Cold Case is the 19th episode of the Second Season, and the 41th episode overall.

Nothing makes me happier than a VinCat on the offensive, working together and being on the same page and that’s just what we got in this episode. As our team, with JT noticeably and regrettably absent (because he’s mysteriously gone to Boston), tries to turn the tables on Gabe, things are complicated by the surprise return of Catherine’s sister Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson). She is in town to share the exciting news of her engagement and, conveniently, she happened to be part of that “cold case”. It involved Vincent saving Heather from a mobster who then was violently disposed of by Gabe in the aftermath, during season 1. At the beginning of episode we got a daytime rooftop scene and we find Cat and Vincent musing just how much it feels like they're right back to where they were when they first started dating at the moment. I mean: Cat was still lying to Heather, needing Tess to cover for her and Vincent is once again the focus of a task force out for blood and needing to hide. Cat and Tess got suspended to show us just how far Gabe is willing to go to ‘keep Catherine safe’ and away from Vincent. Gabe has stepped up his quest to capture and eliminate Vincent by not only tailing Catherine non-stop, but by taking her professional authority and resources away through suspension. Well, as Catherine will say....once a beast, always a beast. I love that gummy worms are pretty much characters themselves in the show! Every scene with gummy worms is fantastic and quite hilarious. I'm pretty sure that Vincent is gonna acquire a phobia of helicopters: first he gets taken away in one in "Never Turn Back", then in Catherine's apartment when he has to flee in "Beast Is The New Black", then, in this episode, at the beginning on the roof and then, in the night, at the end, on the roof top (hot) scene! Enough with helicopters!😀
