For your consideration, Sweet Tooth fandom?
Fun little Sweet Tooth detail I just realized is that Gus is always pictured wearing a button up or something with a very big neckline because they're easier with his antlers
do you think Gus doesn’t shed his antlers because he’s part human?? always bugged me that he’s shown to have the regular antler growth cycle (velvet in the flashbacks during ep 1, more points as he grows) but he never sheds. idk if i’m thinking too literally here haha
This has always bugged me too. I thought for sure once they showed Gus' antler growing back in / or at least continuing growth after the one got cut off, that it was plausible or even expected that he'd have the shedding too. And, I guess just because they never show it on screen doesn't mean it never happens? But what with what happened to Munaq I'm certain this unfortunately means we know the true answer, that neither of them are capable of shedding and consequently regrowing entire antlers. Even though they should be. I digress.
Strictly speaking humans arent known for their regenerative ability, so growing a new set of antlers for Gus as he's definitely more human than on the animal side just might be too taxing to be possible. Perhaps if he were leaning more animalistic, like Bobby or the Wolf Boys, it'd be different? Still, though, it's sad that they didnt lean into what they started by having him have normal antler growth otherwise. It could've been used as such a hopeful plot point for Gus, realizing that nothing done to his antlers is really permanent and that it'll all come back one day. (Or, I suppose, that's maybe why they didn't; they needed a way to drive deep the cruelty of humanity, and show that the wrongdoings of man against hybrids- man against Munaq and Gus specifically- is permanent, ftmp)
could we see your take on sweet tooth!bart???? 🥺
You COULD see my take on Sw2th!Bart, ORRRR... you could see @mystsiiver 's instead >:)
Our Sweet Tooth AU/crossover is actually being worked on by three people!! And Zenith ^^ is in charge of all or most of the relevant speedsters :D (because he IS the Speedster Enthusiast in this workshop)
And thiiis is his concept for Bart!!
He's an african cheetah hybrid leaning more on the animalistic side. Lookat those lean muscles and powerful cheetah legs, perfect to speed with!! As in this AU it's also a no-powers AU (sad), Bart still manages to be one of the fastest of them all.
He's one of the hybrids who's been taught to and has the vocal cords to speak human language, but sometimes his mind moves too fast for his mouth to catch up and he ends up meowing instead.
I'm curious about your Dr. Singh pmv ideas! What songs do you think you'd use?
⚠ Warning: Spoilers !!
Anon (and anyone reading) I have no idea how far in or if you've finished the show yourself so this is my proper heads up that there will be spoilers below!
Shaking the Sweet Tooth fandom by the shoulders. Do you want to hear about my many Dr Singh PMV ideas. Please. Looks at you with my big ole eyes
I think Gus should have scarred palms and lots of little scars on his knees. Little guy grew up clambering around a forest and a stream, no way he didn't scrape himself to hell and back.
That day that Gus made the leap across the stream and landed it for the first time signified the day he said goodbye to Pubba but also the day he bet on never scraping his palms on those stones ever again.
This is a bet he ends up breaking at the end of Season 3 in the most significant way.
