There were millions of things I thought about at first. Like him interacting with a pet, maybe watching cat. The silly cute things that cats do. Him smelling a flower. Sitting outside at night and watching the stars and feeling awed. Being hugged for the first time. Waking up in the morning and deciding to doze for a little while longer... but nothing seemed appropriate, so I settled for the one thing I really really want for Gadreel. Sorry I asked for something so hard to write in the end.

What human experience I would like Gadreel to have? Being completely appreciated and accepted for who he is, finding "a family". The happiness that comes with that feeling.

That is a big one. One I'm trying to fulfill in my fic, as well. One I know many people are trying to fulfill, actually. Haha, we're so broken.

But there are also the smaller things. Like in "I'm No Angel," though I prefer to approach the topic a little more seriously.

There are experiences that we go through every day that an angel wouldn't. Or they wouldn't think to. For instance, I have him do house chores in the shelter he's in. (Because he wants to. He wants to support himself and learn.) He vacuums, he cleans, he washes dishes. Like Castiel mentioned, there's a sort of dignity to doing these menial tasks. Because they've never had to do them before. And one such as Gadreel, who knew nothing but isolation and pain for thousands of years... Taking out the trash may very well be interesting. Because it's living.

And there was the Niel angel who said he liked The Notebook. I'm pretty sure he hadn't watched that until he got stuck on Earth and masqueraded as a person. Or Tyrus, who liked bowling.

Just these little, often trivial, things that humans do I like to imagine Gadreel experiencing. Because his angelic life kinda sucked. Maybe a human one would be better.

Yeah I have lived in Canada my entire life and I think you only see the Canada that you want to see. No offense, if u want to move here go ahead but the whites here are just as racist and discriminate as any white people in any country. The ignorance here is a just as prevalent here but the thing is in America, the disgustingly pride themselves in it and they don't care that people hate them for it but Canada hides behind this fabric of lies and sugar coated bull sh*t. Im not trying to offend u

You need to see things as less, "Yeah, it sucks here, too. You're blind." And more, "Does it suck less than where you are sucks? Can you live here more comfortably than there? Can you feel like you can actually make a difference and change some things here rather than there?"

Because I am not comfortable here. I have no wiggle room here. I can't do shit here. I want out. And I know people in Canada. I know it has issues, too. I've been well-informed. It's just that those problems are less than the ones here.

We have our own kind of hillbilly here too, but they're more nice country folk who like a good hunt now and then and don't have the whole xenophobia thing going.

I have to wonder if people ever realize the reason people hate America is because it's full of xenophobic, egotistical bigots.

America isn't the only country full of xenophobic, egotistical bigots. It's the most famous for such, however. Because all America has ever done in its history is pride itself for being xenophobic and egotistical. Like, throughout history, the other countries that have discriminated against other peoples, some even going so far as to commit mass genocide (like America), don't brag about it. Or their mindset. They just sort of do it. But America. No. It's gotta wear the big britches. The Europeans came, they saw, they murdered, they bit the hand that fed them repeatedly, and they boasted about it. And they kept boasting about it. And they'll probably keep boasting about it. And so no one likes them.

I was made to say the Pledge of Allegiance from Kindergarten until middle school. Five-goddamn-years-old and I'm spouting off bullshit about serving my country. I didn't even know what a fucking country was. And then there's American history. I don't think I even have to stress how skewed that history is or who it favors. It's stupid. And if you question that? You're shunned because "you traitor. How dare you not obey the greatest country in the universe?" And it's worse in the South. The fucking area of the United States that tried to not be united prides itself in being the most patriotic. Though it still slaps Confederate flags everywhere. ?????????

And they're still pissed that they lost!

So, yeah. I hate America. I pretty much fuckin' hate white people. I wanna move to Canada where at least there are no rednecks. Because I opened my goddamn eyes and was not happy with what I saw. ...but, I don't have the means to move to Canada. So, I'm stuck getting pissed off at 90% of my family members and ranting on websites.

Do you take shipping prompts for Gadreel if they don't include sex?

Well. I read him as a sex-repulsed asexual. I'm not sure where I stand on any romantic aspirations he may have. Even with Abner, I sensed a closeness but nothing that would suggest a heavily romantic thing. Yes, Thaddeus refers to Abner as Gadreel's boyfriend, but Thaddeus was a colossal dick. And Gadreel and Abner only refer to one another as friends. Close friends, but still.

I guess I'm trying to say, "It depends?" Which is an extremely vague answer. I'm sorry. I guess he's pretty much aromantic in my head, too. :|

But if you want buddy-ish shipping prompt things, I can get all behind that sort of thing. That 'buddy cop' show between him and Castiel that a few fans like the idea of is something I am all for.

Okay, I'm still writing for another prompt, but I think I should address this one and get it out of the way.

Anon, I'm sorry to inform you--because it's the same answer you received from another user in the Gadreel tag--but I cannot do this prompt.

However, whereas the other user could not do it because of more technical reasons, I can't do it because of headcanon.

Y'see, I read Gadreel as asexual. I don't see him ever being interested in sex, either. Not with humans, not with angels, not with nothin'. And that viewpoint is influencing anything that I could possibly imagine with the prompt you've given me. I can't do it.

Again, I'm sorry, Anon. You must seek greener pastures. I'm sure someone can give you what you want. But, it ain't me.
