. I have tested all defaults in my copy of Ultimate Collection on my laptop, but please let me know if there are any issues. I am still new to default clothes!

Categorized as Everyday Only. Sandals shoe sound. Requires The Sims 2: University.

Replaced with SkittlesSims' 4t2 Conversion of Maxis' EP10 Yukata. The swatches are different for TF & AF, but they are combined since they are otherwise the same default. I can separate them at request. The AF version is enabled for YF/EF. Categorized as Everyday & Formal. Sandals shoe sound. Disabled for random. They require The Sims 2: Bon Voyage.

Replaced with BOTH @jellymeduza's 4t2 Conversion of Maxis' European Folk Apron Dress AND @jellymeduza's Elder Conversion of their 1t4t2 Makin' Magic Dress (as in, both in one file. Same outfit, two different meshes). It requires The Sims 2: Apartment Life. The half replaced with the European Apron replace "blueskirt", "brownskirt", "whiteskirt", "blackskirt", and "yellowskirt". It uses the AF mesh, so it is enabled for YF/AF. The flags are untouched (unhidden but stll disabled for random), boots shoe sound, categorized as Everyday only. The half replaced with the Makin' Magic dress replace "greentop", "greenskirt", "pinktop", "purpleskirt". It uses the EF mesh, so it is only available for EF (I do plan on using the AF ones in a different default). Unhidden, but not townified. Barefoot sound, Everyday. NOT repositoried to my Matchmaker default in any shape or form, so you can download them separately.

efbodygypsy & efbodygypsy_ep7

Replaced with @jellymeduza's Elder Conversion of their 1t4t2 Makin' Magic Dress, with a personal edit of mine combined from @alienara-simblr's Recolours. "efbodygypsy" is the orange swatch I edited with alienara's textures in order to match the original colour scheme, and "efbodygypsy_ep7" is the purple swatch from jellymeduza's original conversion. Both unhidden, untownified, barefoot sound, everyday category. Requires The Sims 2: Freetime. DISCLAIMER: These defaults are named after what the files are unfortunately called in The Sims 2. The game was released in 2004, so the terminology is outdated. I have kept the names as is so its clear to the user what game files it replaces, and so it is easier for people to find. I would not use the word in any other context.

TOURGUIDE

Sul sul! Here are some default replacements for afhairhattourguide. All require The Sims 2: Bon Voyage in order to work. Available for Adult and Elder Female Sims only. They are unlocked, but disabled for random/not townified. All have been tested on The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection & The Sims 2: Legacy Collection.

afhairhattourguide_fareast

Replaced with @hazelpuff's 4t2 Conversion of Natalia-Auditore's Yun Hair. The polycount is the same as the original. I swapped out the brown swatch for the darker swatch from the original TS4 ver.

afhairhattourguide_mountain

Replaced with @hazelpuff's 4t2 Conversion of CandySims4's Freya Hair. The polycount is the same as the original (~11k). I swapped out the brown swatch for the darker swatch from the TS4 ver.

afhairhattourguide_tropical

Replaced with @nervosposts's 4t2 Conversion of simstrouble's Shaye Hair. The polycount is the same as the original (16k).

TOWEL TURBAN

Sul sul! Here are some default replacements for afhairtowelturban. I wanted to keep the bath theme a bit, but I wanted to include some head scarves for inclusivity to my defaults! The white towel default works both as a bath towel and as a cultural wrap, I chose the colour variations with this in mind. I think I made all of them disabled for townies, but the hijab should be disabled for cultural appropriateness (to prevent any randomly generated townies breaking dress rules).

All are available for adults & elders. They require The Sims 2: Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff in order to work. All have been tested on both Ultimate Collection and Legacy Collection.

Replaced with @memento-sims' 4t2 Conversion of Maxis' City Living Wrap High. The polycount is the same as the original (not listed, but it is low to medium poly if I recall correctly). The white and black towel swatches were both edited by me.

Replaced with @platinumaspiration's 4t2 Conversion of Maxis' Businesses & Hobbies Hattie Hair. The polycount is the same as the original (3475 poly, I think unanimated).
