I'm having trouble deciding on which evening session to go to. I'm torn between "ANCIENT METALLURGY IN MESOAMERICA: LOCAL EXPRESSION AND INTERREGIONAL CONNECTIONS" and "ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEYS IN LIGHT OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES" (sorry for the caps). On the one hand, awesome presentations on metallurgy from all over Mesoamerica. It's bound to be kickass. On the other hand, remote sensing is a passion of mine and Chris Fisher is presenting on Angamacu, the large Early Postclassic site he discovered in the malpais of Michoacan where everyone said he would find nothing. He used LiDAR to map the site and it is HUGE. Normally I would just duck in and out of rooms, but the sessions are being held in different buildings. So I have to choose one or the other. I don't know what to do!
