A useful clip from the latest Adventuring Academy given the recent discussions of history with respect to Campaign 4.
my favorite flavor of brennan poses
Our boy does this all the time. He just did it in yesterday's adventuring academy!
a new renaissance paint is born
Ah yes, the famous proverb. See no evil, hear no evil, smell no evil.
Rewatching Episode 30 (for like the ten millionth time but IN MY DEFENSE MY UPCOMING D&D CAMPAIGN IāM RUNNING TAKES PLACE IN A WORLD INSPIRED BY ARAMAN!) and in addition to marveling at the work Vaelus did I am mourning Hannan like crazy.
Brennan was building ground throughout episodes 29-31 for Hannan to become a tried and true NPC ally to this party. Shortly before the start of Koātherai he acknowledges his rivaling beliefs with Vaelus but when he notices that sheās starting to question her faith in Sylandri he shifts his focus.
During the Destroying of the Stone, Hannan is VERY confused as to what is happening but he doesnāt try to stop Vaelus. Even if itās a mechanical thing, he is a VERY powerful Druid. When Ashley was taking her time making a choice, Brennan could have EASILY had Hannan step in to try and choose BUT HE DIDNāT! Not ONLY because Brennan is a good GM but it simply would not be something Hannan would do!
ONE OF THE LAST THINGS HANNAN SAID TO VAELUS WAS āgo where your heart tells youā WHICH YES COULD HAVE THE SURFACE MEANING OF āeither go with me or donāt itās your choiceā BUT ALSO CONSIDERING HIS EARLIER WORDS OF HOW HE WOULD BE WITH HER ON THE JOURNEY TO FREE HER FAMILY NO MATTER HOW LONG AND HARD?! IT COULD ALSO MEAN THAT HE IS SUPPORTIVE OF WHICHEVER PATH THIS NEW QUESTIONING OF HER FAITH TAKES HER ON!
I donāt know man I just miss him, okay? I MISS HIM A LOT! HE HAD MAYBE A HANDFUL OF EPISODES COUNTING SEEKERS AND CONVERGENCE AND HE HAD THE EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF A PC! AND NOW HEāS JUST GONE!
I miss him too.
And knowing Brennan... He'll probably come back as some undead monstrosity to rip out our hearts later. They did leave his body with the Tachonis...
5 years after a mediocre finale, and YouTube has decided to remind me how much I love Supernatural.
I guess it's time to rewatch all 15 seasons? Gotta love a hyperfixation revival.
Sorry but it's not complete without...
This is beautiful

Iron Lung thoughts. Spoilers ahead.
So, I finally rented Iron Lung last night.
First off, I have to say congrats to Mark for making me forget it was him on screen. I really thought it was gonna be an awkward watch and it wasn't at all.
Second, very nice job grossing me out at the end there. I don't watch as much horror these days and my stomach was turning at the end. Had to distract myself with something else for the last 20 minutes or so.
I didn't realize until later, reading some things on tumblr, a realization that I think I was supposed to happen during the movie that is super cool in hindsight. When he takes a picture of what he thinks is a skeleton, it's actually this creature, but at the moment we don't know that he's taking x-rays.
I'm all for a movie with some ambiguity, and the ambiguity of the ending doesn't bother me very much, but this is a moment that I think could have been hammered in differently so that I had that realization during the movie. Since the people at the station knew it was x-ray, I don't know why they didn't comment on an actual thing being down there.
Also, I've seen complaints about the audio mix, and apparently that was a theater specific thing, but I also struggled sometimes just watching on YouTube on my computer. I turned on the closed captions almost immediately, but the captions didn't seem to include all of the dialogue, so I was still missing some pieces.
Overall, this was a good horror experience and I'm glad I watched it. I can't wait to see what Mark makes next.
Thaisha has an awkward question for Sir Julien...
Iām absolutely DYING. THIS IS PERFECTION. š„¹
