Do you ever think about how there are no star sparkles to indicate where keys are in sasasaap, how it's specifically Loop that's giving Siffrin the ability to know generally where the keys are in isat? Do you ever think about how so many of the keys and crests in sasasaap are in really obscure places--a hole in the wall, under a drawer, inside one random book in the library full of them? And about how many rooms saapfrin won't even enter because there's nothing worth finding in there. That they remember this even though they forget so much else.
How long did it take saapfrin to find those keys and crests on their own? Given that everyone is on a time crunch and will presumably get frozen if they take too long, or eventually run out of strength and items and die to one of the sadnesses if not... It's very possible that saapfrin spent whole loops just looking for keys. Turning over entire rooms with absolutely nothing to show for it.
Do you ever think about how sometimes they forget where those keys are and have to find them all over again? Desperately trying to find the way to progress forward while everyone else is probably trying not to panic as they're running out of time.
Do you ever think about how if there was an easy to miss key like the one in the head housemaiden's office, it would be even harder to figure out where it is for saapfrin? Or about how it's not just the main doors that lock behind you in sasasaap, but most of the doors in general and it's hard to tell which ones can still be opened again? About how, given the way the house was rearranged, it's pretty lucky that the third floor can be completed so linearly (from a watsonian perspective anyway). But we don't know what the other two floors are like--just that saapfrin doesn't like to loop back there. For whatever reason.
Do you ever think about how, if there was ever a key on any of the lower floors that was too far from the door it was supposed to open, it would almost certainly be impossible to backtrack for it?
Do you ever think about how the third floor is apparently the first time the party has seen any of the tears?
