I don't think Hermie was mad out of jealousy. I think he was mad because maybe the version of him that normal kissed was dressed up and in character. Like maybe when he said "but it wasn't me" he meant that non-literally. It wasn't him, it was an act. A performance. Maybe he thought normal was the only one who really saw through it all. Saw the real him. And he felt betrayed because normal conjured up a version of him that he perceived to be in character. As if normal doesn't really want the real him.
