this man's irish accent is fecking terrible
Jamie Fraser 5x07
This episode really showcased Sam's talent. Such a dynamic performance.
Fool For Love is such an amazing and fun episode. There's SO much packed into it, it's unbelievable. Dat attempted kiss, Spike lol, what made you think that was going to work. Showing up with a gun and ending up with weird attempts at comforting. <3
Also I love how this episode makes fun out of Buffy's other crushes. Riley is running around the cemetery being absolutely ridiculous and getting mocked by the Scoobies. And every flashback scene with Spike and Angel just makes one thing perfectly clear. Angel is one of the most dour characters in history of tv shows and wouldn't know what the meaning of fun is if the word was tattooed on his forehead. The amount of people he's hooked up because of the force of his charismatic personality is = 0. Even after like 300 years. It's still zero.
Davis: Come to think of it, why would either of them even need a filing cabinet? [grunts]
Karen: Hmm, that’s better.
E! screen cap dump
Sooo have a screen cap dump I guess? Definitely not all-inclusive and just captures a few things from the episodes I’ve watched in the last couple months (mostly season 5 and up). Most of them are shippy? Definitely some really bad quality episode versions but I’ve included anyway. Including episode names because I always like to know that when I see caps! Posted in order I screen capped because... obviously everyone cares about that!
Pressure 165 (s5e07). Johnny is literally asking Roy’s permission to eat the food that he himself cooked.
Girl on the Balance Beam (s5e18) - really, really awful quality. Really nice scene with Johnny taking care of Roy after Roy gets shaken up in an explosion. So soft.
Foreign Trade (s4e09) - I’ve posted this one before. I don’t know if it’s shippy (my head canon says it is) but I just really like it. Johnny, once again, asking Roy for something, heh.
Involvement (s5e19) - I actually don’t remember what’s happening in this scene but that look Johnny’s giving Roy tho. #notinloveatall
Promotion (s3e07) - I’ve already posted this on an #e!analysis response to @johnnys-green-pen but obviously it deserves to be here.
Paperwork (s6e11) - Maybe not shippy but this episode has so many great little moments with the two of them. I maaaybe made some gifs, too. Couldn’t decide which one Iiked better to post.
What’s a Nice Girl Like You... (s7/movies) - I’ve seen this cap before online but it was blurry af. I don’t know if mine is actually any better. I tried some creative editing but... still not great. Probably the shippiest screen cap in the entire show though? #kissalready
Gossip (s4e03) - One of the worst quality episodes in the entire DVD set. Which is too bad, because there are so many great scenes! (I’ve definitely seen this episode in some pristine screen caps so they obviously have HD digital versions for the streaming platforms. LET US BUY IT DAMMIT) Anyway, again not shippy but cute?
Heavyweight (s4e05) - Tried to do some colour correction on some extremely bad episode quality. Roy forcing Johnny to stop moving his arm around is perfection.
The Convention (s7/movies) - one of the best hotel room scenes in the films. Johnny tries to convince Roy to come out with him and gives in to watch a movie with him instead.
EPISODE 507: Now THAT’S how you do great ‘Outlander!’
[Note that this post contains ***spoilers*** ]
No wonder this was Sam’s favorite episode of the season!
Everything was flawless.
The intimate scenes between Claire and Jamie.
Jamie’s stiff appearance as he is forced into the Red Coat.
The fear of the younger men of the Ridge and the chaos of battle.
The tragic, yet truly loving and intimate death of Murtagh.
Roger Mac’s heartbreaking arc from singing to his son to hanging from a tree.
And finally, Sam Heughan’s best performance since Wentworth.
After Murtagh dies, we watch Jamie struggle with a cacophony of emotions.
Disbelief that Murtagh is gone and that Claire can’t bring him back.
Guilt for inadvertently contributing to Murtagh’s death.
Anger towards the Governor for putting them all in a position that ultimately led to Murtagh’s demise.
And being at a complete loss as to how to conceive of being in a world without the presence of that great, loyal, lodestar of a man who was his godfather Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser.
