Newest episode thoughts:
So, I kinda love the "All Star" parody intro. It's heartbreaking, but very good. The parodies this season have been amazing.
Interesting that Willy tells Scary to go with the adults. I guess he really doesn't trust her to control her friends. And he knows the kiddads won't hurt her and that the collars make them do what he wants.
The combat was more of a formality than anything else. I think they found a good balance of goofiness, the necessity of combat to get through enemies, and character beats. Normal's rage, Sparrow's concern, and Scary and Linc's single-mindedness really came through.
All of these kids, minus Taylor, just seem so broken at the end. Normal is done. Linc is done. And Scary is grieving. Feels a bit like the end of episode 31 after their big fight. These poor kids just need a break. But...
Now that they've broken the last anchor, where do we go next? Clearly, we're still processing the death of Terry Jr. and I wonder if that will get further addressed. They're not out of the woods yet. But the last anchor has been destroyed. So now what? Is this season going to be significantly shorter than the other? Or is something else about to drop?
And is the endgame just gonna involve a big fight with a powered up Willy? The Doodler? I'm really trying to figure out where this season is headed and I'm just not sure.
What I do know is that this was an amazing episode. Love it when this silly show makes me feel things. I'm excited to see where we're headed next.
