picard s3 spoilers (surrender deleted scene discussion)

okay this is less of a discussion more of a "I noticed a thing and it made me miserable" but since watching the deleted scene this bts pic sprung to mind,

I wondered why they had the paintings if they were never used but since finding out about that scene makes me think they grabbed a bunch and picked whichever was best for the scene but. dude. the fact that they probably considered having data give lore the painting of lal (INSANE BTW.) immediately made me think of juliana finding out about her the EXACT SAME WAY :(((

I like what they narrowed everything down to though. not using data's medals n stuff made sense, replacing the painting of spot with spot herself was nice. I liked this episode a lot :,) (im acting like I didn't genuinely burst into tears the second data pulled the Nothing and Everything card)
