Are you Just A Pancake?
God, I wish.
If it's not too much trouble, can you give me a quick primer on the Warner!Doctor?
Sure.
The basic idea of the character comes from the Unbound audio Sympathy for the Devil, the premise of which being that the Master gets exiled to the UNIT era instead of the Doctor. Warner, basically, is an alternative universe Third Doctor.
In Sympathy for the Devil, the Master does a lot of expectedly awful stuff in Hong Kong, and the Doctor sort of sorts that out and leaves with the Brigadier. They travel together for a bit, as portrayed in Masters of War.
Sometime between that and The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield series 3, he stops travelling with the Brigadier and becomes involved in some kind of war that is suggested to have wiped out the Time Lords, analagous to the Time War. Furthermore, that universe is in the process of dying out. I don’t know how much plot to explain as I presume you’re interested in listening to that yourself, but I’d be happy to expand on that.
As a character, he’s a bit of a grumpier, snarkier, more unpredictable incarnation. He usually means well, but can be very selfish, very impulsive, and very rude. In the Bernice Summerfield audios in particular, they play up the question of whether he is or isn’t like the Doctor we know, pushing at the differences through his and Bernice’s arguments. James Goss, one of the writers for the Benny audios and current producer of the range, described his characterization as like a “hungover Hartnell,” to give you an idea of the kind of approach with the character.
Hope that helps. If you want more specific details, I’d be happy to help.
Idea for Kairi!Coded AU #1: moving the site of the journal digitization to Radiant Garden. Kairi could meet the HBRC folks and begin recovering her memories. Tron, then Yori could help Kairi navigate the system sectors. Then the digitization machine breaks and they have to go to Twilight Town to recover Ansem's equipment. It also gives Kairi a chance to meet with HPO again and collect all of Namine's drawings.
(ask continued) idea 2: Data Riku apologizing to Kairi for KH1 and them discussing their shared hurt.
OOOHH i like the idea of kairi going to radiant garden, considering that was her original home. and kairi talking with Data!Riku. tbh this series is sorely lacking in the riku-kairi friendship.
I’m not sure who/what you mean by “Yori” and “HPO” though but I like the idea of Kairi collecting Namine’s drawings! When I first started brainstorming, I didn’t want to take out Jiminy’s Journal since I like the idea of Namine being able to rewrite not just memories, but coding as well (she’s very adept at it too, considering how she made Data!Riku). I imagined Kairi reacting to touching Jiminy’s Journal, getting visions of all the people that were hurt. Maybe she could remember Radiant Garden, then ask Sora & co. to take her there. Hacing Kairi collect Namine’s drawings would open up really cool storytelling possibilities as Kairi might end up “remembering” or experiencing the memories of Xion and Namine, particularly about the event in CoM and Days.
I was also thinking about having a Data!Kairi playing the role of Data!Sora, but have Xion (hooded) act in Data!Roxas’ role, with Data!Namine taking up Data!Riku’s role as well (she presents herself as a hooded figure but she reveals herself in her usual white dress). I def like your idea better though, since Kairi actively takes control and chooses to explore the mysteries herself!
AU: Kairi as Stormblood's version of Lakshmi?

thanks for commissioning! :D
So I just read "the quote" and am similarly heartbroken. Can you tell me where that Steven Hall thing came from?
From what I googled of it, it seems to be something he shared in a Big Finish forum that I can’t specifically track down, though I found it quoted in other Big Finish forums. Guess it means take it with a grain of salt? I’m not sure.
