@scorrigan Saw your post about VIP and wanted to continue the discussion. Hope you don't mind. feel like Adrian's responses being "new things are coming" or "this is a great deal" and only that before absolutely no response for about two weeks is another thing that kicked the VIP stuff in the teeth.
Frankly it would've also helped if they'd been at least somewhat upfront with us a couple months ago. Maybe a "hey these VRs are kind of expensive even without the pandemic and not many people enter them. As sad as it is we may need to add a tier above Abel's Runner Club that gets exclusive access to VRs. This is a decision we'd rather not have to make and we are looking for other options but if we don't find them, at least you know what to expect".
The discount code and other bonuses for VIP not being decided yet are another thing that probably didn't help. At least, the discount hadn't been decided, not until fairly recently. But I imagine a 20% discount four times a year (and current lack of ability to gift VR entries or buy them as one-offs) isn't endearing VIP to anybody over on the private race forum.
The whole "Jack and Eugene race being VIP exclusive" announcement seems like it only threw fuel on the fire. Let me know if you're not up for continuing the discussion by the way. Things are hard right now. I don't want to make them harder on anyone unnecessarily.
