One thing is that the House fandom, more specifically Hilson enjoyers, seem hellbent on misinterpreting House's comments about having sex with Wilson. When he says "my chances of sex are considerably lower with Wilson" he means that they're so low they're zero, not that they're not nothing. Obviously it's fun to interpret however you want but it would be nice to see some interpretations that think for a second about the fact that House and Wilson are canonically straight and also creator intent. But again. It is fun to interpret whichever way is more fun.

and at the same time, benton having that moment with the sister of the kid with leukemia, who feels used and discarded by her parents. kind of feels like an insane parallel to make when he and carter are so distant, but ok show. i'll just let you do your thing

and mark's tumor, and kerry's LESBIANISM. i saw some Discourse on how problematic it is that they made the mean short-haired bulldog woman a lesbian but listen. this was the 90s the early 00s. she made the way for less stereotypical depictions. longest running lesbian character on prime time television, baby

*Lord John sends a message to Claire to come back to help his nephew who was injured. In the book he does send one, but the message doesn't get to her. In the book Marsali sends a message to her mother asking her to have Claire come back because Henri-Christian was sick. That was what made Claire return to the US.
